Over a year ago I called for a pickup of heavy items. I was told it would be no charge, which is great because I'm a senior citizen on a fixed income. A few days - weeks, later I received a bill for $100. I sent back the invoice with a written message on it asking why I was being charged when I was told I would not be. No response. It took me a few months but I could eventually pay it in 2 payments. I just opened a mailing from them thinking it was promotional (been tossing them for the last year). It's an invoice stating: Prior Balance $483.24 / Late Fee $6.38 / 8/1 90G Trash/Recy/Organics #P/U 1 $117.69 / RESI SVC Increase $3.48. What the heck? Ordered a large dumpster for our property out in Aguanga. The guy who picked up our dumpster weekly always seemed to use a different path when emptying the dumpster. Each new route led to more of our vegetation being run over. The Highland Fire ravaged the area around our property and our dumpster burned to the ground, only a metal bar and the wheels remained. I called CR&R to request another dumpster and he rep created a work order and I was told it would be delivered that Friday. It was not delivered. I called back on Monday and was told the work order was entered incorrectly and that the next available or delivery was at the end of December, the 28th. I requested to pause the service. We had no bin so why pay for the service? I ended up being billed for the month of November...and the month of December. I called more than 5 times to no avail. Each representative would tell me they would leave a message with "Maria" as she handled the issue originally. Maria clearly wasn't handling my issue. Passing the buck is the name of their game and based on other reviews that is clear. Too bad they have a monopoly on the market for the waste services out in that area. Ultimately I called to discontinue the service. We will take our trash to the dump and save some money and avoid the headache. Thanks for nothing. read more

Horrible customer service. Twice they have knocked down my trash can during pick up. Driver did not pick up the tipped can and drove off. Repeated daily calls for re-pickup with unkept promises. They make excuses and never take responsibility. If your trash is missed or a failed pick up they will not return, even if they tell you they will. ZERO stars... CR&R `S website mission states the following: "From the moment you sign up for service to the moment that service is delivered, we strive to offer all of our customers a hassle-free experience." Did a circus clown write this??? **What it should read is: "If you want subpar sustainable waste service, coupled with incompetent customer and supervisory/management support, feel free to pay for our services" CR&R continues to forget to pick -up one of three trash bins, on a regular basis. I`m beginning to feel discriminated against. I`ve placed several calls to prior incidents about the same issue and yet no calls back from supervisors/managers and no trash pick-ups to correct the issues. This most recent incident took place on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, where my recycle bin was not collected. I have some great RING camera recording to support the trash truck drivers neglecting to collect the appropriate waste/recycle bin. Either the truck driver is color blind and can't identify which waste bin he/she should be collecting, or he/she is contaminating his pickup with the wrong trash (food waste or green waste). Consistently disappointed with CR&R Inc. services but when you receive poor customer service support, false promises, cricket sounds from management, and an incompetent work force, you get poor work production. Makes sense! By the way, my recycle trash bin is still curbside awaiting pick-up..., (Cricket sounds) I`d ask for a supervisor or manager to respond to my inquiry/complaint in support of some compensation or correction to this ongoing issue, but at this point I`m sure it`s a waste of my time. read more

However, I inquired about a dumpster and they never call in response to my inquiry (I requested online). When I called them, I got three different answers. I have spoken with one helpful person, the others act as I am a telemarketer and my call interrupted their sleep. CR&R Trash drive-by. Over the last several months CR&R misses my trash pickup at least once a month. When I call, I get busy circuits or no answer. When I get through, I'm on hold indefinitely (hung up today after 47 minutes on tortuous music). Several weeks ago when I actually stayed on long enough to get a live person, they called me a "liar" without using that word, said that I had not put my bins out before they drove by. I had put them out the night before. They said they wouldn't come back. Our community is stuck with this company due to agreements with the city. They are so unresponsive to any requests from our property managers as well as residents and do not pick up on scheduled days correctly and when they are told a pick up was not made they then say they did even with a camera showing that they did not. Missed my street on pick up day, Friday. Can't call on Sat called Monday was told we would be picked up by 6pm. Called at 5, was told by the same person that I talked to earlier, that they only have trucks in our neighborhood on Thursday and Friday. Our trash wouldn't be picked up til Thursday. Tuesday morning at 6:45 a truck picked up trash. Of course not wanting my cans on the street all week I put them back into my yard. Of course the driver went right by my house without stopping or trying to check if he could get to my cans. CR&Rs different divisions obviously don't have any communication with one another.
