This is a fun way to spend some time on a Sunday afternoon! They were offering free Sunday mom throwing in July only. Parking is really easy, they are located next to Tsunami restaurant. Social distancing and mask wearing was in effect. I made reservations due to this being a popular thing to do in the area. Make sure you pay attention to which location you sign up for, I signed up for Columbia location, but went to Lexington by accident. The staff were very accommodating, and let the other store know that I was on my way to Columbia. Great customer service from start to finish! Inside has open space bays with safety fences on the sides. Each booth in use was at least 6ft apart from another group. We signed a waiver and one of the staff members gave all the deets about Axe throwing. Its takes a bit to get your rhythm when you start. Once you put a little force behind the throwing, you wont have any issues. They do have a bar, and clean bathrooms. For two people one hour is enough, if you bring a group you will need at least two hrs. I think this is a great way to spend some time with family, friends or co workers. I do recommend everyone try something different like Axe Throwing! Pleasantly surprised myself with my first time throwing axes!!

What a fun experience this was! My friend and I were hanging out in the area and decided to stop in on a whim. When we got there it was pretty crowded so we thought we would have to come back. Jake greeted us and told us it would be wait and got us set up shortly after arriving. Even though he was the only one working on a busy Sunday afternoon, his instructions were very thorough and he was super friendly. Between two people an hour is plenty of time. By the end we were talking about how tired our arms were. They also offer drinks and there is a bar in the same building so time goes by pretty quickly. The location is great and there is plenty of room for a group of friends to gather. I would definitely come back in the future.

First time axe throwing and I had a blast! Could have used a bit more tips/training as a first timer, though. The vibe was great, everyone was extremely friendly!

Awesome place for a date night or a group! My hubby and I had a BLAST. Deff recommend 2 hours when throwing if you've never done it before! Fast and friendly service! Highly recommend

Today was our first time axe throwing. To day the least, we were NOT pros. We had a great teacher, his name was Wulf! He taught us how to throw, the different ways to throw and safety! Personally, I was struggling with my accuracy and getting the axe to hit the board. Wulf came over and really helped me square up and get accurate! It was so cool, such a great experience and I will definitely be coming back!!

This a wonderfully novel idea for Columbia and a fun way to spend a night out. I learned a few things from my first trip. 1. Definitely go with a group of people. This probably isn't a date place. A big group is the way to go so you can take turns and cheer each other on. 2. It's kinda pricey. We each paid for 2 hours and it was a chunk o' change. This leads me to... 3. You only need to do this for about an hour before it gets a bit monotonous. Unless you are a huge lover of axe throwing then I'd stick to an hour. 4. They ask you to tip the person at the stall/instructor when you pay for your time. We did tip but I'm not sure what we tipped for. The gentleman helping us was there for maybe 3 minutes at the beginning of our two hours to give us the low down and start our timers. Then he disappeared. I think he popped back by once to see how we were doing and then at the end to shut off our timers. So... tipping is up to you. 5. They do have a bar where you can purchase drinks but you go get those yourself. 6. There are 2 size axes. The bigger one was easier to throw. 7. Once I got the hang of it and landed a few bullseyes I got a bit bored. Overall it's fun for an after dinner event for an hour or so. Cost wise it's probably a tad more pricey than a movie for 2 with popcorn and drinks. I'm glad to have an new alternative for a good time in Columbia.

This is a cute area in there where you can take pictures

I loved it even though I suck they were super nice let my sister throw for free for her birthday and even taught us how to throw them axe! 10/10

The ace throwing is terrible. It's impossible to get the axe to stick. Cheap wood and materials. Just bounces each time. A waste of money.

Had a great time throwing Axe/hatchets for the first time. I've been meaning to try this out, but…read morewhile in town visiting a friend, I figured what better way to spend some time doing this while hanging out. The attendant (owner?) Brad was really cool. We paid up and he showed us how to throw (neither of us had done it before). He quickly went over the rules which are simple and common sense such as "don't throw axes at other people", gave us a demonstration and then watched us throw a few before walking away encouraging us to have a good time. The boards are marked so that you can record scores and a sheet posted of some games you can play to make it interesting. We played a couple games but honestly had the most fun just throwing and trying to get it as close to the bullseye as possible. This was great way to spend an hour and would definitely recommend if you're visiting here. Feel free to bring a 4 pack over from the nearby brewery across the way.

They allow you to bring in food and beverage and will put your beer on ice for you. This is probably a highly profitable business because there is such low overhead. The bays are on a reserved basis with a convenient online reservation system. The target is approximately 12 feet from the toe line and you throw, essentially a hatchet, overhanded towards the target. After a few practice runs, you can then play competitive games (ala darts) and even in teams. There is a waiver involved and a short educational "how-to" for technique and then you are on your own. Safety rules, only one "ax" out at a time. I took my 80 year old mother-in-law, my wife and three college aged sons and we had a blast. The restaurant across the courtyard will deliver and the brewery next to the restaurant will sell beer you can bring over if you wish. We went on a Saturday afternoon and had a fun time. I say this is profitable because it is a few 2X6 boards nailed alongside one another for the target to be painted on and the axes are re-usable like a putter at a miniature golf course. After the short safety and training speech, it is all self service.

Unfortunately we didn't make it past the front desk. The gentlemen who I assume was either an owner or manager or in charge (gray, long, greasy hair and sleeveless shirt and tattoos) rudely kept telling us we didn't need a reservation and was mocking us telling us that "this isn't a fancy dinner place" - as if we did something wrong. He kept repeating it and made us feel really uncomfortable. It's possible he was on drugs, but we decided to leave and not give them our business. It was a really big let down.

Explained the rules, showed us a few games and even showed us the different blades they have that you can pay extra and use which are super unique and fun! There's alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages for sale. There's plenty of parking since it's located in a plaza that has other establishments such as restaurants, breweries, classes.. It's definitely something fun to try out with friends, family or on a date.. it is a bit pricey but every so often nice to splurge. They accept all manor cc's and cash, and they sell gift cards!
