Unfair, beware !! I…read moreread the reviews. Like others who have chosen this b&b, I was attracted by its close proximity to Yosemite NP and others who spoke of their great experiences. I called Karen in Sep 2019. She really was knowledgeable and convinced me hers would be a great place to stay to experience all of the park. She even talked me into extending my stay with her a couple of days instead visiting a different park. I decided Yosemite would be the centerpiece of my bucket list trip to CA National Parks and sent Karen the $2,300 nonrefundable deposit. Fast forward to April 2020 and the Covid pandemic. CA was under mandatory shelter in place orders, Yosemite and other NPs were closed and the Mariposa county health dept. had issued a public order restricting hotels/B&B from operating. So Karen's establishment was not even going to be open for business during the time of my planned May stay. Reluctantly I cancelled the entire trip and asked for refunds; got them from everyone but Karen. Since that time I have pursued the issue with her on several occasions. She has not budged on returning any part of the $2,300 nor given me another workable remedy. She kept all the money for no services rendered. I hope to make the trip to CA once it's safe to travel again. When I do, I will not be staying with Karen. If you decide to book here, do so at your own peril.

Karen would spend 15-20 mins with us each night and help plan our next day - this along was invaluable to ensure we saw all the best parts of Yosemite. Karen and her daughter were also very helpful advising us on what to bring with us, where to buy groceries etc. and answering any questions prior to arriving. If you are visiting Yosemite, 4 days was perfect and you can not go wrong staying with Karen. Highly recommended!

I felt sad saying by to Ron and Liz because they made us feel so welcome and at home. I'm glad we found this place and can't wait to stay during our next Yosemite trip! Thank you so much for everything.

My husband & I are in our 30s & we had THE best stay at this B&B (our first experience in an actual…read morebed & breakfast). We were able to hike in Yosemite using the YARTS bus system ($30 round trip) & came home to a freshly made bed & homemade cookies every night after hiking all day. Liz made us a delicious breakfast at 8:30am (although she did ask if we wanted it earlier) & we caught the YART into the park at 9:15- hiking by 10am. Our hosts were fantastic, the room (top floor) was HUGE & definitely cool- even on a 95 degree day (those other reviews are ridiculous- Liz had no issues keeping us comfortable- in both AC use & shade for breakfast). On the last day of our trip the YART busses didn't show up for our trip back & Ron rescued us from the park late at night (we were literally stranded in Yosemite). I will say If you are in your 20s, looking to party this isn't the place for you. If you are a recluse not wanting to socialize, this isn't the place for you. But If you have 4 kids & plan on leaving them at home- this is totally worth it. In every aspect. My husband & I played scrabble at night with white claws & listened to the river... we slept in... someone else cooked for us...we hiked all day & came home to a cozy bed & friendly faces. Ron & Liz are definitely "chatty" as some have mentioned in other reviews, but you're staying in their home- so we felt it was all apart of the B&B adventure/experience. We will 100% stay here again and recommend it to all of our friends.

We booked a private room with a bath, which was comfortable, a bit outdated, but fine for our stay. Since there weren't many photos or videos online, I wasn't sure what to expect, but the resort turned out to be charming. There are nice amenities including a walking trail, campfire area, laundry, foosball, spa, and café. The café served a great breakfast, though dinner was just okay. The steak could've used more seasoning, and the noodle dish was average. Both meals were generous portions. We did have an issue at the spa during the muscle rejuvenation soak, as both of us had an allergic reaction. We weren't able to use the hot tub or sauna afterward, which was disappointing. However, we spoke with the owners and they agreed to refund us- still pending as of September 2, but I appreciate that they took responsibility. Another plus is that the resort is only about 15 minutes from Mariposa, where you can find unique shops and restaurants. Overall, we wouldn't mind staying here again, though the drive back and forth from Yosemite did get a bit tiring.

I enjoyed the balcony, comfy bed, and clean bathroom. I found it beautiful that there are plenty of stellar jays flying over the B&B inn. There was sights of deers, butterflies, and many other creatures to see. The balcony also had comfy rocking chairs which gives a homey feeling. For breakfast there was only a bagel or pastry nothing else. If you're driving there are many restaurants and food places in the towns an hour before B&B inn, but after passing Oakhurst town there will be far drives to be able to go to marts or other food places.

The room we had was the Mariposa room and it was beautiful and large! We were amazed as everything looked clean and there were 2 bathrooms(one had the shower and the other had the toilet). Please make sure to read ALL of the rules that are in BOTH bathrooms that are hanging on the wall(one of them is right near the toilet and the other is in the other bathroom near the hair dryer). Pamela had also greeted us and told us about the continental breakfast and that you are to eat it in your own room. She would later enter your room when you are not there to pick up the dishes. She was also helpful with any questions in regards to what to visit in Yosemite. We loved our private balcony and the view of the stream flowing by. Pamela surprised us by hauling up some rocking sitting chairs on the last night of our stay onto the balcony. We enjoyed that very much and the peacefulness. We also enjoyed the fridge in the room but also wished there was a freezer as well as we had brought our own ice packs. Cons: As much as we did not mind Pamela coming into our room to get the breakfast dishes while we were gone, we did notice a few things that felt odd. First, she took our used shower towels that was hanging on the inside of the horseshoe rack and rehung it on top of the horseshoe rack holder. She even took out the squishy non-slip padding in the shower and rehung it. She made our beds(though we could of sworn that one of the rules was that there was NOT going to be any room cleaning, etc. She took some of our other towels that we had used and replaced it with others(which was fine). BUT, she THREW AWAY my small styrofoam cup that I had left nicely on the sink counter. I had brought it from home and had used it to rinse my mouth after brushing my teeth. Who does that?? Who throws away someone else's things? I was very upset and it kind of made our stay there less enjoyable knowing that someone had gone through your stuff. Overall, it is a nice place to stay with a nice room and view but think about items that belong to you and what things you wouldn't want anyone to touch or throw away. We also suggest you bring your own food as there isn't really a place to eat at except for a place slightly down the street that sells sandwiches(it was good) or at the expensive restaurant at the hotel down the street. If you don't bring your own food, you would need to drive ALL the way back down the windy road into town.
