Had a wonderful first time experience at this facility. -First things first scheduling for the class is quick and easy. You can call the number provided or go to their website and sign up through email. - Cost for the refresher class which I did was $50. Which is much cheaper then other places. Covid guidelines are in place mask required and gloves are provided. - Instructor, Joyce is very friendly and knowledgeable about what information and skills that need to be known. She makes you feel welcomed and comfortable, you can always ask questions and feel comfortable doing so. - Classes are small which is nice to allow one on one instructing. You really feel like you've learned something when you walk out. -I did the 9am to 11 time slot, its very prompt and timely. My new job requires I become CPR certified. Fine. I'll comply, but I won't be happy about... I show up to the class and was instantly welcomed by Joyce (the instructor) who has the most upbeat and professional demeanor. She greeted me, oriented me to the space and offered me some light refreshments. Ok, now my mood is changing and I'm a little less grouchy about taking a mandated class. A gracious host and snacks will will quickly turn my mood around, ha. Alright, let's talk class content and instructional blocks. The bulk of the class will come from a DVD and Joyce. The video is great. It seems the American heart association has delivered up to date and interesting content for your review. You won't be watching some vhs from the 80s with outdated procedures. Joyce supplements the video with great narratives and practical hands on experiences. She articulates well and is very easy to follow. I imagine that she is able to reach all of her students regardless of intellectual, academic or professional backgrounds. She's enthused about her work and it shows. Joyce was accountable for our time during the class, followed her agenda and was able to wrap up the course at the designated time. I've been coming here for the past 6 years everytime my certification is due. Joyce does a great job of combining the dvd with the skills training. She uses the time effectively and while she is happy to answer questions, she keeps the class on track. She is also great about trying to save you money by making sure you are taking the correct class. Her website gives a list of classes and times for the month. After taking a CPR class twice here over the years I can honestly recommend it. They offer the American Heart Association classes that are required for health care professionals, but they also offer courses for to-be parents, lifeguards, etc. The lady who runs the class cuts to the chase and doesn't ramble on. She tries to point out what is important and makes everyone feel welcome. The HCP course is $55 and they only take cash. It is also better to call ahead and make sure that you get on a class list prior to the day you want. I saw people get turned away due to a full class. They have a new method where you do the course online and then book an appointment to come in for skills check off. I cannot comment on that because I am an advocate of hands on retraining every few years to brush up on skills. Don't worry about arriving early because she usually arrives to unlock the classroom right before 8:30AM. Also, it can run a little bit over 12:30 so don't try to book anything directly after the class. read more

At this location I now did twice my practice and skill check for my CPR First Aid and AED with the American Heart Association. I do the rest online the day before. This time there where two more people. A female that just had CPR for adults, a guy that wanted CPR for adults and children but changed his mind in between and I had it for adults, children and infants and the whole thing. So after the skill check for adult CPR the others left. I am not sure why you wouldn't want to do the infant one as you never know when you come along a child or infant in need. The instructor is very knowable and quite nice. I don't remember but I think I was done after an hour with the whole thing. Plus of course the online section I did the day before. read more
