Unethical/unprofessional/unrealistic…read more.. I have been involved with the performing arts and entertainment industry for almost 25 years; I have never met a production company like this before. My niece was pulled from her role because she missed one rehearsal. She had been rehearsing for months and because of a matter that took priority over an extracurricular activity, she had to miss a rehearsal. I spoke with the producer, Michele Noufer, who basically said that their productions have to take priority over the student staying on track in school. They claimed that it was a safety issue to miss one tech week rehearsal. I have worked on productions during tech week and watched many tech week rehearsals of other actors. If someone missed one rehearsal during this week, they would have another actor read their lines so the rehearsal could continue smoothly and then on the following day, they would inform the actor on any changes that were made with blocking, lines, etc. during the beginning part of the following day's tech week rehearsal or during the prep period before a performance in front of an audience: the team huddle. They were never dropped from their role in the show. Other actors that I have spoken to have never heard of anything like this before either. It was even more unsettling to find out that when rehearsals began for the production, the children were able to bring their homework to rehearsals so they could study during downtime but after a point, they stopped allowing children to work on their homework during rehearsals. When professional child actors are not being used on a set, they are working with their set tutors so they can continue their education in between working. Even when I participated in community theater productions as a child, our director encouraged us to bring our homework to study during downtime; parent volunteers would help the children study when they weren't on stage. A production company that prohibits working on homework during downtime seems unethical. I understand that being in a production is a commitment but keeping students from studying during extended downtime could be used to help prevent them from falling behind in their classes. Every production that I have been a part of encourages the cast (children/adults) and crew to bring books, study materials or anything else to work on while they are not on the set; downtime can be taken advantage of to maintain productivity levels in other areas. Banning studying during downtime is not realistic or conducive to students balancing their school work with their extracurricular activities. When actors are busy with being involved in a production, being able to take any moment of downtime whether at home or at rehearsals to stay caught up on other commitments/priorities is critical to prevent falling behind. I would not recommend this production company to anyone.

Beyond the outstanding academics, my daughter has thrived socially and emotionally under the guidance of amazing, caring teachers and school staff who always go the extra mile. The school community (teachers, administrators, and families) pour so much time and resources into making the school an amazing place to be, through fun events, educational field trips, and engaging curriculum. I was so nervous when we first started because we had been at the same daycare downtown since my daughter was 4 months old and to have to start at a brand new school where we knew nobody felt daunting. I was so relieved and surprised to find that by the end of her kindergarten year, my daughter had friends and I had found a great group of parents who I felt at home with. Del Dayo got a new principal in 2025 and the transformation has been amazing. The teaching staff are thriving, she makes it her goal at the start of every school year to know every student by name and they are always excited to see her, and the lines of communication with parents are always open. You can tell she really loves the job and the school and that makes a world of difference. Students can test for the Rapid Learner program at the end of 1st grade and honestly, we didn't even bother testing for it because we love the school so much and wouldn't want to leave.

We are also incredibly fortunate to have an involved PTO that works closely with the school to provide additional opportunities and support where it is needed. There is a real partnership between the school and families that makes Del Dayo special. More than anything, Del Dayo feels like a community. Our kids have grown up here, and we have made friendships and memories that will stay with us long after elementary school. I did my first AI workshop in 2013, not based on a recommendation from family/friends, but…read moreliterally by accidentally finding their Yelp page and reading some of the amazing reviews. (I might be the only person to go that path, most people at least try a Wednesday night class). I was going through a divorce, which was really more a symptom of the issues in my life - I just had a lot of negative stories about myself, felt pretty worthless a lot of the time, and had some patterns that weren't serving me. The first workshop, and pretty much all of them since then, blew open the doors of perception for me. TBH I hadn't ever seen a therapist, and although I felt depressed a lot of the time, there was such a stigma for me around it and around taking meds. And I felt like if the problem was within me, then the solution was too. And AI really provided the nurturing and safe space for me to confront the things I was too afraid or ashamed to see about myself. It was very liberating to me to start understanding how my childhood conditioning caused me to believe certain things, and the defense mechanisms the mind uses as protection, but really weren't serving me. It's probably not a substitute for therapy, but I feel like the growth I had in a weekend workshop was what I would have gotten out of a year or more of therapy. I've heard multiple people say that after workshops, but as they say your mileage will vary. Personally I was ready to take a deeper dive on myself, and AI's methods and tools really helped. I did the spiritual retreat on Mt Shasta that year, then did classes and workshops sporadically when I felt called to. And I did the mountain retreat again in 2024, and dropped into the most beautiful and inspiring experience of my life. Full disclosure I'm now on the Team, which is the core group that commits to a year of service to bring this type of growth and awareness to others. And I'm posting because I want to pay it forward and be a beacon for folks who might be where I was (and sometimes still am!) On the contrary, they try to demean you into quitting the class and profession all together. The military style instructor should find a new career or retire. It is clear he isn't happy and takes it out on everyone in the class. He has a big time power trip going on when he should be educating his students. Then when you do quit in order to find a real class that can teach you properly in a reasonable environment, they immediately send you to collections for the payment for the rest of the class without first even letting you know that you owe anything. Please save yourself a lot of misery and find somewhere else to take your EMS, EMT or other medical training. Project Heartbeat is a disgrace to the profession.

I was warned about how a lot of people struggled finding the right building so I looked into it…read morebefore I went and arrived 30 mins early just in case. There was plenty of parking. It was fairly simple. Yes, it's the building on the right as you face the water fountain. It literally says Building 1 on it, cant miss it. Once you go in, there's the elevator and you take it up to the 2nd floor. Walk down the hall and you'll reach room 215. The restrooms are somewhere in-between the elevator and the room. I was actually early to my appointment but they let me start so I didn't have to wait. I checked in at front desk and was instructed to remove my rings, bracelet, watch, and hairclip. I had to turn off all my devices and put everything into a locker. The only thing you need out is your ID. They also scan your palm and take a photo of you. Then they ask you to pat yourself down and show nothing is in your pockets. They offered earplugs and a laminated scratch paper and marker to write on. Each test station had noise canceling headphones as well. Everything is sanitized. The testing room had about 15 or so stations. The temperature in here was good, not hot, not cold. I chose to use the earplugs and they worked well with minimizing sound distractions. What was distracting though, was the vibrations of the floor whenever people walked across!! Once I finished the exam, the result was printed on paper and handed to me at the front desk.
