I immediately called the gas company and they came and shut off the gas line. It's the dead of the winter and now I have no heat. I didn't know where to begin. I checked the internet but nothing jumped out at me. I went on yelp and began reading reviews and I ran across Lawrence heating & air. I called spoke to a woman who was very pleasant and told me a tech could come out to assess the boiler to see if it was still usable. Joe came and he looked at it and said it it's a hazard. With all the rust and corrosion and not to mention whatever was on fire. He said it needed replacing. He talked to me about the options and stated I would get an email from the owner of my options. 30 mins later the email was there and everything was included. All the info I needed to know about the unit, specs, warranty, parts/tubing for replacement, price. It was a proposal. I reached out to Lawrence with my questions and he answered right away. I also stated my elderly dad lives with me and elderly need service as soon as possible. That was no problem. He sent me payment options as well. Once I accepted the proposal and date was locked in and they techs came the next day on time. Randy showed up first, then Joe & Chaly. They immediately put down floor draping and loaded all of the supplies , pipes , boiler, etc. They opened all the radiators starting at the top. All of them were pleasant and very Knowledgeable about their job. Any questions I asked Randy explained. They cleaned up behind themselves and made sure everything was put back in place. An A/C specialist ("FRED") from Superior Comfort Heating & Cooling LLC phoned me on Weds. afternoon April 24th 2024, and he was here before 8am the very next morning (Thurs) to inspect my split-type central A/C system. He quickly determined that the outdoor Condenser Unit and the indoor 'Coil' needed replacement. FRED then contacted my property manager. He returned before 8am the following morning (Friday April 26th) with several large boxes of new A/C equipment (Carrier brand), which he temporarily stored in the garage here. On Saturday morning (April 27th), FRED returned before 8am again, this time with a helper he called his "duct man". They wasted no time in getting to work. I was impressed and amazed by the speed and efficiency with which they worked together. Two hard-working, knowledgeable, experienced individuals working together seamlessly. They completed their work within hours, MUCH more quickly than I expected. They left absolutely no mess behind them. It went up to 90F a couple days later, and I was glad to feel that my central A/C system was now working like new again. Big difference.
