The attitude of staff besides the radiologist wasn't attentive and they did not listen to what the cause and symptoms were including my personal medical history. I told them that about a year or so ago, I was given penicillin because I was unconscious. The hospital that did intake while I was unconscious was Sunrise Hospital. I woke up there to very little information and swelling of my lower abdomen. This was because they administered penicillin and it is a deathly allergic response my body has and it's caused inflammation now for a year. That causes irreversible damage and mutative effects that could be cancerous, infertility, and overall reproductive system failing that could lead to hysterectomy. That is disguising to do but even worse when nearby do not correct it by re-administering in the same place as the penicillin with clindamyacin OR because it's an allergy, at least try an anti histamine. They did nothing except explain clindamyacin in the arm isnt what's allowed, which is false because that means penicillin can't be intra utero which was done, and basically I just sat and waited for way too long to leave with no alleviation of symptoms. It's frustrating when someone in their 20's is a female and irreversible damage wasn't considered. It's hateful and disgusting. Way too high of a percentage of women suffer permanently or end up deceased because of this. This is against medical oaths and standards required to even obtain a doctorate. Something this simple does not need to end in someone dying because of people not taking their job seriously or have gross intention. Not to mention, Las Vegas itself is an entertainment city internationally. Lack of basic medical compassion and knowledge leads to set backs or interruption in everything an entertainer does. The entire visit with the doctor lasted less than five minutes. I was then sent for blood work. Even though I had fasted beforehand just in case, I was told the specific test had to be completed before a certain time, so I had to schedule another appointment. When I returned for my second appointment after making another 30-minute drive, I was informed that the phlebotomist wasn't there, so I couldn't even have my blood drawn. After two disappointing visits, I decided not to return to this office. To make matters worse, I later received a bill for an additional $73. I spent over six months trying to get someone to explain why I owed more money after already paying my copay. I called weekly, left countless messages, and never received a return call. Because no one would respond, the balance was eventually sent to collections. I paid the balance just to deal with the collections issue, then disputed the charge with my bank because even they agreed the situation seemed unusual. Despite that, I am still being billed for the same charge. Once again, I spent months trying to get answers with no response. When I finally reached someone, I was essentially told that if I didn't pay, it would simply be sent to collections again. No one could actually explain why I owed the money. I no longer have the insurance I had at the time of my visit, and I was also told the doctor I originally saw doesn't even work there anymore. The lack of communication and patient care at this office is unacceptable. Ignoring patients for months while continuing to bill them and threaten collections is not how a medical practice should operate. If they put even half as much effort into helping their patients as they do collecting money, this situation could have been resolved long ago. I will never return and would not recommend this office to anyone looking for a practice that values communication, professionalism, or patient care.

When I arrived at WHASN Essential, I was surprised by the unprofessional interactions with the front desk staff. I was asked personal health questions in the lobby where everyone nearby could hear. I could hear other patients' private medical information as well, including details about where previous biopsies had been performed. This raised serious concerns about patient privacy and HIPAA compliance. Many of these questions could also have been handled by reviewing my chart beforehand or at least moving the conversation to a private area. I mentioned my concerns to the mammogram technician and explained that the questions were being asked loudly enough for the entire lobby to hear. She did not acknowledge what I was saying and instead continued giving me instructions for my mammogram. She could have directed me to an office manager or someone else who could address the issue, rather than completely ignoring me. The final straw was when Dr. Nguyen's office canceled my follow-up appointment one week before it was scheduled because her hours are shortened. This was the same appointment I had gone out of my way to get the mammogram for at another location. If her hours were being reduced, why were existing appointments not honored? Patients should not have to rearrange their schedules and travel to a different office for an appointment that is later canceled. I understand that circumstances can change, but these experiences are very upsetting.
