I signed my husband and myself up for the CPR and First Aid class because we're first time parents and we wanted to make sure we're prepared and have the knowledge to help our child should she need it. When I called, I wanted to make sure that, in addition to the instructional videos we have to watch, we would also get hands-on practice with not only an adult practice dummy but, more importantly for us, an infant practice dummy. Natalie assured me that both would be included in the hands-on practice. When I went to the class, the instructor was supposed to have been an Allen Villarreal. However, it was a woman that never gave us her name. I only saw an adult dummy and when I asked about the infant dummy, she told me it was "an adult only class." I was very disappointed and called the corporate office to let them know what happened. They told me they had no idea who the woman was, and that it should have been Allen that day. They assured me that not only would my husband's class the following week be up to standard, but that if I went back for a make-up class, it would be what we paid for. My husband's class went very well with instructor Moe. Moe was very informative, the adult and infant dummies were included, and Moe made sure everyone got hands-on. I went to my follow-up class today and Allen was present this time, but he immediately had a bad attitude when he opened the door for us. He then told the entire class, "I can't find the online test, so now I have to give out this written test because some lady named Karen came in and blew everything up and ruined it for everybody." Again, I did not see an infant dummy so I asked if we would get some hands-on practice with one and he said it was "an adult only class". At this point I told Allen that I was the woman named Karen he was referring to and that I was assured there would be hands-on infant practice this time. He then backpedaled and said, "No no, it was another Karen from another class, not you. Let me make a call and I can have the infant dummies brought in." But at this point it was already the second bad experience, and Allen's attitude and unprofessionalism were unbelievable, so I walked out. My husband and I got a refund at least, but I would have preferred to get the correct training. read more
