I needed a place to get rid of extra boxes and cardboard from our move and was glad I found this place. I opted to not get paid because I didn't think it would be amount to much anyways. I drove to the back (kind of a tight space with all their trucks) opened the trunk, and two gentlemen unloaded the car. I will use this recycling center again! read more

For the past month our trash is being picked up on a later day than our regular Thursday. For this last Thursday pickup day we called several times with the company assuring us our trash will be picked up later that same day. Now it's Monday and all of our three bins remain full. There are now trash bags sitting outside some of the neighbors bins. This encourages a health hazard as while as for opportunists to steal our information. It's also raining now filling bins with open lids. Our experiences are empty promises, increased service fees, and an eye sore of our neighborhood. Very poor public relations with us customers. No courtesy on their part. At least some form of customer communication is needed to avoid our phone calls. We do our part in separating our trash for CR&R. Why can't do there part! read more

As someone who worked customer service here for many years, management and dispatchers do not care how long you have been on hold or how many times your trash was missed. The managers sit in their office all day while call center reps are forced to work overtime to try and get calls down. This business has a very hard time with employee retention as many quit weeks after being hired. Very poor management in place. read more

I am just wandering why every recycling place I have gone to does not let you see the weight , it's hidden out of view now and Who knows if you are getting your money. I took 6 bags of plastic & 5 bags of smashed cans and only received $ 10. Kind of crowded at time, but trustworthy place and received high amount of cash compared to other nearby recycling center.

I am not a trashy girl so I was a little scared hauling something to the trash dump alone. The place is kind of hidden the sign is big on the street but my GPS was confused and I passed it. Then when I pulled up in line it was long..... and I was renting a truck by the hour. However the line went fast, mattresses are free to drop off so even better for me. I think the regular price was $65 and $85 for 1 ton. Inside was confusing I made a wrong turn and probably made a ton of employees and other drivers in cars wonder " what is the chick doing, she can't drive that way, or they laughed because I don't speak Spanish but that seemed to be the only language of the employees inside CC&R recycling" that is kind of frustrating especially when such big machines are whizzing around and you are not sure why they told pointed then another guy who looked like he should help just leaves when you pull up. That is really my only gripe for safety reasons everyone inside directing cars should speak English fluently not point or give you the shoulder shrug indicating they have no clue to your question " how do I get out of here?" If they understood they could point but instead I'm pointing and they look at me look at where I'm pointing and reply " ya". Anyways next time I think I'll let them pick it up from my curb. read more

This place is great. I can't believe I ever fed bags of plastic bottles in bottle by bottle by hand. Plus I had a slip stolen from machine by some junkie at Albertaons recycle location. You won't have that happen here. The employees are really friendly and helpful. Also I have to say that the customers are super nice as well. Now I don't let the cans and bottles build up for months, I just go when I have one bag full. Can't beat this place! read more

I show up at 3:50pm and the sign says they close at 4:00. Guy tells me, sorry were closed. I told him there are 10 more minutes but he was having none of it. As I walk back to my car someone drives in, walks up and he helps him. I guess the non Spanish speaking clientele don't have the in for closing time service. I also drive by this place each morning on my way to work. Trucks pulling out of the driveway just don't care. Today a truck pulls out of the drive and I had to come to an abrupt full stop and back up 20 feet in the middle of the street to give the knucklehead room to cut across. They are inconsiderate and think they own the road. Last time I go to place. read more

This is my "normal" recycling center. The times I've been here, it's pretty much the same. Dirty, smelly, loud, and sticky, what can you expect for a recycle center? It can be super busy... but if you come during the weekends and early as possible, it's more easy going. The reason I give it a 3, because of parking. Parking is cramped, especially during the busy times. The workers are are busy, not very talkative. I suppose I wouldn't want to talk either because of the noise from the machinery, dust, and dirt. The cashier was pretty nice and that's because he's in an AC building with no noise. They pay better than the grocery stores. read more

I go to this recycling center every so often and it's ok. You get a decent price for your recyclables. The carts are really old, dirty, sticky and some of the wheels aren't working on them.I don't like that you have to take the plastic caps off the water bottles because they don't take them. Aren't they recyclable???!!! I guess it's more money they have to pay you!!!! I just went went there because they're suppose to be open until 6:00pm today and I arrived at 5:50pm and they already had all the gates shut but the trucks were moving in the back part of the building. If they're going to close whenever they feel like it, then don't post your hours!!!!!!! Instead, just put a question mark or write whenever you feel like it!!! Don't go here in the afternoon, they may leave after lunch if they feel like it! UPDATE- I went today and the hours are Monday-Friday 8-4 and Saturday 8-1 and Sunday Closed. You can also leave the caps in the water bottles now and they remodeled a little bit. I now give them 3 stars. read more

I've been coming to CR&R to turn in my aluminum cans and plastic bottles for decades now. It's best to go on a weekday before 12p.m., otherwise parking can get a bit crowded. I went the other day and was done in a matter of minutes. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are some crazy drivers around that area that are just plain stupid or born that way, lol. If you have coupons, this place will honor them and you'll get more cash. BTW, bring some hand wipes or sanitizer, you'll need it. Alright, I'm off this. read more

CR&R has got to be the most disorganized company I've ever had the displeasure of working with. My wife and I manage a large senior mobile home park in Lake Forest, CA. Our recycle is to be emptied twice a week (Monday/Wednesday) and this week, like so many others, was not taken care. We called the company and they assured us that they would be right out. Yep, never showed up. I called again today and they assured us it would be taken care of today. Again, no one is showing up. They keep telling us that they don't have any available drivers. Well, guess what. We don't have any available check to pay you either. This monopoly bullshit is just that. If you live in their area you can only have them pick up your recycle. We have the July 4th weekend coming up (7/4/2022) and if they don't come this week (6/30/2022) they will have a helluva a mess to clean up after the 4th. Yesterday I witnessed a truck speeding down costa mesa st 200 block and right past a yellow plastic caution figure to caution to slow down well he sped up when he passed it. Myself and another person stood right there and could not believe it. Not very long ago in Newport heights a truck driver killed and crushed a small child. Our neighborhood website have noted seeing drivers texting while driving and speeding on residential streets. Those trucks are hard to stop with their tonnage and to be speeding even worse. when calling the company they make excuses for the drivers. I filed a complaint so lets see what happens. read more

I think this place is okay, but my family and I tend to go here quite a bit. I really should find a nexcycle place because it is small and you do not have to deal with all of the cars. I am sure the prices are the same as well and you deal with less people too. I know the service can be good or bad depending on the moods of the people. But yeah it is pretty dirty and the bathrooms really really are bad and well there is no soap at all so you leave wanting to go to Target on Katella to wash your hands. Be care too, the parking is pretty bad and cramped. You got to be careful as well as the drivers can be moody and b*tchy. read more

C R & R are monsters. During my chemo infusion treatments i got threatening notices on my trash bins. Then when i got someone to come over and help me they wouldn't send someone on a Friday to pick up 4 wks worth of trash because they said it had become a bad habit. I have been doing business with CR&R for over eleven years, they have normally done the service that I am paying for, however of late they have dropped the ball. At least once a month they have missed either picking up my trash, recycle, or green bin, I understand that from time to time these things can happen, and when I call and explain the problem, they send a truck out the next day, last week they missed the green bin pick up for the entire street. I called and explained the situation, and they indicated they would send a truck out that day, no pick up, I called again on Saturday, explained again, and was told pick up was scheduled for that day, no pick up, I called again on Monday, once again indicated pick up was scheduled, no pick up, on Tuesday I was told that the problem was with the scheduling department, so I asked to speak to the manager, and was told they would have that person call me back, no call, what annoys me the most about this situation, is that CR&R has a monopoly on this service in Orange County, which is not a consumer friendly situation. Maybe its time for the county to end this monopoly. read more

My wife went to an interview with Monica,Sandra,and manager Alisa or something like that.My wife came back crying. She said Alisa would look at her in disgust as if she was too overweight. Complained that her nails were long (1/2"nails)without asking if my wife is willing to cut her nails if asked.With constant looks on the face of absolute disgust that made her so uncomfortable. And has the nerve to say,the rest of September they have interviews and also for the rest of next month(Oct) still with an ugly look of disgust on her.What type of person says that? I know people can get cancer working in the recycling center and this is well known.But my goodness,if Cliff and David know there is a huge cancer in their office,they'd be very hurt.I understand the other girls may keep quiet or even lie about the interview.But,if they'd have recordings to show the interview or my wife getting in the car.That manager Alisa is a bad form of character cancer and its good she showed it in the beginning. So discriminatory of Alisa part.EEOC & DFEH will be hearing from us.No interview should start before even starting with the manager looking like shes smelling a piece of crap on her upper lip. So apparently CR&R offers services to it's existing customers but one of the services it doesn't offer is to cover minor vehicle repairs caused by one of it's trucks on the freeways. I was driving behind one of their recycle trucks about 2 weeks ago on the freeway & a piece of debris from the truck struck my vehicle & put a dime sized crack in my windshield. Like most people would I called the company & attempted to file a claim for the repair. I was told an investigation was being initiated, a review of the footage from the rear of the truck was being done, photos of my vehicle were taken by one of the employees & after 2 weeks of playing phone tag with this representative I was told that "road damage by debris is not covered by their company". REALLY?? So it took this company 2 weeks of "investigation" to tell me what they could have told me FROM MY VERY FIRST PHONE CALL TO THEM??! Absolutely ridiculous. I realize this review may not have to do with their "service" to it's customers but it's pretty absurd that this is how they handle something as simple as a minor windshield repair (not replacement mind you) when it's brought to their attention. Let me start off by saying it's a "Shame when a person actually try's to better the community only to be shunned by the conglomerate of our local waste or disposal company saying to just throw the trash on the ground of our local retail business.
