I do not recommend this man to fix your garage. We paid him a deposit of 500 dollars up front so he can start to install a new garage door. At first he was professional and polite . He said he'll have the door in 1 month. It has been 4 months since then. He ghosted me and never answered his phone again. His a phony and a liar without morals. I will be contacting my bank so they can back charge so I'll get my money from this con artist of a person. read more

So, if for some reason the other 11 5-star ratings didn't convince and you are reading this, there won't be much if any new content. What else is there to say?? But for those that like redundancy, here goes; Having been a landlord for 20+ years, and a home owner about as long, I have dealt with all varieties of contractors and under all sorts of variables. Rob aka: CR Door is as legitimate as it gets, both you and he deserve each other's business. Knowledge, professionalism, integrity, timeliness, personality, price point, quality work product and anything else I failed to mention--all world class. Really. Stop looking, and engage the best, you won't be disappointed. Rob did a complete rehab/new install of my garage door, motor and frame. It's perfect. read more

For the life of me I cannot understand why my home's previous owners bought a galvanized steel door in the Sunset/Parkside district. I am sure my neighbors were as tired of me grinding and repainting that rust magnet eye sore every other month, as much as I was of doing it. Not. Eventually the damn rollers started rusting sticking too. Robert was the 3rd guy I called to replace my garage door and third quote I got. He was the least expensive by a margin not to pass on so I ordered the door. He is super responsive and made quick work of that masterpiece of oxidation, replacing it with a sweet looking wood/windowed version. Super kewl dude too. My only complaints are to myself. I should have taken him up on the offer to paint the thing too, not that it is hard to do itself but doing it with your two year old's "help", and overhyped sense of competence, is a activity I will not do again. Blink once and she is painting the neighbors garage too. Anyway I highly recommend CR Door. read more

Robert was on time, pleasurable to deal with, and as professional as it gets. I gave Robert the symptoms (garage door wouldn't open yet I could hear the motor), and I hinted that it was a gear and sprocket job. I contacted other vendors who **immediately** gave me a shine job. Oh you need a new motor, oh you need a new this, oh you need a new that. Robert? Nope. Confirmed it was a gear and sprocket job, came right over, quoted me a price and that was that. Garage door opens, closes to spec and we won't have to deal with this for another 10years probably. If you're in SF and need someone who professionally deals with garage doors, then Robert is your man. Self directed, self-owned. Support the right people in your community as Robert supported me. read more

I'm so glad I found Robert on yelp! He was professional and very easy to schedule appointment with. He has done an amazing job repairing our garage door. He also offered to come back on the weekend to repair the gap underneath the garage door to prevent unwelcome guests from entering our house. It's so hard to find professionals who take pride in their work nowadays. Robert is a rare breed and I'll definitely refer my friends and family to him. read more

My electric garage door system was about 30 years old and being down to one remote that did not work anymore it was time to check into getting a new system installed. I called around and Robert was available to come out that same week to let me know the options and quote me a price. He came back on a Saturday, my only day off that week to get the system all installed. Great service and price was reasonable - lower than other places I checked. Would definitely recommend to others in the future. Sometimes in the past being a single woman service folks have tried to take advantage of my "lack of knowledge" pertaining to certain projects, so I appreciate very much a fair and honest price not trying to sell me the most expensive device and tag on fees in the process. read more

I found Robert quite by chance when he was installing a garage door down the street from me. After receiving a couple options/quotes from him, I hired him to replace our very old wooden garage door in an odd (low headroom) space. He was able to make the adaptations that were necessary (rear-mounted spring) for our situation, all singlehandedly. I got to talk with Robert and found him to be an honest, friendly, easy going person. He accommodated every request without nickel-and-diming me for each thing. Thanks for everything Robert - our home just became a lot more functional! read more

Rob did an excellent job for me. Really happy with the product selection, ease of time selection, awesome service and payment options. I recommend Rob for all future work. Cheers and thanks for the great job Rob. Sid read more

Robert, if you read this, all I want is for you to finish the job. I paid in full - please do your part. If you do so, I'm happy to remove this review. Here's the frustrating backstory: Robert installed an aluminum and glass garage door for the front of our living room. It was rather expensive, which was okay because we wanted it to look good. Robert was easy to schedule and very polite at first. The problems began when he started working. First, he drilled the wrong side of one of the panels. So now we have a hole on the outside of what is essentially our living room wall. He promised to replace that panel but never did. Next, he neglected to bring along any of the rubber insulating components for the edge of the door. This is a particularly important part of the job, since the door opens into our living room. We need the insulation. Robert promised to return the next day to finish that step - arguably the easiest part of the whole job - but of course he never did that either. I paid Robert in full trusting that he would be back within the week like he promised. He never returned, and he stopped responding to messages. I'm not sure what's so hard about installing rubber insulation stripping, but it's a major roadblock in our case. I have called and emailed more times that I can count. No response. Finally I used a number that he hadn't seen before to text him, and he got right back to me. As soon as he realized who I was, he began to ignore that number as well. ALL I WANT IS THE INSULATION! Robert, seriously man, this is the easiest thing in the world. Just install the rubber bits and go away. I'm not even asking you to replace the panel you drilled. It's cold and rainy, and my living room is drafty because you can't finish this job. Just follow through please. read more

Scheduling by text and phone conversations. Clear objectives and plans when planning install and parts. Robert from CR Door installed a Liftmaster belt drive garage door opener in an existing 8ft metal garage door at my commercial property in Concord, CA. Punctual arrival and finish time as conveyed and expected. Unlike a competitor, no nickel and diming "add on" accessories such as (included) remote keypad. Best value overall in price workmanship I've found amongst the providers in the area. Payment via Square, credit card, too. I will do business with Robert again. read more

Robert is fantastic. He came over promptly, helped setup my keypad, garage door remotes and helped go above and beyond the job by inspecting the entire garage door system. I highly recommend CR Door Co. and would absolutely use them again. read more

Robert was awesome he arrived as stated installed the door real fast and we coundln't be more happy. I would highly recommend CR Door Co..

Great experience from start to finish. Robert was immediately responsive to a quote request through Yelp, on a Sunday afternoon no less. Accurate diagnosis immediately (as opposed to "we need $50 to come take a look first" or "you should really replace the whole thing"). Robert gave us a reasonable quote right off, was very responsive on scheduling and follow through, showed up as expected and got the darn thing working like new. What else could I ask for? read more

Robert was great! Very quick and thorough, and you get a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend him to anyone with garage door issues. Nice guy, very easy to work with, and fantastic results! read more

I've been doing remodeling in the whole house, I mean literally, moving walls - complete inside out, plus front and back yard. I must say I've seen all kind of contractors during my remodeling, but only decided to write a review for CR Door. Cr Door Co., is a rare case these days of GREAT American service as it used to be. Nowadays, you either get good price from someone who does not speak English and no good customer service, or you get good customer service from the well established company, which comes at a premium price. Well, Cr. Doors provides both - great prices with an excellent customer service. Very professional installation and very good door. I am super happy I found this company. I will recommend this company to any of my friends any time any day. read more

I have a very old garage door that is getting replaced when a remodel is done. I was hoping that it would last that long, but a spring busted over the weekend. I called Rob after seeing his reviews, and he was out at our house the next day. He replaced the spring in less than an hour at a very reasonable price. He was very professional and friendly as well. I would definitely recommend him and not hesitate to call him again in the future if needed. read more

I was leaving the garage, when one of the garage door cables broke, door jammed tilted, and it took me and a friend all evening to just close it by hand. I went to Lowe's next morning, watched YouTube video on how to replace the cable, and... decided to call a professional. Number 17 on Yelp list was CR Door Co.- a local guy with a few, but good reviews. I called him at lunch, he was busy working on Mission, but said will stop by to look at our door after 6PM. Robert came after 7PM, looked at the door and gave me a firm price. He changed both cables, realigned the rails, moved one of the brackets to solid wood, lubricated all moving parts, adjusted the door travel to close better, and was done before 9PM. I am very impressed by Robert's quick response, availability, efficient and professional work, and plan to use his service in the future. Highly recommend. read more

This is a local business, and the owner does the work himself! Robert came out to give me an estimate, and talked with me about what I needed. He tried to give me the options and recommended what he felt was best. In the end I did replace the entire door, and am very happy. Professional and friendly service. Showed up when he said he would, did the work, and all at a reasonable price. Definitely would recommend to anyone with garage door needs. read more

Robert was so awesome! Not only a super nice guy, who let our little boys watch him while he worked, but he was on-time, easy to schedule and obviously knows garage doors better than most I've ever come across. Great to help a local business to add in! read more

THE VERY BEST GARAGE DOOR ENTITIY EVER---After Westcoast Overhead told me that I needed to replace both garage doors for my two-car garage, CR Door Company came--first on time, and fixed my garage doors. The are working better than they have in several years. Upon arriving he told me how long it would take and he completed the work in the time he had alloted. He is very competent, professional and personable. And it was a Sunday morning! read more

My garage door stopped working in the late morning. I contacted CR Door Co via Yelp over lunch, asking them to provide a quote. Robert called me within 10 minutes of sending the message and he was able to diagnose the source of the problem over the phone. He dropped by later that afternoon and my door was working again by 6pm that evening. Great service! read more

Asked for a quote 1 month ago. He came to my place and stated he already have all the informations written down and email me the quote within next 2 weeks. Never got a reply through email. Messaged him after 2 weeks of wait time on Yelp inbox and didn't get any reply. Not a quality service. read more

Robert was awesome. He installed my electric garage opener and was very flexible in terms of time and the actual install. His pricing was perfect and he did the install very quickly. The garage works great. I would highly recommend his work. read more

I called Robert because of his great Yelp reviews and he wasn't too far from where I live. Anyways, Robert came by and gave me a quote to replace both garage door openers, and also let me know what options there were. I chose to add an internet gateway and an external keypad. He explained everything to me, and gave me a quite decent price. His work was awesome, and he left my place very clean. He mentioned that he can do other work than just garage door stuff, so I might actually look him up again on my next honey-do project. Anyways, Robert did what he said he would do, for the price he quoted. I am now happily parking my cars in the garage again. Thanks Robert! read more

Our automatic garage door spring snapped one morning. I was able to get a quick call back and schedule Robert with CR Door within a couple hours. It was done fast and professionally. Our heavy garage door of at least 50 years old was starting to malfunction, so we knew we needed a replacement. We found CR Door Co on Yelp, and it was a treasure. We received an estimate within two days, the work was done witih fine craftsmanship and the old door was hauled as part of the dea.. Robert was very knowledgable, patiently educated us about the different options, was able to use the existing motor which cut down on the price. The price was very reasonable.
