Paws down, Cathy is the best dog groomer in the universe! I never would have thought my dog Abby would be more excited to go to the Canine Camp than to spend time with us. She loves it there and Cathy does a fantastic job. We are so thankful and appreciative for the heart they use while doing their job!

My girlfriend asked me to write a review for these guys since she loves them, but hates signing up for things on the interwebs, mostly due to laziness! She has been taking her 16-year old Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix to doggie day care here for about a year and couldn't be happier with the services provided by Cozy Canine Camp. The biggest reason for the coveted five-star review is these guys actually care about the animals. They are genuinely happy to see my girlfriend's dog and take great care of her. They pay attention to the dog and report back on how she was during the day and clean her up a little if she gets a little dirty playing in the yard. Your dog will not be trapped in a cage if you bring it here, they have a play yard for the animals. My girlfriend has actually seen a dramatic improvement in her dog's physical and mental health. Bringing her here keeps her active, which is important with her old age. As a border collie she still has a lot of energy, though the body is not always capable of expending it as quickly as in her youth. Giving her the opportunity to be outside for a longer period each day lets her get the exercise she needs at her own pace. We thank Cozy Canine Camp for that. Aside from day camp, they also provide boarding services, and they are extremely flexible. Need an extra day? Good to go! No charges or change fees, these guys are happy to care for your pet for as long as you need them to. As long as space is available, you can even make a same-day reservation without a fee or penalty for late notice. In short, these guys are in this because they truly love animals and it shows in the quality of service they provide. They are, without a doubt, the best at what they do in the area. Woof! Woof!

The website states that there are terf play areas. That is simply not true - none of it. We recently used Happy Tails as a last minute place (our usual dog sitter had to cancel last minute). The communication was not great at all. There was miscommunication about what updates I should be getting (we ended up with 3 over a 10 day stay). I called at least 3 times and it went to voicemail. I left messages and nobody called me back. I only got updates when I called and asked for them. I talked to 3 different people and got 3 different answers as to what kind of updates I should be getting. The only updates we ever got were 2/3 pictures on a "report card". Nothing about her well being or demeanor. When I picked her up she was FILTHY (it would've been another $50 - $70 to get a bath upon pick up). The amount of dirt I washed off of her was disgusting. She had open sores on ALL of her legs from what I assume were pressure sores from laying on the hard cots (not the orthopedic dog beds as the manager states). One of the sores was actively bleeding. A few of her toenails were split. When I questioned what happened they seemed shocked and took pictures and told me they would investigate and call me back by the end of the day.... 3 days later, still waiting to hear. She was exhausted....like wouldn't even open her eyes (and she's a 2.5 year old ACTIVE dog). I understand that its stressful and can be tiring, but she slept from noon until the next morning. For what we paid for our 10 day stay (super expensive) compared to the treatment we received we will never return to this place. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Ever. We will be going another place next time we need someone to take care of our furry family member.

But after addressing it with the head doctor, the professionalism displayed only further reassured me of how top-notch this place is. Our pets have never been scared or unhappy coming here - the staff spoils them ridiculously! They have seen our dog and cats through many stages of life, and have helped with many ailments (having only owned rescues, there have been plenty of ailments for them to figure out and deal with!). Sadly they had to be with us just a week ago when I had to make the heartbreaking decision to put our cat Frankie down. While there was nothing easy about it, the staff at Bay Country was amazing. The straight-forward, yet outstanding bedside manner of Dr. Bauer; the compassionate, yet professional counsel from Dr. McLean; and the warm, comforting assurance of Dr. Smith who did the procedure, coupled with the vet tech, Amy, who was so helpful, understanding and comforting, and the receptionists, Victoria and Charlotte, who were such sweethearts that entire morning dealing with all my phone calls... I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to walk this hard road with. I appreciate this facility so much, and highly recommend them to everyone.

When she was done her coworker informed her she had another tour. She pouted because she said she had a sore throat. They paged a male employee. Are several minutes he came in from out front. They told him they needed him to do a tour. He made an exasperated noise and said he didn't want to. I stepped up and said since our business wasn't a priority, we would take it elsewhere. If they couldn't be bothered to give us a tour that they invited us to take, how would they treat our dogs. We could not believe we were treated so poorly.

They generally can get you an appt next day. The bad: 1. My pet has been seen here within the past 6 months. I called to get a simple flea and tick med refill. We are up to date on the heart worm testing that had been performed here. The receptionist told me I could not get the med filled because it is state law to be up to date on rabies vaccination to get flea and tick medicines prescribed. My pet did not have a rabies vaccine on file at the first visit, when they prescribed me a 6 month dose. They did not tell me at the time that a stipulation to refill would be to have proof of rabies vaccine. Poor communication to me, and gave me misinformation because it is not State law, but instead their individual policy for this company that they must have proof of rabies to prescribe anything else to you. I appreciate that the medical director did call me back same day and listened to my concerns. They filled the med as a one off, but it was very disheartening to have to jump through hoops to get a preventative care medicine that other vets would readily give because all that is actually required by law is a valid vet-client relationship which, for most vets, means they have examined your pet within the past year. 2. We had cytology sent away for my dogs lump. The vet called to discuss the results and said that not enough sample had been collected, but she was confident it was a lipoma. This seemed to be an error in collecting the sample, but when discussing with the medical director it was told to me that this was another miscommunication. It was actually deemed a lipoma per the lab. 3. We brought our 4 month old, 4 pound kitten is for pre-surgical labs for her spay. They said she was too unruly and gave us meds to make her calmer. We came back with her medicated and they were still unable to get a blood sample. This is not a feral cat, she is a well domesticated cat we have bottle fed since 4 weeks old. The vet that performed her spay was able to get bloodwork without pre-meds. Unfortunately too much "bad" outweigh the "good" for us to return here.
