My first time seeing Dr. Blank. (Interesting name) The office has a weird layout.. there are like 5…read morewaiting rooms..made me wonder if each Doctor had their own individual waiting room. The receptionists were very efficient, got me checked in and seated quickly.. handed me a form to fill out. Funny thing was it had those #2 pencil circles like a sat test where you fill in the circle in pencil for your choice. This office is pretty busy because theres a long wait to be seen. I was warned in advance that this would be the case. Once I was in the room to be seen a super nice tech took me back for x-rays. When Dr. Blank finally came in to see me he was pleasant and had some good options for how to handle my issue.

Drove to Short Pump to see Colin Mudrick with great expectations. Left without being seen…read more I arrived at the Tuckahoe Orthopedic Practice in Short Pump at 2:50 for my 3:10 appointment. It was obvious Dr Mudrick had been overbooked and was running significantly behind. At 3:30 after another patient was called back, a gentleman asked the individual if she was Dr. Mudrick's nurse. She responded yes. He then asked how far behind Dr Mudrick was running and said "I'm a doctor." The nurse asked his name, looked at her pages of patients and responded "you're at 3:40, I'll be calling you next." That got my attention and I responded "excuse me, my appointment was at 3:10 and I'm leaving" which I did. There are any number of highly recommended orthopedic surgeons in the Richmond area. And unfortunately a supposedly great doctor can be tremendously undermined by his/her staff

So I have had a really good experience with the doctors I've worked with here, this review is more…read morefor the practice as a whole. The location at Johnston-willis is perpetually late. I had a 9:30am appt and when I got to the desk to check in there was an hr my doctor was 45 mins behind. I was seen 90 mins after my scheduled time. I get things happen and people run late but It would be nice to have a heads up or a sorry we were so late. Just something. Also some of the support staff (medical assistants, front desk) have absolutely no personality. It's like talking to a robot. But the doctors are good so I guess it is what it is. Not sure if other locations are the same.

Today when I had a visit with an PA, I explained to her the difficulty I was having with not being…read more and being passed around from one provider to the other. I cried and got very emotional. Later, when I reviewed the progress note of what went on during our interaction, there was nothing about how I felt emotionally or when I was going through or I felt I . My entire career was in healthcare, in fact, when I was a quality reviewer. And here's what I think about such a clean note. "When a provider leaves out the emotional and psychological context of a visit, they aren't just being "straightforward"--they're being inaccurate". Mylevel of pain and the distress it's causing you are vital pieces of clinical information. If a surgeon or another specialist looks at that note, they're getting a sanitized version of the truth that makes it look like you're "managing" when, in reality, you're hitting a breaking point. I requested that the provider an update the note to contain the a the additional .

Second times a charm... I had a minor procedure done here and the ease and efficiency was flawless…read more I was greeted personably and within moments Shelly had me back in her office. She was totally chill and friendly creating a relaxed environment. I was done in no time. The prices are reasonable and the service is professional. My second visit was just as smooth as my first! Personally, I'm not too crazy about the industrial, minimalist vibe of the place, but it's clean and they practice Covid protocols. I love the plant wall at the reception desk. Parking can be challenging in this Libbie/Grove area, but there's a self pay parking lot in the back but they validate.

Horrible breast reduction. My surgery was in March of 2022. We had talked during consultation and I…read moreexpressed the size I wanted to go down to. I also paid the extra 2grand for the lipo in the side boob area. Not only did he take way too much out, he didn't do my lipo during the surgery. He offered for me to do lipo in his office while being awake the entire time which ended up being a traumatic experience as I felt a lot of it. When I expressed concerns about how small he'd taken me he suggested I come back to him to get implants. Worst experience with a doctor ever.
