My college aged daughter came home for the summer with company :-( she was unaware that the breed which she had adopted from a rescue was the shedding type which her mom is allergic to. I wanted her home so bad, I allowed her to bring her new roommate with her for the summer. After a week in my home, I wanted this dog to get a bath so I called around Friday night with no luck on getting an appointment. I began my search Saturday morning as well when google suggested Cozy Pets. It was near my home too. I just knew it was going to be another dead end call but to my surprise they offered to squeeze her in for a bath and nail care if I could get her there lickety-split. The fee was $45. She had a mardi gras themed collar on when I returned to get her. I was very pleased with the overall experience. I had done some homework on this breed (corgi mixed) and the owner gave me some additional education. We agreed to have her groomed for a smaller rate bi-weekly for the duration of her stay in NY. I booked her next two appointments right there on the spot. PROS & CONS: They accept CASH ONLY at this establishment. In this day and age that's an inconvenience. However, for your convenience, they have an ATM next to the front desk ( small fee per use of course). No waiting area. More of a drop off and pickup atmosphere (maybe common in this field, I'm a newbie what do I know?) ONE STOP SHOP for accessories, food, treats, toys, clothing, etc. Pricing is $- $$. Visit the shopping cart for special sale items. Overall I give Cozy Pets 4 STARS for our initial visit. I do hope the good service continues. If you can manage to make one they cannot keep appointments made and the groomers just leave of their own accord even if you had an appointment scheduled for later in the day. Customer service is nasty and aside from. 1 or 2 people there is an air of indifference the second you walk in the door. read more

My bichon Otis has been a client of yours in north Babylon and groomed by Jessica several times in the past 3 years and Otis loved her. I was told jessica is no longer with you guys so I made an appointment for my two dogs with Lisa who I was told was new to your business. Not only did you have my dogs for over 3 hours, my mini bernadoodle puppy boomer and my bichon Otis have bald spots all over them. Otis also who was groomed first has cuts and burns all over his body as seen in the pictures I'm sharing, and when I approached Lisa regarding it she said he was matted which wasn't true because his belly bares little to no hair. There was no apology. Whether the dog is matted or not there's no excuse to be that reckless with a razor. We are extremely upset about this because we really liked your establishment and trusted you since Otis was a puppy. We even referred friends. Also, when my husband had dropped the dogs off he asked for pricing and they agreed upon 75 for boomer and 60 for Otis. When I went to get them she charged me 160. I was so upset with what was going on I didnt raise a huge issue about the price and just paid. I just wanted my dogs because I was told that my mini bernadoodle puppy was lunging at her and biting her which I never heard of before of him doing this he is such a kind loving dopey puppy, which makes me feel as though she was too rough and hurt him. This place sucks. They cut my dog. They said he was matted. If they couldn't do the job they should have said that. They groomed him half way cut him and then told us to pick him up. Told us to put neosporin on the cut that's approximately 6 inches. They is wasn't bleeding so that should be fine. When i asked about them about the dog going to a vet. Jess was very nasty and called my daughter a lier. My daughter said they never mentioned the vet. She said if we took him ro the vet they would only pay half because he was matted. They are not professional. They don't have customer service skills. read more

Love love love Cozy Pet!! The place was recommended by a friend and I have been so happy with the service I have gotten here. Jess, has gone above and beyond what any groomer would normally do for my dog. She has fit him into her schedule when he didn't have an appointment and has helped with a flea problem I was having. I like that your dog is in and out and doesn't have to wait for hours to be groomed. He is also never in a crate when I pick him up, he's normally just running around her floor. I would recommend her and this place to anyone! My dog is not the easiest to work with but she does amazing with him. So happy I found this place! So thankful I found Jess! read more

LOOK below for a close up of the burns to my dog's chest. Sue, she does not identify herself as the owner, she pretends she is just a cashier, she is a liar and a fraud. Her response is nonsense, trying to save a ship destined to SINK!!!!I have photographs of my dogs injury. I have tape recorded messages of Sue calling my house over and over again. It went so far as I had to tell her my lawyer was going to litigate if she continued calling me.She should reimburse me for the $55.00 for the grooming and the 64.00 for the vet visit. I did not see her response until today. She is a liar phony fake and fraud. If you choose to bring your pet to this establishment remember you reap what you sow. I would never ever ever in danger of pet by putting them in this psychos hands. I was there for the entire grooming of my dog. I heard her Yelp several times and I also saw Emma, the worst dog groomer I have ever seen, close the curtains so I couldn't see what she was doing. Shame on you for lying Sue. It's amazing how many people in my rescue world know what a" reputable " business you run. Eventually the cream floats to the top and the shit sinks to the bottom. The truth will always win. So you have to look at yourself and your life in the mirror everyday. A number of your groomers have left your establishment because of your habits. May karma be yours and everything you deserve befall upon you. A posted picture for you who doubt me. Prim is fine today. And a conversation with her prior groomer Ursula I was advised Prim is not a screamer, that prim was never nervous, and she was always well behaved except when her dew claws are cut. The one thing she did say is I never had to stay when Ursula groomed my dog because I knew she was in competent hands unlike the brutal fists of Emma the groomer who injured my pup. read more

She checked in with me throughout the process and she did an amazing grooming on my dog. My fiancé made an appointment and showed up to it 10 minutes earlier. The groomer, Jennifer, told her that she had to reschedule because she didn't confirm. The owner who pretends to be just an employee ,never told her that she had to confirm an appointment . The owner stood and watched the whole scene and did not intervene but instead she allowed her groomer to curse out a customer. The entire time there was a small white dog on the table that was terrified from the groomer yelling. If one makes the appointment, it's understood that they're showing up to it. This is the second bad experience that she has had there and it's clear why they lose customers. I will be taking my business to a professional groomer that cares for the client and the dog, I'm going to Royal Paw. read more

I love this place. They always keep Orijen Dog and Cat Food in stock. The ladies are very friendly and seem to genuinely care about animals. I had my German Shepherd groomed last Christmas and they did a great job. I have an appointment on the 18th with her again which my wife and I are looking forward to (she's shedding like crazy). read more

I have taken my Persian cat here a few times and the last 2 times I got her back she was lathergic for days after. Barely eating or drinking. There is no doubt in my mind that she was given a sedative without my consent. There is no reason to do so since she is declawed and is very docile and would never bite. Since this happened a second time I will not be back. For the outrageous price and the condition that my cat comes back in its not worth it. I do have to say that I love the grooming and her groomer is super nice but I believe the management leaves something to be desired. read more

I had a relative take their family dog to Cozy Pet. The dog came back injured and had to go to the Vet. Owner Sue would not apology or take responsibility for something that happen while the dog was in their care. I do not recommend using Cozy Pet of North Babylon. My puppy has been seeing Emma since day 1! I got a coupon for somewhere else & should've went with my gut. Emma is only one (it seems like the other groomers at Cozy Pet are loving & caring as well-but they tend to reschedule you with same groomer- probably better for dog) who really pays attention to my dog's behavior & goes above & beyond to make it a fun enjoyable experience. I let a little Yorkie Pom ShihZsu mix go too long between cuts & I know any other place would've buzzed it all away to save time & patience. He looks so ADORABLE just like she said he would. I was particular 1st few times I went but since his hair was so long & had a few knots, I didn't expect to have options in the way it'd be styled. I brought my dog here for its first haircut. I told them that I just want him cleaned up and wanted to keep that puppy look he was all over grown poor guy eyes were completely covered i waited because I like that messy puppy look and told them that they completely did not listen really cut him short and gave him a very clean cut. NEVER AGAIN. the staff? WONDERFUL. the owner? WITCH. with a B of course, my puppy takes only about a half an hour to be groomed so I usually wait for him. While waiting the owner walked in and began not with good afternoon but with complaining to the staff IN FRONT OF customers, also while waiting a woman walked in to purchase food for her new puppy and was buying health extension as I was also directed to do when I first got my puppy. I had to tell her my awful experience with the food because I would not want it to happen to another dog. My puppy was vomiting and had diarrhea for a week and a half. Once I changed his food he was happy and healthy. The owner started yelling right away talking over me telling me that I made the wrong decision and not to tell customers what to buy. First off, I will do what I want with my dog, Second, just because my choice is cheaper does not mean its the wrong choice or that I don't care about my dog. She than walked around saying my dog eats better than me and talking about me while I was standing right there!!! She was only concerned with making the sale. It was terrible business etiquette. As well as immature. I will NOT be going back there EVER again and I will be spreading the word to all my friends that I have told to go there. Sadly my wonderful groomer has to suffer. Furthermore, for those of you who do prefer these wellness foods I recommend pet pantry located at 620 sunrise hwy in west Babylon. Their dry food is about $7 cheaper and canned food at least $.50 cheaper. SORRY JENN!! you're the best :) read more
