Good service. Food was ok, but washrooms hadn't been serviced. No toilet paper. Inexcusable.

My husband and I love Craft Beer. We love the variety of choices; from drinks to food we are never disappointed. Except we were are Craft a few days ago and had the worst service in my entire life! My husband and I are very lenient when it comes to service, since we both use to work in the industry. But our server I believe her name was Maddie was god awful. She said she was new, but that does not make up for her poor attitude and service that she provided. She ignored our table for a good five minutes and did not even greet us with a smile. The whole entire night she did not seem happy to be there and annoyed that she had to serve us and gave us attitude...I am very disappointed service at Craft is going down hill...It seems like you are just hiring servers with no experience whatsoever...not acceptable! read more

Visited Craft for my first time this weekend. The room is incredible and unlike anything you've ever seen in Vancouver. They've got something like 140 beers on tap and it can be overwhelming but their staff is super knowledgeable and can help you explore new beer based off your past preferences. Our server was swamped so Marcella stepped in for the first little bit. She was incredibly sweet and helpful. I didn't catch our main server's name but she was great as well. We all shared some nachos and my girlfriend and I shared the steak and frites. The only reason I didn't vote this place 5 stars was because the food wasn't the best. The nachos were really good, but the steak was Meh. Really bland. Cooked just as I requested, but it didn't really have much flavour to it. I will definitely be back though. My friends had some of the sandwiches and they enjoyed them a lot. I will have to try a sandwich next time. read more

Love love love the old Salt Bldg. The restoration was fantastic! Such a huge space! The decor of the restaurant was well thought out.I just had a salad and it was good. Service was excellent...no complaints there. I would definitely come again to try again. read more

Ridiculously huge beer selection that looked great. Food was overall pretty good - nachos, ribs and pasta w/bolognese sauce were all winners; fish tacos and burger were just ok. Fun atmosphere and worth trying. read more

Had a day to spend in Vancouver, came to Craft Beer Market. When we arrived, there was a 10-15 minute wait to be seated, hostess said she would text once it was our turn. We sat and waited 45 minutes- when asking why everyone else before and after us had already been seated, the hostess said she called for us but we weren't there (We were sitting there the whole time). She said she would put us back on list for another wait- Really wanted to go but can't get past the terrible service from the start. read more

Had some out of town guests in and took them to yuk yucks.on the way we stopped in for food and drinks.waited 15 min. And were seated.the beer was great! Food inedible.poutine very peppery.hamburgers over done and Mac and chess with chicken was overdone and flavourless.wont be eating here anytime soon!oh the refunded the poutine!lol read more

Great spot for a beer and casual meal. The beer selection on tap is fantastic, and better than almost anywhere else in town (from what I can tell). The food is so-so, but the ambiance and beer selection more than make up for it. read more

Don't waste your time at Steel Toad Brewery up the road. Craft has better food, better drinks and WAY better service.

Not as great as I had hoped. Burger was really good and juicy! Poutine, fries and mac&cheese were over peppered. Servers were really nice however and always asking how we were doing. read more

Overall this is a great place for a drink or two. Pretty good beer selection, would rate 4.5/5 for that. Patio is nice in summertime, atmosphere is fun too. Food however deserves 2/5 - not amazing, some items are way too salty, and generally food is way overpriced. read more

This Place Was AWESOME!!! This place is a MUST for any beer lover from the Pacfic Northwest - it's about as close to Portland or Seattle as you can get without actually being in Portland or Seattle!! Vibe was great (TVs Sunday night were tuned to American football!!), food was amazing, and service was probably the best I experienced in Vancouver. I definitely recommend the Thai lettuce wraps as an appetizer and the house (beer and cheese) soup!! The only reason it is not getting five stars was the snooty attitudes the hostesses had and that whole deal... We were meeting friends who already secured a table in the bar area, yet we couldn't go find them on our own - we had to be escorted. I mean like WTF? That's not very welcoming...here we don't trust you so we're going to walk around until you find your friends to make sure they exist. If you're trying to be like Portland, don't half-ass it; bars in Portland of this caliber are all first come first served seating in the bar - this place is trying too hard in some areas. Oh, and another thing, speaking of tying too hard...food was served on wooden cutting boards instead of plates to go with the "theme" of the bar. Which would be cool, if you were eating alone or with one other person...but with more than two people (we had four) the "plates" do not all fit on the table real well without constantly trying to dodge glasses and your neighbors personal space. read more

Came with the girlfriend. The setting is amazing. The building is a huge open space suitable for large groups. Both of us ordered steak sandwiches and a beer, we split a plate of wings. Our steak sandwiches were expensive and not as good as you'd find at your local dive pub. The wings were the saving grace as they were delicious. At the end of the night we each got a pop and the bill.... Almost $70 for the two of us! Our table also noticed a food runner be extremely rude to a table near us. Will not be coming back unless invited here for a special occasion read more

My best choice for craft beer! Huge selection on tap, which is important for me! It reminds me of beer pubs in Germany! The beer is great and the food is really good for a beer place! Recommend! My favorite beer is any European wheat beer on tap! read more

We've been to craft before and always enjoy the atmosphere but today we had Rachel H as our server and she was over the moon! It was a perfect evening and she definitely matched the energy of our group. Definitely a night for the books!! read more

The Around the world beer sampler had some very tasty beers. The Poutine can feed a small army!!! Not bad at all, very good.

We recently had a family event here for more than 20 people, including kids. The staff was very accommodating, the service was friendly and prompt, the atmosphere was fantastic, the beer menu was almost overwhelming (but in a good way). The only factor preventing a five-star rating is the food; it was a little uninspiring. read more

Very cool restaurant in a very cool area! This place rocks. If you like beer, don't go anywhere else! Came here for a birthday party and had a great time. This place is huge and has a great lively atmosphere.I tried the nacho barrel and lettuce wraps-tasty. Had a burger for my main which was good. I was too full to order anything more but tried a bite of the dessert in a mug... very interesting!.Would definitely recommend for a fun night out. read more

I have been excited to check out Craft ever since I heard it was going to be opening in the Salt building forever ago. Maybe I set my expectations a bit too high. It's rare that Ive had to review a restaurant so poorly despite the fact that the beer, atmosphere and overall experience was great (save for the hike you have to take every time you have to go pee!). I went with my brother and we had excellent service. I would make this place a regular weekly locale for my friends and I that all work and live within blocks if it weren't for the fact that I think the food was all pretty bad! I ordered 3 different appetizers (the crab cake sliders, the mussles and the lettuce wraps) and they all left a lot to be desired. I'm a piggy when it comes to food, so I was baffled when we didn't finish any of the food we ordered. The best of these 3 was the mussles but becasue they are served in a wide low dish they got cold incredibly fast which is incredibly not tasty. Kind of a huge oversight. Plus serving mussles with one crusty piece of bread is a bit lame. At least do two so that you don't have to cut it in half to share it. I would have LOVED to make this place into a regular spot for the 30+ people I know that go for after work drinks and appies weekly but I'm probably going to give it a pass. I have heard that the fast food sushi and Mac and cheese are okay so maybe I'll give it another go with those menu items, but if I want to make a place my regular joint, I'm going to want to like more than 2 things on the menu. Maybe I set my hopes to high over the nearly 2 years I feel like I was waiting for this place to open. If they could offer Rogue wetbar's menu in this atmosphere with this beer menu I would be a regular. read more

Pros: Lots of great suds. Big place and attractive staff. One of the night managers, Christine? I believe, took the time to visit and ask my opinion of the restaurant. The chicken dinner was decent and I would go again, not dobut about it. Con: Waited a long time, but it was a Friday and can you put all the blame on them? No. Keep up the great service. read more

Tried Craft 3 times and this will be the last. Waited over an hour to be seated and the hostess was extremely snotty and rude. They could all do with a lesson in customer service. The only good thing is the selection of beer, but there are way better places around the city that have a good selection of beer and good customer service. I will not be supporting this group of arrogant, stuck up snobs that are living off of location and craft beer popularity. Sooner or later their crappy service will catch up to them. read more

Great location, great selection of beer. Duh. I went with a group of 8 for a work function and the service could have been better. The server didn't seem too impressed with having to serve a group of people & we were easy. We ordered drinks, 5 appies and mains and it was all on the same tab. I don't know, she could've been having an off day. It won't stop me from returning but I can't give 5 stars to a bad attitude. read more

Great place. The atmosphere is fantastic. The servers are very nice although it can be quite slow when they are busy, maybe not enough staff? Anyway, not a big problem. The food is very good and made with local ingredients so it's always fresh. The only issue that I have is that every time I have been there, no matter if I had 2 or 4 or 6 beers, I always have a pounding headache the next day. Someone told me that it might be because the beer lines haven't been cleaned properly or because they are too long to be able to clean them properly..? Anyone else have this problem or is it just me? read more

Worst service EVER from the hostess and manager working. I have never felt less welcome by any restaurant in my life. I got no welcome when me and my party walked in just attitude as if we were disturbing the hostess and the manager had the same attitude as she did. I had to walk around to find my own table as the hostess told me there were none available when there were. read more

Its alright but it really depends on what you go for. The food is really average but the atmosphere and the number of beer options are very good. I wouldnt go to craft for a meal if I was hungry but to grab a beer with a few friends, I would think of no other place. read more

I've been here a few times. I can't really speak for the food havnt had much just nachos and wings (which were good) but the assortment of craft beers is worth a visit itself. I'm an avid craft beer enthusiast and having 140+ beers available put me in heaven. The service was great. Relatively quick considering the size and volume of customers. If you're in Vancouver you have to check out Craft! read more

We had a group birthday gathering today at Craft and there were about 12 people there. Service was slow but since we had lots of people to talk to, it was bearable, but we were pretty hungry by the time the food came. When we went to pay, the server Ashley just told me what the amount was that I owed so I gave her my Visa and added a tip to that amount. I found out afterwards, another party from our group did the same thing. A no time did she ever say that there was already an 18% gratuity included in the amount owing she told us. Of course, I should has asked for the bill to verify before she charged my Visa but I trusted her. We called her back and she said she thought she told us......we know for a fact she didn't or we wouldn't have added a tip and even after she saw that we added the extra tip, she didn't correct it by saying the tip has already been included. That is a very dishonest trick but I can see how lucrative it can be for a server. She refunded the double tip for the 2 groups that discovered it but not sure about the other people that left before us. Lesson learned, always verify the itemized invoice! read more

Burgers to die for. Around the world beers are amazing, if only I had room for the Fruli float!

The Craft Beer Market has a birthday promotion on their website. Their promotion entitles the birthday boy or girl to a discount equal to their age. The website has a mail link to create a reservation for this promotion. My girlfriend made a reservation for my birthday on August 10, for the 25th. A day before my party she called to confirm the reservation since she did not receive a confirmation. She was informed that there was no reservation and they do not take reservations any more. They did not off any option for the party since the restaurant is full on the 25th. The person on the phone showed no empathy for my girlfriend having her party plans ruined. She sent an email on complaint to the restaurant manager, but has received a reply. It is clear that this restaurant does not care much for their customers. I would not suggest making any plans for groups at the Craft Beer Market since they just will not care. read more

Drink selection is great! Loved that there were so many options. This is a place to have a drink and find another place for food. Fish tacos .... Are uninspired, tired, and no effort. Large flour tortilla, large amounts of raw plain green cabbage, and small amount of fish. Come on Craft, you can do much better. read more

My boyfriend and I went on the opening weekend and when we got there (a Saturday at 5:30pm) there was already a two hour wait list! Luckily, we ended up getting a couple seats at the bar within half an hour. Was it ever worth the wait though!! With 140 craft beers on tap, it takes at least five minutes to scan through the draft list. I was super impressed! Only reason why I'm giving four stars is because it was a little pricey (to be expected downtown) and my main dish, the noodle bowl, was less than impressive. Either way, I will definitely be back! read more

Recently went to craft for a night out with a group (7) of friends, was told the wait wold be 30-45 mins.....turned out be over an hour. Hostess was not friendly at all and she sat her group of friends before my group (even though we arrived at least 20 mins before them) . Emailed the manager to inform them of how bad the evening was and i did not even get a response, very poor customer care/retention and i cannot believe they dont care enough to apologize. read more

Went for a group event and had a set menu. There wasn't enough food per person and most had to buy something else to stop the hunger. do not book a party here, it is a rip off. read more

Three stars for the great choice of beers. Excellent friendly service but sadly, the menu falls short. Dry flavourless burger smothered in Dijon mustard. Might have just been the busy night, planning to try again soon. read more

was there last evening, and ordered the butternut squash ravioli for $17.50, plus chicken for another $5.00. luckily for me i wasn't hungry because the paltry amount that was served plus the tiny piece of chicken might have made a toddler full. but worse than that was the dish was like a soup with tiny tiny pieces of pasta in the sauce - wow!! the waitress was nice but kept on interrupting our meal for what seemed like attention seeking. not impressed. still feel hungry this morning. read more

I went here for a christmas party and I've gotta say, I probably wouldn't come here on my own. The paddles are fun, of course, but I might as well go to St. Augustines or a handful of other places if that's what I'm looking for. They have a beautiful space, the service was great, despite this it's not really somewhere I want to hang around in for a long time. My main issue is the food. The prices are ridiculous for what they are putting out. We had a large party and thought that the "barrel" of nachos would suit us well, it looked very impressive from afar as we watched them travel to the tables around us. We ordered our 21 dollar nachos(we had to add guac, duh) and when they arrived we were immediately disapointed, the nachos did not reach anything close the the bottom of the barrel, it was a thin layer of nachos on top of a hefty serving platter that was, as we discovered, for presentation only. With this serving they could probably serve a MAXIMUM of 3 people, I could easily picture two hungry people polishing off the "barrel." So obviously we're still hungry, we take a plunge and order dinner. I had already had a burger earlier so I ordered the tuna, once I clarified what they were calling a "rice cake." I was stoked for a good meal, with some accurately cooked tuna. This dish was 25 dollars so I expected to get some bang for my buck. I'm really at a loss as to how they justify their food prices at this point. So I get my dish and see three miniscule cuts of tuna, I had been expecting a fillet, but what I got was approx. 6 bites of tuna. The fish was actually cooked beautifully, but I hardly got any! The "rice cake" was a deep fried patty of rice, it was totally flavourless and didn't pair well with the sauce, which would simply turn it into a salty, soggy mess. The green beans, which I generally consider a lack-luster vegetable as it is, were ok and worked well enough with the sauce. The burgers seemed good, all over 14 dollars. I had a bite of the inferno burger and I can't deny that it was a good burger, but my experiences with the other food made the whole thing off-putting. The fries were well-seasoned, but the portion wasn't great. When we left at the end of the night several people said they were still hungry, myself included. read more
