Jamey takes care of things and doesn't pressure for unnecessary things. He is currently helping me with some springtails that have decided to invade our home. He is very helpful and came right back out when I texted him in a panic about them!

I chose Crossbones because he was straight up with me on the phone and didn't try to sell me with statements like "How much is too much to invest in your home" when I inquired about the price! I did receive these type of statements from other companies I called. He also didn't try to sell me on a program. He gave me his price for a one time spray and said he'd be over the next day! I've had another pest control company come and spray before and by watching them I was left with the feeling that I could have done what they did myself as they did a very quick job. Jamey however was super thorough. I watched as he sprayed the inside and outside of my house and was super impressed. He said I should not see any spiders or other activity for 90 days. Yay! I can now sit on my deck in the evening and not worry about spiders dropping from the gutters! It's been 2 weeks and I haven't seen a spider or a bug in or around my house! His price was super reasonable as well. Jamey worked for a large pest control company for many years and decided to branch out on his own so he has no overhead costs and can charge his customers a fair price! He has many years of experience and it shows!!

I would give more stars if I could. Honest company - Travis was great!…read more The first company I called came out to give me an estimate for bat exclusion in my covered porch ceiling (exposed rafters because all plaster had been taken down and we needed to put up the beadboard ceiling). Although I had seen bat droppings for a couple of years, I was not that concerned because we didn't use the porch as it was in the remodeling process. I never saw any bats and I tried to look at dawn and dusk to see them. The estimate the first company gave me was for $2,033 and the $50 I paid to have them come out would be included in that if I proceeded. They said that would cover the porch ceiling and they noticed a 3rd floor dormer (from walking around outside the house) that might have bats. Our third floor is completely finished and we have no attic. I had a second estimate a week later and Travis from Heartland came out. He was Great!!!! We checked with flashlights and realized there were no openings into the house and he said the bats were likely roosting in the rafters in between feedings in the middle of the night. He said it was too cold for them to stay in the rafters or even the soffit overhang with the low temperatures and to install the beadboard ceiling to seal things up. The third floor dormer was caulked and painted also - no openings there. Travis said he wouldn't give me an estimate as there was nothing to be done! He was very kind and honest and answered all of my questions. He saved me $2,033 and I wish I had called him first.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND these folks for any bat removal needs. Not only did they come out once, but twice…read moreand did inspections on my property. The first time I was told there was no signs of bat activity anywhere in the attic or on the roof of the house. I continued hearing sounds and decided to call in a second opinion of a company who had a wider portfolio of services that could potentially identify the issue. This second company (Envision wildlife and pest) immediately latched on to the idea of bats since I had already had the inspection completed by Heartland Humane and spent less than 10 minutes on my property trying to convince me that I needed to spend $1400 to do bat exclusion because they found entry points and droppings on my roof. He event went as far as telling me the bats could come out of the attic through my bathroom vents and if they made contact with me, I can guarantee I've been bitten and should seek treatment for rabies... naturally I was extremely terrified to continue staying at my house. I felt uneasy about the whole situation since the second company tried to pressure me into treatment so quickly and I decided to call Heartland Humane back to reinspect and make sure that nothing was missed in the initial inspection. They came out and reassured me that I DO NOT have a bat problem by re-inspecting the roof and attic. The owner could tell I was very uneasy about the whole situation and went out of his way to install an exit tube on the roof in case I was dealing with a one off issue even though he saw literally no signs of this being necessary, just to ease my mind and make me feel comfortable in my own home. I am so grateful to have come across a company who isn't after scamming consumers out of thousands of dollars for an issue that doesn't exist. Had I needed to do exclusion on my house services would have been roughly $600 - 800 going through these folks. Save your money and go with a reputable company who does the right thing.

Not only does my grass look great, it will be bug free in a day or two. Ryan is a straight shooter and has always been responsive. I'm happy to have found him several years ago! Give Ryan a call and he'll not only get rid of your unwanted pests while also making sure you know just how appreciated your business is to him!

RESPONSE TO RYAN'S FEEDBACK:…read more Ryan stated: "Our prices reflect both the cost of the item, along with the installment service, our knowledge of the situation, the bait, and checking the stations." As I mentioned, the cost I paid for the traps and poison was $650.00 LESS than what Ryan quoted me (that covers the cost of the item part); installment takes about 45 seconds of opening the cover, putting the bait on, closing the cover, and sitting the trap on the ground (that covers installment); they were Voles (that covers the SITUATION); isn't the bait part of COST? (see above that I saved over $650.00, bait included); I checked the stations every other day and changed out the bait (another 90 seconds of work per station). So what Ryan is saying is that the installment, knowledge, and station checking is worth about $650.00? Folks, seriously? Buy your own stuff online and send me an email if you are having the same problems and I'll send you a link on what to buy. Btw, I just changed my rating to 2 stars from 3 for the answer Ryan provided that doesn't explain the ridiculous price per bait station. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm giving three stars because Ryan is a very friendly, engaging soul. Otherwise, I'd be rating this company as 1-2 stars. Let me explain. Ryan came out same day when I asked him to take a look at my lawn with the Voles problem. There isn't a 'free consultation' with them, it costs $40.00 for a walk around which can be applied to the contract or forfeited if you don't go with their company. Ryan gave a bizarre answer when I asked him about poison bait in the holes where the Voles would enter and exit. He tried to equate it to humans ignoring food left at their front and back doors. Voles are not equipped for logic and deductive reasoning but I let him motor on. Anyway, the quote consisted of me purchasing and owning 6 bait traps with poison inside that the Voles eat and die from. The cost? $125.00 per trap for a total of $750.00 I did my best poker face to keep from laughing. That doesn't include the $98 'One Time Service' PLUS the 7% tax added on. I went on eBay and bought 6 of the EXACT SAME bait traps for $62.00 (free shipping) and poison bait for $68.00. Total cost: $130.00 (compared to the $750.00 he quoted me). No wonder he has such a nice truck. Ryan is a very nice guy, again. A bit assertive, self-assured, borderline cocky but nice guy. The prices are excessive and unnecessary. By the way, my bait boxes worked very well. They nibbled for a few days. I changed the bait. Eventually, no signs of nibbling and no signs of varmints and I saved myself over $650.00 You can decide if you want a friendly guy that charges way too much for services. Just giving you facts.
