My experience is that…read morefor the help in the store you either get the highly educated college professor type of brewer who knows everything, has all the answers, but won't share his info / opinion / suggestions with you unless asked a direct question (questions like "I'm brewing a lager what yeast do you suggest" gets met with 15 more questions, no real answers and a roll of the eyes) or you get the newbie extract brewer who has limited knowledge and just got a job at the brew shop to get a pay check and eventually grow his new found hobby into something more. At least I thought this until I met Chuck and the crew down at What Ales Ya. The small shop was a destination to get my CO2 tank filled on a Saturday afternoon. When I arrived they informed me the tank was out of code and would need testing prior to getting filled. Frustrated with the answer given they offered me several different options all of which cost about the same as getting the canister tested. Once settling on an option I realized I was without my wallet. Rather than sending me home for it Chuck let me take the $80.00 canister home and trusted that I would call him later that day and pay for the purchase over the phone. I didn't ask the guys too many home brewing questions but heard a few other customers talking to them about their brewing. These guys are old school original home brewers who have witnessed the craft grow over the last 20 years and know whatever there is to know about home brewing. If you're looking to start home brewing or just trying to find a place to buys your supplies and a few ingredients for your next brew session check these guys out.

That's what I'm talkin about! In the wine department, they seemed to have a good selection of Pinot Grigio's (my wine of choice). Cheapies from $7 up to more premium wines near $25. A drive through window makes picking up the goods a breeze.

They haves what you see in the grocery stores, but they also have a huge selection of high-end items you would find at Total Wine. The place was spotless, and the owner was super friendly. He went back to the liquor store this evening, thinking they would be apologetic for the mistake and would fix it. He wasn't even angry, and understood mistakes happen. Instead they tried to blame my husband for the overcharge and refused to do anything about it. We're reporting this business. Absolutely unacceptable. Horrible business practice.
