We arrived early Friday morning and were able to grab campsites near each other that could occupy 30 of us. If you're into hammock'ing like myself, there are many trees up the hill from the campsites. Amanda and Dell did an awesome job helping us with anything we needed, showed us where everything was, and kept the sites including bathrooms really clean. The only thing they didn't mention was there were wolves in the area. (Story time!) On our last morning at 4am my cousin heard footsteps which he thought was our uncle. Turned out to be grey wolves bigger than the German Shepherd my cousin brought. The car alarm took a few trys for them to even budge. With our flashlights we were able to see 6 up in the woods. We then jumped in the car and left until sunrise. As for the fishing at Navajo Lake, we caught about 30 Chubs which we threw back and a few 10in Rainbow with our full day boat rental and 6 people. Worms were being hit more than power bait jfyi.

Parking spot at camp site and parking lots for extra vehicles. Fire pit and picnic table at camp site. I liked when we arrived my campsite said my name and arrival and departure dates. Close proximity to the lake and launch pad for boats. Cons: the weekend we visited it was warm. 80 during day and 40 at night. We got sun burned. Living in Vegas we are usto hot sun but not a sun so close like up on the mountain. This camp site and a few others had no shade. We had to go buy a canape to seek shelter from the sun. And when we did that we wanted to set it up in this one spot that was shady most of the day but there was a large pile of dry dead tree branches which was disheartening because fire level is at extreme. I'm not sure if we truly were allowed but the campsite host allowed small fires and was also selling fire wood. So we cleaned up and moved all the branches away from the area. Nothing like manual labor on vacation! I spotted a few other piles around our side of the compound. Camp site # 14 is along the road just a FYI. You can see the cars and trucks go by with out a guardrail but quite at night. Overall a nice peaceful place thank you!

We made a last minute decision to get away for a couple of days and head to the mountains for some…read moresnow. A friend recommended the Lodge at Duck Creek, so we made reservations on-line and came up the mountain from Southern California. It was well worth the trip. 14" of snow fell our first day ! Exactly what we were hoping for. The accommodations far surpassed our expectations: spacious, clean and comfortable. There was enough room for my family to spread out and relax. Every room was so clean, it felt as if we were the first to visit. The kitchen had everything from new appliances to all the utensils needed to prepare and enjoy a meal. The view of the meadow from the great room was just like a Christmas card ! During the day we were able to rent a snowmobile complete with a guide who showed us around the Duck Creek Village area. What a blast. During the evening, I was able to enjoy Directv on a big screen TV while my teenagers especially enjoyed the WIFI. Mike and Christine are friendly and nice, excellent hosts and neighbors during our stay. We are looking forward to coming back in the summer to enjoy another season at the Lodge.

But be aware if you're going on a holiday weekend, the town isn't usually celebrating. Labor Day weekend there was no live music and everything was closed by 7/8 PM. Convenience store in the area closed by 6 PM on Saturday.

Julie's place is great!! Cabin is massive and looks even bigger and better in person. It is a…read morelittle over 3.5hr drive from Harry Reid Airport (Vegas). She is reachable by text 24/7. The cabin is near the EAST Entrance of the park (40 min drive). The line on the East side is about 1/4 the time compared to South side. For example, last time I had to wait in line for 20 min at the East Entrance compared to 1.5hrs at the South Entrance. The drive from East Entrance to the visitor center will be 30-40 min. So essentially, even though there is more driving from East side to get to the visitor center, the time is equal. Some other helpful information. -- It is a 20-30 minute drive to a couple slot canyons before the East Entrance of Zion --- The Canyon outlook trail is on the east side right by the tunnel. So this allows some flexibility... if the parking lot is packed on the way to the visitor center, you have the option of checking again on the way back to the cabin. Tip: when returning to cabin from Zion after 7pm, you can still go through the tunnel to exit on east side! For some reason, after 7pm, google maps will tell you to go through the south exit and loop around the park which takes 2hrs.

I felt the need to post this review because I found it very difficult to find recent reviews on…read morethis campground prior to my stay, so hopefully some of you find this helpful! First off, if you're on the fence about going, DO IT! This is a beautiful summer campground, we went June 8-10, 2018 and the weather was perfect. It did get a little cold at night, but nothing that our sleeping bags couldn't handle. The campgrounds here aren't too close together which I really appreciated, but some campsites are more shaded than others. I stayed in B loop, site #48 and it was conveniently located close to the restrooms (which are kept very clean) and the campground host, who sell firewood. People here were very respectful of the quiet hours which start at 10. Keep in mind that there are no showers at this campsite. Also, the picnic table and fire ring are on concrete which I loved SO much and it even comes with a stand for your portable stove and a place to hang your lantern. The campsite also has tent pads that they have leveled out which made sleeping very comfortable. However, the one thing I do regret is not bringing a hammock!! There are lots of trees here. This place is also walking distance to a small lake where you can go fishing and a short 4 mike drive to Duck Creek Village, which has a convenience store, small restaurants, and souvenir shops.

There are three twins size beds, a futon, and a queen. Pretty well stocked with kitchen essentials, plenty of wood, and extra folding chairs for relaxing outside. If you want to getaway from other humans, this is your spot. Location was awesome, close to Bryce.
