When I asked the school for help, they sent me an outdated list of "job leads" in which half of the sites did not work, and most of the others weren't hiring. When I tried to give input about this, and ask for any tips about how to get employed, I was ignored. This place seems more interested in your money rather than interested in helping students in their journey to a real job.

** 0-Star Review** I…read morewould not recommend Phlebotomy USA based on my experience with the program. One of my biggest concerns is the externship process. Students can potentially be waiting **six months or longer in California** for an externship if they do not find their own placement. I feel this should be made much clearer to students before they enroll, because completing the classroom portion does not necessarily mean you will quickly move on to your externship. The classroom portion also felt heavily focused on going through the textbook and practicing blood draws on classmates. I personally found the idea of students drawing blood from eachother to be unsafe and unnecessary, especially when proper training should emphasize safe, professional venipuncture practices. I would strongly encourage prospective students to understand all of these requirements and potential delays before paying for the program.

Ugh, we can't say enough great things about Kristin! I had…read morea consultation meet up with her in my first trimester and pretty much immediately stopped looking into any other doulas. Kristin has such a grounding and inviting vibe and energy that felt comforting and supportive right from the start. You know how some providers/professionals will say they're supportive of your choices but you can tell they are actually judging you? Kristin is the complete opposite! She was down for and excited about any decision that I felt was right for me, my baby, and our birth - which didn't just communicate support but also made me feel empowered and centered in my own choices. My fiancé was pretty skeptical about hiring a doula - his family and friends had all had kids and no one had "needed" a doula - but he ended up SO thankful and grateful that Kristin was by our side. He can't stop singing her praises to anyone who will listen! Kristin was/is so knowledgeable and informative. Anytime there was a turn in the road, we immediately looked to her. She would provide some small education and then give her perspective, ultimately reassuring us that we were in control of what decision we ended up making and what felt most right for us and our birth. She stayed by our side the whole time - I truly don't know what we would have done without her! She took some photos, kept track of timelines, and helped make sure baby latched for the first time. Even postpartum she has been such a life saver. We're able to text her our freak out questions and she responds with the same attentiveness and care as she did before and during birth. She also did my placenta encapsulation and supports us with our lactation questions and needs. Can't recommend her enough

Kristin was truly one of the best investments and contributors to my pregnancy and labor…read moreexperience. From the very beginning, she supported both me and my husband by teaching us birth basics and coping techniques that made us feel prepared and confident. When labor started, Kristin was there every step of the way, staying up through the night texting and calling to calm my nerves and guide me through each stage. She continued that support at the hospital, being by my side from 6am to 10pm until baby was here and healthy. Although my original plan was to have an unmedicated birth, complications arose, and Kristin supported every decision I made without judgment. She advocated for me with the medical team and made me feel safe, heard, and deeply cared for as a first-time mom. I truly can't imagine going through this experience without her, and I would recommend her to anyone looking for genuine, compassionate, and knowledgeable support.
