Excellent coffee and the best prices!!!! Thank you to our Veterans that sacrifice so much!

I've been here a couple of times so far, and the drinks are quite good. The Iced Chai Lattes are a good size for the price and I've had both Iced Green and Black teas, which are fantastic and not too sweet (I enjoy actually being able to taste the tea). The only reason I deduct stars is the service, which is wildly inconsistent. The first two times I came here (with a friend to study) the staff was friendly enough. However, the last two times I've been treated brusquely... I chalked it up to a bad day on Sunday , October 4th. However, on my most recent trip I noticed pricing inconsistencies - on their menu, a Danish is noted to be $2 (plus tax) but when it was rung up on their POS I was charged $2.25 (plus tax), coming to a total of $2.44. When I mentioned this to the barista, all I was told was she was going off the price on the POS and that she didn't read the menu! When I decided to get a muffin instead (which was actually priced correctly), the other barista (possibly the Manager on Duty) gave a dramatic sigh and told her to simply charge me the pastry and she would pay the difference (which was fifteen cents). I'm not terribly appreciative of being treated as a hassle, or worse that I'm trying to hustle them simply because I want a product according to the price that is displayed. So, until they get their staff and menu on the same page, I'll have to give Cpl. Ray's a tentative Only-If-Starbucks-Is-Busy rating. read more

I've been in the Odessa shop multiple times over the past month. The staffs always been kind and helpful. But the AC has been OFF FOR SEVERAL WEEKS. When I've asked if the air could be turned down they apologize and inform me that they can't at this time. Once again, been going on for weeks. I could not imagine working a full 8 hour shift in those conditions, especially since they could be avoid. Whether it's the company owner or the building owner, it should be fixed immediately. read more

I Love LOVE this place delicious coffee always on point. Quality coffee no Starbucks wait or prices. However they have become really busy lately maybe hire an extra person for the weekend rush. They use to have time to be more friendly, greet and ask how everything was. They didn't seem to have time to that. The coffee was still awesome and that's why I go so I would go back. Myself and my coworkers orders coffee from CPL Rays, the staff at the time I went was rude to me. I had ordered 2 frozen drinks and 1 iced drink with specific instruction on the drinks that was told to staff due to food allergies. I received all three of the drinks frozen, made incorrectly, and no labeling either so myself and my coworkers could not tell the difference between which has what in them to not cause allergic reactions out of any of us. read more

You will love everything about Cpl. Ray's Coffee - the coffees, the food products, the service, the relaxing setting and atmosphere, and most importantly the story of Corporal Ray. Corporal Ray is a 22 year old Army veteran killed in action in Afghanistan in 2007. This location is the second to the original location in Andrews, Texas. I love support local establishments versus chains. Especially when they bring the local flavor and story. As a veteran this one is even more powerful to me. Also, I appreciate it took one visit for them to get my order down as I stepped in the door. It is nice to be appreciated and even more to be remembered. read more

Best coffee shop hands down in Midland or Odessa. The atmosphere in the morning with this great crew is fabulous. They have a great assortment of sugar free syrups for mochas and Fraps. The only place in Odessa to get a REAL cup of coffee. Their normal airpot stuff is good, but the real treasures hide under the coffee bar. Y'all, they have Chemex! And French presses too. There are small batch roasted beans you can request to make your own fresh incredible cup of coffee. Now they just need to keep some yrga chaffe in stock. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would! This place made me feel so unwelcomed. I wish I could have gotten her name but the girl who took our order was so rude & basically brushed us off & was trying to hurry up and take our order even though there was no line. If she's not happy with her job she can easily just quit. I will never be coming back. I will be telling friends & family to not come here. read more

The drinks are mostly milk and not near enough espresso and they are pretty expensive. The workers have been rude/unfriendly almost everytime I have been. I stop while driving through but everytime I do I tell myself I'm not going to next time bc of service and overpriced, diluted drinks. Hopefully this will reach someone that will care to change some things bc I would like a good locally owned coffee shop while on the road. read more

This coffee shop is local within the area and does things with and for the community . I really appreciate that plus, it's a small business! So supporting small businesses help the economy in your area . I really like that when I asked for cocoa on top of my capacitor , although they had never heard of it, they opened some of their cocoa mix and sprinkled it on for me . This is a new business so the rating could improve. The coffee was very good, as were the egg and sausage croissants. The main issue with food was the time needed to prepare. Service was definitely an issue. Young girls took orders and ran the register. They were apt to walk off in the middle of a transaction not remembering that change was due. We will continue our patronage and have hopes these matters are resolved with proper training. read more

Decided to stop by and try something different. They had many different options of drinks so when they called out mine i wasn't too sure if it was my drink because it was called out as a different name. Sadly when i asked if it was, the barista snapped at me and answered in a rude manner. Would like to try it again but hopefully the workers are nicer next time as the coffee was pretty good. read more

Overall, a really good place to sit, relax, and chat or do some work. Really friendly staff and drinks are pretty good. Maybe the best part is the fast and free wifi; I'm able to get my work done without Internet cutting in and out like at most other shops. I'll be going back! read more

I love this place. The coffee and tea drink options are plentiful and the quality of their menu options are great. Very cool ambience and it's reasonably priced. I wish that this place was a little more centrally located as it's in a plaza that forces you to go on a little detour if commuting between Midland and Odessa. Really nice service and I really dig the atmosphere and look of the place. Very much a sit down and chill kinda place, but you can also take coffee to go if you choose and it is pretty quick. It does seem like the barista were new as the coffee was a little burnt and the frozen drink came out a little to powdery tasting. But would not mind going back. read more

This place has such a welcoming atmosphere. I definitely recommend this place for those that are looking for a place to get some work done, and not be over crowded like your local coffee franchise. I will admit that the location is a bit far but completely worth the drive, besides it provides both Midlanders and Odessans a neutral territory to go enjoy coffee. I love the theme, one thing that I love about West Texas is our patriotism, honoring those who have served and those fallen. A beautiful homage sits on display in honor or Cpl. Ray. The drinks are amazingly done, not only that but the staff is always generously helpful to offer suggestions and to make sure that I enjoy my drink.
