They have a great variety of beer, there's no denying that. I had several great beers from here in the two days we came. The service at the bar both times is severely lacking. They clearly need to hire more bartenders to accommodate everyone, or pay more attention to their customers. The first time we ordered food, and my grilled cheese was very burnt, I didn't like the way the bartender handled it, but at least he sent a manager over ten minutes later. It took him a while to check on us, so I was kinda forced to eat it at first, and when he finally did check on us I was almost done with it. When our bill came, I was charged for two grilled cheeses. What? You think I would get the one waived for the terrible service. read more

Really great place to get a few drinks, watch the game, and eat with friends. Staff is really friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and beer. I'll recommend it to other friends. Food was pretty good also. Ordered Nacho's, and it was a huge size. Perfect for the 3 of us. Will come back again on another weekend. read more

This place was accommodating including the stylish waiter. The food though was something else. I ordered ribs and it may be a matter of pre-conceived expectation but the ribs were dry. No sauce anywhere to be found. The coleslaw was too sweet, the chimichurri sauce smooth instead of the usual chunky and and an incongruous mixture of rice and corn was served with it. The plus point was that the coke was refilled with them being asked. read more

I was impressed with Craft. The space is unbelievable - open and inviting (high ceilings), yet feels intimate enough when you're sitting down at a table. Plus, they've got a great selection of beers on tap. My friend and I came here on a Sunday evening at around 7pm (after attempting to come on a Friday night when the wait was over 2 hours long). They said the wait would be about 45-60 minutes, so we decided it was worth it. (Side note: the waitress we had said she talked to some people who waited over 4 hours to get in over the weekend - who waits that long!?) Once seated, we immediately decided to try the 6 x 4 oz. flight of beers (B.C. pale ales) which I think was $10.75. Our server was knowledgable about all of the beers, and was able to recommend additional beers for us based on the 6 we were sampling. The food was somewhat expensive for a pub, but not surprising considering the kind of place it was, and the location. They were having a $7 appy special, however, a couple of the options weren't on special - including what we wanted - which was the nachos. :) We ended up sharing the nachos anyway ($18), as well as the mac and cheese ($16). The beers were somewhat expensive - ranging from $7 to $9 each. But again, it's what you get for the kind of place it was, the location, and the sheer quantities of beers they had available ON TAP. Our waitress told us that they currently were only taking limited reservations (Monday-Wednesdays before 6pm for parties over 8 people), which is understandable, but super inconvenient. I would love to plan an evening to come here with my friends one weekend, but am not willing to wait 2-4 hours for a table to open up. :| So... yes, I would definitely come here again. It's a very cool place. The food was great, and the atmosphere was perfect. But it would have to be during off-peak times... because while I love beer, I don't love it enough to wait hours to get served one. read more

Guys: Shave the sides of your head, slick what's left and comb it over! You'll look out of place and uncool if you don't!! Ladies: No dress code required :) Another good visit. Had a burger this time. It was cooked well and tasted good. The fries were really good even after going cold later on. Service is casual, polite and friendly even after we stopped ordering booze. I like that. Keep it up CBM!! read more

Craft has too much going for it. A distinct building in a bustling location means it's always busy. Too bad. I've been there once and have been meaning to go back, but weekends are all I've got, and there's just no getting parking and a table on weekends. While I'm not a beer person, my friends found the selection fun to pick through. And the flight of beers option is a great way to sample a variety. I was put off by the nacho barrel which looks like a lot of nachos, but is actually a standard amount on a plate with a false bottom. Not impressed with the slight-of-hand attempt to mislead guests. On the other hand, I was very pleased by the veggie plate which came with a generous serving of fresh hummous, and pita. Nice to have a healthy option that's not your typical bar salad. read more

This place was so awesome! It's HUGE, and has lots of great indoor and outdoor seating. I came on a Monday and my boyfriend and I got $9 flights of beer for all day happy hour. There were 6 4oz beers, so I feel like that's a good deal. I liked some beers more than the others, particularly the sours, but they definitely had a large variety so you can easily find what you like. We didn't try any of the food, but it looked good, even the salads. I would highly recommend coming here, it was so fun! read more

This is a fantastically large space that made me feel safe during COVID. I am always very appreciative when the staff wear masks for consideration of their own health, and the health of others. Our server was very helpful and nice, and was an expert at beer recommendations. I am not a beer person, but at Craft you will definitely be able to find something that suits your taste as they have a massive selection of beers that is unparalleled. There is a variety of food, however the menu here may not be the best if you are trying to find something vegan as there is only 1 or 2 options. However, the food is very delicious. The Mac N Cheese is probably the cheesiest I've seen. This is a great spot to go for brunch if you are looking for a very open space, If you want to sit on the patio I would reserve ahead quite in advance as it fills up fast. read more

That hit the spot! Shared some lettuce wraps and killer Mac and cheese with my guy. Both tasted great! The lettuce wraps were really flavorful and fresh and a good contrast to the rich Mac. The space itself is awesome but I'm sure it gets suuuuper loud which these days I can't say I'm into, but hey it's a beer hall, so it would definitely be a fun place to go on a weekend with a big group and get drunk without talking to anyone on any deep level if that's your bag. If you don't like crazy loud places while eating and meeting friends, lunch time on a weekday is a good option. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. The huge beer selection on tap is certainly the highlight here. read more

We went here on a Saturday around 4 o'clock for a happy hour. The place was not crowded, and we didn't have to wait for a table. They have a lot of draft beer is available, which was great for a beer lover. I ordered a flight of six local beer samples each about 4 ounces for $11.95. The service was good, there are lots of TVs to watch sports, and the general ambience is pretty good. We only ordered fries and some mac & cheese to share, so I can't say much about the food. But it seems like this would be a pretty good place to go grab a beer and watch the game. read more

We gave Craft a second chance, after a less-than-ideal night. This time, the whole staff came through and served up a great night! Kevin (GM) arranged for us to come in and threw in a nice bottle of wine to get us started. Nicole and Ellie were awesome servers - friendly, funny, super attentive, and everything you'd want for a dine-in service experience. Taylor, the manager that we had the last time we were in, came by and acknowledged that things could have better the last time, and he helped make things right for us. The food and drinks were great! (As to be expected from Craft!). Definitely, coming back again. Thanks to the whole Craft team! read more

The Good: The beer selection is fantastic and there is always a selection of new and interesting things to try. Atmosphere and service is good. The location is convenient. The Bad: The food. I thought maybe I was just ordering the wrong things, but now that I've tried a good portion of the menu, I can say respectably the food is not good. Really not good. Craft: Please, I want to like you so much but you need to work on the food. It's never meets expectation and always leaves me feeling like maybe I should have eaten elsewhere. You have so many things going for you but this is a huge killer for me. If it weren't for the fact that it's able to accommodate a bigger group of people, I would never choose to eat here willingly. The quality of the food is low. It looks good but *never* taste on par with the visuals. It's way too expensive based on those two things. I've never had sadder hummus and veggies (Mezze Platter). Seriously, never order this appetizer. read more

Some thoughts about this place.......... 1) Was super excited to try out this place on the first day, but the wait list was about 3 hours long. Yikes. Finally got in last Saturday night, hmmmmm........ lots of hype about a new restaurant opening but that's about it. 2) I think Craft is still figuring out it's "identity." They call themselves a restaurant, BUT they serve pub food, they have sports on tv, and loud blaring music. 3) If you want to watch the hockey game and are expecting to hear sound, you'll be waiting a long time. It's not going to happen. 4) Service is slow and forgetful. The waitress forgot to ask us what we wanted to eat, she forgot to give us the beer, and once the bill came, it was a long wait for the debit machine. 5) Yeah, they have a ton of beer on the menu, but most of them were not memorable. I wouldn't call Granville Island or Bud Light "special." Try it out once for the great atmosphere, but that's about it. read more

Wow, quite an impressive beer list for Vancouver. Coming from Portland, microbreweries are plentiful and well represented here at Craft. This is the first time I've been in this area, since it's been revamped. We came late at night, wanting a few appetizers and a few beers. I haven't had poutine in awhile. We shared the poke and the poutine appetizer. The only thing about the poutine was that it was loaded with pepper. Sucks when you're in Portland and poutine is huge here, but for some reason they can't get it right. I settled for a hoegaarden, for something light and I haven't had it since Europe. Little did I know, I ordered a giant mug of it. Friendly wait staff, great food and excellent beer list. read more

This is a great hangout for casual beers and food. We reserved for around 10 people and they were very accommodating. Putting our group upstairs where it wasn't so loud. The restaurant has a huge beer list and not a lot of selection for wine unfortunately The food was a bit expensive. We ordered Chicuterie and cheese board for $21. Didn't feel like we got the value for the price. Their menu selection for food was not great. It's a good hang out for people who like beer but I'm not one of them. read more

It's an OK place. It's a little bit too loud and too big. The waitress only gives me water when I asked for it and never filled it again. This is our second visit to CRAFT - and it has been a good experience both times. First off - the service has been great. My wife is a new beer drinker so she likes to sample..... A lot. The bartenders have been super cool and patient. Big kudos to them. I ordered the chicken burger on a gluten free bun, I think it was one of the best gluten free buns I've had. Good sandwich too. They have a kale Caesar salad that was also excellent. CRAFT will remain on our list of "to go" spots when we are in Vancouver and we recommend it to our friends. read more

Okay wow. We went to Science World then stopped here for beers and lunch. We had the Canada 150 Beer Flight and there was a good combo of local beers that complimented each other. I also had the Duchesse De Bourgogne and I can definitely tell it was fresh and not overly fermented. We had the Baja fish tacos. I really enjoyed the avocado sauce and the Craft hot sauce, but there was such a tiny piece of fish on each taco. Not fair. The Bolognese was fantastic! The best aspects of this location of an Alberta-based group are the terrific interior of the restored Salt Building and, not surprisingly, the 100+ beers on tap. The massive interior space and exposed wood trusses give the place a good, warm feel. The beer selection is impressive and geographically extensive though I've heard complaints that it's a bit mainstream. Beers that should be served in distinctive glasses are, which is great for the European beers. The menu isn't that extensive but that's likely a good thing as the main staples are there. I'm a bit of a fan of the pasta bolognese. The "flatbreads" are a shortcut around having real pizza though. A major complaint is the volume and repetitiveness of the house music. While the selections aren't terrible (middle of the road rock mostly) the volume tends to be at a conversation-stifling level. I've complained to servers and management multiple times to no avail though Craft is hardly the only offender in this practice. read more

Well, if you want to get seated between two groups of children on a Sunday morning when there are literally dozens of tables open, and then told that you don't get to choose what beer are in your flight, then this is the place for you. The food here is overpriced and poor quality. We ordered wings and they were undercooked with no flavour. The beer selection is large but also overpriced and they don't pull a full glass. Today was the last straw. We wont be returning. read more

Great place for lunch, but discovered Tuesday special is a great introduction to a burger and a long list of beers. Service is excellent..

Craft is HUGE! I'd say because if it's size it's perfect for parties, however they have a restaurant license so there are a few rules involved in reserving tables for a party. We reserved an area for 30 people on the mezzanine but they would only seat us if more than half of the party were within 15 minutes of the booking. Something to be aware of for a work colleague drop-by-style get together. I've eaten several things off the menu and they've all been great. My favourite is the TLT tuna sandwich. There are great apples for a party! The atmosphere is also great for a few friends catching up and is family friendly. Don't forget happy hour Monday-Friday until 6pm! read more

Terrible. Just terrible. If it wasn't for how beautiful this place actually is, I'd give it 1 star. Came here as the final stop of a day-long brewery hop for a full meal and one final hoorah of beer-related pleasure. NO happy hour on Saturdays (boo!) and their tasting flight included... I kid you not... BUD LIGHT. B U D. L I G H T. Bud Light? Are you kidding? This is literally, LITERALLY a Mecca of different beers and you choose America's pee pee water beer as a highlight? Don't get me wrong, I live off Bud Light in the summer, but c'mon guys. The food is extremely sub par. I was romanced into trying their crispy chicken burger and it was more like "pretzel bun covered in mayo with the essence of chicken". My guy and I attempted to share but when we cut the burger in half we noticed that it was 90% bun. For $18 I expect the meat to bun ratio to be as least CLOSE to even. I really wanted to go to the American for dirty burgers and pinball, but was outvoted and wound up at this disappointment. I'll know for next time to drag my heels in through the mud and insist on somewhere else. read more

I generally like this place, the food is very decent for what it is, and I love the beer selection. Service has been quite decent. My main issue here is this, I ordered a salad that's supposed to have bits of bacon on it. When I received it, it had maybe 4-5 tiny little pieces. I brought it to the servers attention, and asked for the bacon bits that should already be on it. She brought me some, no questions asked. However my issue is when I received my bill, they charged me for the bacon. I thought, I'll mention it, no big deal. Likely a mistake. She said oh ok no problem, simple right? However THEN a male manger walks over and makes a thing about it, makes a very rude comment, "well if YOU felt that way." As though I'm lying about bits of bacon. Why the heck did you waste your time, coming over to us over 1.50? And then insult our table with your salty comment??. It was not necessary for you to come to us over that. Waste of your time, waste of our time. It was a super simple thing , and YOU OVER 1.50 made it into a thing. We thought it was so silly. read more

The space is huge and cavernous. We came here on a Friday night around 8pm and it was packed - with our wait being 30min for a table of 4. It was nice because they just take your number and text when ready. So you are free to walk around. They have a huge selection of beers from around the world. Once seated we all got the beer sampler, 6 beers nicely served on a wooden block. We got a nice variety: lager, ales, sour, stout. As for the food, it was typical pub food. Nothing super exciting. We were in Vancouver for the weekend, but managed to have our fair share of fried pickles at various pubs. In all of them, the picke was cut length wise vs crosswise like the pickle chips. I personally like the pickle chip version better. The best thing about this place is the space inside. They played great music when we were there. However, definitely not the place for a conversation. read more

Was not going to review our experience but changed my mind. Beer selection is excellent and service from staff was good. What bothered me was the manager asked how things were going and we replied that the burger was a little messy - it was a blue cheese bacon thing. WOW. It's big, it's brand-new, it's beautiful, their beer selection is terrific, their service is amazing, and they have great Happy Hour deals on the house wine and beers. That's it in a nutshell. As someone who particularly loves breweries and modern refurbished warehouses, this place really hit the spot for me. The size allows for any kind of group, and they have boisterous bar area, long tables, open window areas, quiet lounge areas, and everything in between. I didn't try the food, but for beer alone, I really loved it here. This was one of the few places I found that also had an extensive beer list (sorted by style) that actually had fairly even representation of all different kinds of beers, so their dark/porter/stout section was nearly as robust as their others, which I found to be rare in Vancouver. Personally, I recommend the Beam Me Up Cappuccino Milk Stout - holy crap. But for hot days or spicy food, the Lemongrass Gin Saison was very impressive as well. read more
