I read a review that said you might as well go to that place with the big red lobster on it, but I have one of those at home so I stuck with this choice. I like the variety and the soul food sides with your fish. The crab Rangoons with the chili sauce was yummy! I tried the Henny Island because I as curious if Henny could be a girl drink....it's a tomgirl It might bully you a bit, but still sweet. The service was quick. Harmony was nice and checked on us. You can tell they really want you to get comfortable and enjoy yourself because they put butcher paper on the table. Eat the goodies and leave the shells behind is the message I received. And right now they're playing some Christmas music with a little boogie to it, so I know the play list is jumping in a regular day. I would eat here again-and when I do, I'm ordering those greens-so be ready Crab DJ

I let my wife pick our dinner spot last night, and she wanted to go back to Crab Du Jour, so it's obviously a favorite of hers. The restaurant was very clean, almost sparkly. This time our server was not only quick, but also knew the menu and made good recommendations. My wife had her usual Dungie crab and shrimp boil with sausage. It had a fair amount of kick, especially the sausage. Would love to be able to get some at the market. I tried their gumbo, then their seafood pasta. The gumbo was wonderful, even had pieces of okra in it (call me weird, but I LIKE okra), and was very savory and filling. The seafood pasta was also good, with clams, mussels and shrimp in marinara, but could have used a pinch more salt in the pasta water and maybe a minute less boiling time. All-in-all, a very good dinner at a fair price. I'm already looking forward to a future visit.

Overcooked egg. Crab is small but the picture doesn't show that very well

Just go to Red Lobster. The server was fantastic. This was not her fault. My seafood boil was the WORST I've ever had. The corn was good. The egg was overcooked along with the crab. The shell was so soft and wouldn't crack, it bent. In fact, at one point my crab meat shot out onto the floor because it was so rubbery! Not to mention the snow crab was ridiculously small. Not worth over $30. The music was great. The vibe of the restaurant is chill, but the cooks need some training.

What a great find in Ashville NC. Best seafood restaurant. Our waiter was excellent helped us in suggesting our seafood broil. We ordered two different kinds of seafood. It's a lot to eat for one person. The sauce is to die for. Lobster , Crab legs , scallops and shrimp was just too yummy . Enjoyed their Margaritas too !! It's a must for those who are visiting Ashville NC.

Host was great, server "Bianca" was great, food was awesome Price appeared high, but the amount of food was worth it. Spinach dip was terrible. Will give it 3 stars due to tiny lobby for people to stand in while waiting. Saw a lot of people leave when they had a 30 minute wait outside the door. Was told they are short staffed and caused the long wait times and build up of customers at the door. Probably a much better restaurant when fully staffed.

Found this spot while on a business trip to Asheville. Service was horrible slow. Waiting almost 25 minutes for a drink so you can imagine how long we waited for food. Food was ok at most. Would not recommend this place until they get their service and wait times under control. I mean really....25 mins for a drink

Food was just amazing. if you love seafood this is the spot to go. The server was very kind. She was willing to take off some things because we ordered too much lol but this is a fun place to go. You can grab a bigger group of people if you need they'll make it work.

Boiled seafood WOW! We are from Cajun country; Lafayette, Louisiana. This is the closest to back home. We brought our neighbors, and they were impressed too. Lobster, shrimp, crab in Cajun seasoning- medium. Next time, I will get hot! Even the potatoes and corn were cooked perfectly. So we wanted a different appetizer. So We tried the shrimp fried rice. SUPRISE- IT WAS EXCEPTIONAL! We got a little soy on the side that made it even better. Next time, I hope they have it again. Colby, our waitor, was attentive and honest. Great service. Will be back soon!!! Carrot cake was the icing on the cake, literally. YUM!!

From Ebony greeting us with a smile, to Lyric taking our order and bringing us tasty, hot food from the kitchen. We were happy from opening the door to walking back out. Clean, friendly and VERY REASONABLE $$$$$$$ You could not eat quality seafood like this - at this price anywhere- I usually enjoy Vinnie's & The Lobster Trap locally and travel to Charleston for fresh seafood. We enjoyed this meal- it is family friendly and offers a full bar. This staff needs your help... let's assist these young people keep the doors open & going and maybe we can enjoy lots more wonderful meals as we did today .

OK, so we came to this place called the lobster trap and it was really interesting to see the…read moreinterior decor was just like that of any average restaurant you would go to in New York City, but this is Asheville North Carolina! So we talked to the hostess, who said yeah, it was going to be about an hour and 45 minute wait; we laughed and said maybe we'll try another day but there was a possibility that we could sit at a bar top because it looked like an older couple was about to leave and two seats were about to open at the bar itself so we decided to wait, and we're glad we did because we had the most amazing lobster and crab cakes I think I've had in any midwestern or southern state outside of the New England area! I will say you have to put this place on your menu if you ever go out to eat for seafood anywhere in Asheville, it is phenomenal! The collard greens were perfect and I usually done even like those, the corn was perfect and the potatoes were really good dipped in the butter included with the lobster tail. Try it! And the bitter drawn old fashioned was perfect as well. Outside of bourbon country, I haven't seen many good old fashioned, but this one hit! Staff was attentive and courteous. Highly recommend.

It was a Saturday night so we weren't sure if a table or bar seats would be available. The incredibly polite hosts said they would see what could be done, and less than 10 minutes later we had a lovely table. The restaurant is exceptionally clean and the staff was the epitomy of professional. There was also live music (a nice bonus), but not loud enough to detract from a conversation. Let me tell ya, if you like seafood get your butt to the Lobster Trap. The oysters were very fresh and delectable. The blackened snapper and coconut crusted halibut were to die for. Seriously one of the better meals of my 42 years. Albeit, somewhere pricy, but honestly well worth it (especially when on vacation). Get on down to the Lobster Trap and you will not regret it. Cheers!

Hearty, delicious and satisfying food in a low-lit, noisy environment…read more This was our first visit to Bull and Beggar. The restaurant's decor is eccentric - lots of taxidermied wildlife, cookbooks, and (from our vantage point in the loft) giant jars of Duke's mayonnaise - and the food is worth going back for. I had the steak frites, my husband tried the pork chop Milanese, and we shared the marmalade tart. My filet was cooked and seasoned perfectly, and the accompanying sauce was silky smooth and addictive. The fries were salty, crispy perfection. My husband gave his pork chop high marks as well. I tried a bit of the sweet pea salad served with it, and I was suddenly 4 years old, following my mom through the garden and eating more peas than I dropped into my little basket. Fresh, pure summer. The marmalade tart was a great way to end the meal. Perfect balance of bitter and sweet. One caveat: This may not be the place if you're looking for an evening of quiet conversation. The room's acoustics bounced every sound off of every wall, and the resulting cacophony made it hard to hear each other or our very kind and efficient server at times.

On the other hand, it didn't taste like a good cake either. It was still fine, but wouldn't say it's my personal preference. Apple Celeriac Salad (7/10): pretty good salad. I liked the cheese to bind it all together Escargot (6/10): pretty average. I think they could have done more to bring out more umami and richness Steak Haché (8/10): this is actually a nice budget version of the steak. The sauce is DELICIOUS. Service was good. Loved the restaurant interior. We were on the second floor mezzanine.

I'm here for my eldest son's birthday and of course our first dinner here, with his wonderful group of friends would of course be at The Admiral Restaurant; most likely the best restaurant in town. I've been to The Admiral several times before, so I'm making this review an updated version of just how good a place can still hold its reputation. For a restaurant so damn good, there is nothing fancy about it. It's set up like a small town diner; and that's what makes it so much comfortable. The service is spot on and their menu has so many wonderful choices at not "break the bank" prices. Us six diners ordered: * Caesar salad - for a southern restaurant making a Caesar this good, it was enchanting! It had Croutons, Parmesan and Anchovy * Ribeye Steak - see above accolade! With tallow confit potatoes, glazed carrots, chimichurri, goat cheese * Cheeseburger with fries - a mile high beauty with Cheddar, Dijonnaise, B&B Pickles, grilled Onion, and fries - was enchanting * Beef Tartare - with chile aioli, mustard seed, chive, ramp, black garlic, egg yolk * Smoked Trout Mantecato had black pepper-parmesan toast, Furikake, yuzu tobik * Airliner Chicken Breast with crispy red rice, tomatoes, romano beans, herb Every dish above was excellent. For a restaurant to be this consistent (after ten years for me) states just how dedicated this restaurant is for impeccability.

I had seen very good things about it online and I didn't wanna have to wait so I made a reservation for 1030 and we are accommodated immediately. The scrambled eggs were standard scrambled eggs nothing to write home about, but no complaints, the cheddar grits were incredible. Some of the smoothest most luscious grit I have ever had with a really wonderful flavor. The biscuit was solid and they provided some jam which pair nicely. A very good breakfast.
