This is wonderful place. Has a small office, common kitchen fully loaded and eating space where you can eat together with everyone, a play area with some pool tables, enough parking spots and multiple bathrooms and shower rooms. We got a small room with a queen bed. It was small but perfect for two people. The only issue we saw the wifi didnt reach our tent, so we had no network! They also have a cafe nearby but it is way too expensive. Theres a spa with a day charge which is great too. Overall great for the price, specially when compared to other places nearby.

Clean and cozy spot. Easily accessible from the highway. Relatively close to Yosemite. Affordable rates with the option to share rooms and bathrooms or have your own private room. The cafeteria is always warm and has decent food all day!

This spot is horrible. You should never stay here! All jokes aside. I love The Bug. The food is always delicious. Fresh and plenty of options. Even some vegan plates. The rooms are a little outdated, but that just adds to the experience. Take advantage of the spa. Especially if you're out exploring the park. The Bug has become a tradition for me and will be for years to come.

Quaint and comfortable stay just a 50 minute drive from Yosemite. ~Location~ This resort is located up in the mountains and has multiple options for different types of rooms ranging from hostel-type to shared bathrooms to private rooms. We opted for the private room with a bathroom and enjoyed it. ~Rooms~ We were assigned the Glacier cabin which comes with an attached bath. We shared a wall with the cabin next door but did not have any complaints regarding noise or sound. Cabin- 5/5: clean and comfortable room. There was a refrigerator included in room which was super convenient for snacks. One of my favorite things were the hot showers. Nothing like a nice hot shower after a long day of hiking. They also had a fan and AC unit in the room which worked perfectly. Bed- 5/5: The bed was comfortable and I felt like I had a pretty decent night's rest for being away from home ~Parking~ They have a few parking lots and depending on how full it gets, you may need to park on the sides. We were there for labor day weekend and parking did get pretty busy during the weekend rush. ~Staff~ 5/5: Friendly and accommodating staff ~Food~ 4/5: On site restaurant for quick meals and coffee in the AM. We enjoyed two dinners at the restaurant. They have a daily menu that is robust in options and caters to all food types ~Check In~ 3/5: I wish there had been an email or further instructions on how to find check in office; we were a little lost in the beginning when locating the office for check in and spent some time roaming before we were able to find it. ~Amenities~ They have a spa area with a hot tub, yoga room, sauna which we did not use but looked clean and promising. ~Pricing~ 4/5: Relatively affordable lodging compared to some other options in/near Yosemite Overall, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay while exploring Yosemite.

When you read the name of this place, there is cause for concern, so don't take the name lightly! I'm terrified of bugs, but since options for hotels were limited for our visit to Yosemite (either expensive or far from Yosemite), we decided to give this place the benefit of the doubt cuz why would you advertise that there are bugs in your rooms?!?! We stayed in one of the private rooms (Bear A). During our stay, we encountered 3 bugs in our room (2 spiders, and 1 bee). One of the spiders was on the bathroom ceiling, so we couldn't reach it to kill it. The other spider was in the shower. The bee was also in the shower, but it was already dead in a puddle of water. For fear that the spider would fall on our heads while we were in the bathroom, we asked the lady in the front desk if they could provide a ladder or have someone come in to kill the spider. The lady in the front desk said the maintenance guys were out, but she was able to get one of the cafe guys to come assist and kill the spiders. Thank goodness for the hero who came to rid our room of the spiders. He truly deserves a medal. Here is the breakdown: Room overall: 1/5. Our room was Bear A. There were lots of marks and stains in the room, so it definitely wasn't the nicest room ever. The room was also quite snug and on the small side. It had two twin beds, which were very creaky and not very comfortable. The room also has a private bathroom. Bathroom was quite small, especially the sink since there was barely any surface area to put your stuff on. There were bottles of what I am guessing were body wash, shampoo, and conditioner, but the bottles weren't labeled so I have no idea what I put in my hair and on my body. As I mentioned before, there seems to be a bug issue, since we came across 3 bugs in our room in the span of two days. Even around the outside of the cabins (on the deck and the stairs), there were lots of spider webs. It would be nice if this place tried to at least clean the outside of the cabin a bit to prevent bugs from entering. Parking: 3/5. There were two parking lots. If you park in the lower lot, you have to walk up an incline in addition to stairs to get to your cabin. The upper lot is harsh for the car since it has gravel. At least parking is free Wifi: 3/5. Free wifi, which is a must because there is no service here. Wifi isn't the fastest, but it works Noise: 3/5. No major issues here, but since the cabins/rooms were close together, you can hear some noises. Service: 5/5. Service here is quite stellar. They do try their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The staff is very friendly, and the front desk lady went above and beyond to find someone to take care of the spider problem. The cafe guy who killed the spider also went above and beyond. Accessibility to Yosemite: 3/5. It's about 40 ish minutes to the entrance of Yosemite, but there's a section that is a one way road, so traffic is stopped to allow cars to take turns on the bridge. This causes delays so the drive to Yosemite will likely be longer, closer to an hour drive. Overall, if it weren't for all the bugs in our room, I would say our stay would have been a solid 3/5 stars (even with the small rooms and uncomfortable beds), but the bugs situation was really disappointing.

This place was like the Hilton of the mountains! Seriously, it truly a resort and have everything that you need. I'm sad that I found out that there were massages and a spa like right before I left! I stayed in the hostel portion of the resort. The beds were comfortable and lockers were present (although my lock was too small to use it). The other people in the hostel were also young travelers so the vibe was just right. My only gripe with the room was the lack of outlets. Had to charge me phone and computer in the bathroom, but like I said, the vibe was right so it was all good. The bathrooms were a pleasant surprise! There are two private shower stalls and two private toilets! It was quiet comfortable to use. I was also upset that I found out the the food is AMAZING like right before I checked out. There are several vegan options on the menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner!!! I had a tofu scramble breakfast burrito and it was the size of my head! I absolutely could not eat it all. The food is expensive, but worth it!

Wonderful place to stay with cozy huts and the best cafe in the area with views. There was a discount for boarders using public transit to get there. Food portions are big and hearty after a tired day in the Yosemite area.

New kitchen sink, 2 dishwasher 3 ovens in this picture alone.

Have stayed here many times it only gets better. The vibe alone makes this one of my favorite places to stay in Yosemite. The accommodations vary depending on your budget. On everyone of my stays I've had an impeccable room. This stay was a favorite. Our room was exquisitely antique. I've read some of the negative reviews and frankly those folks need to get a grip. If you want to stay on a concrete building go for it. This place is beautiful set in the wilderness. Our bedding was pristine and clean. Our room was spotless. The food was OUTSTANDING; as always. Although we were in a higher end room, I like the rustic charm just as well. The kitchen is newly remodeled and features several ovens, dishwashers, sinks. Would rather stay here than those over priced fancy spots. Come to the Yosemite Bug

Absolutely amazing experience!…read more Visited for a Saturday evening one night stay in March and was so surprised with all the amazing amenities. The room itself has everything needed: a spacious shower, a sink & toilet with good water pressure, a small fridge and microwave, a kitchen sink, cooking area, a nice bed and a couch that opens up and can fit one more person on there. Got an unexpected upgrade whe checked in and the room was in a more secluded area so that was nice! The common area was so nice and useful: coffee, meals, swings, couches, anything one might need. There was even a free yoga class with high quality yoga mats provided on Sundays, and every day there is a scheduled event. Even the pathways with numbers for the rooms were lit up so to be found easier. Ordered a pizza set (includes 2 pizzas) and it was tasty, with an over offered to us. Each AutoCamp car/bus has an outside area with a table, chairs, and a bench. The atmosphere was so serene, truly a great place. Also pet friendly! Location: 1 hour away from the Yosemite National Park but pretty okay distance considering the other options. Loved it so much that will visit other AutoCamp locations.

Read this if you are even thinking of staying a night here!…read more Me and my family decided to stay at this place as shown on the photos that this place a quite beautiful, calm, restful spot, but this place looks like it's quietly falling apart, and not in a charming, "needs a little TLC" kind of way, but in a neglect-has-set-in-and-stayed-there way. The window area is especially rough. The paint along the sill is cracked, uneven, and visibly deteriorating, with grime and possible water damage creeping into the seams. The corners look like they've been absorbing moisture for a long time, there's discoloration, warping, and buildup that suggests it hasn't been properly sealed or cleaned in ages. That's not just cosmetic, it hints at ongoing maintenance issues. Then there's the debris situation. The small black particles scattered in the metal container and around the window area give off a dirty, unkempt vibe, like basic cleaning just isn't happening regularly. Whether it's dirt, pest droppings, or just accumulated gunk, it doesn't inspire confidence in the overall hygiene of the space. And speaking of pests, the visible insect on the wall near the window doesn't help your case at all. Even a single bug in a spot like that makes the place feel poorly maintained, especially when paired with the cracks and grime that could easily serve as entry points. Overall, the impression is pretty clear: this is a space where maintenance has been ignored, cleanliness is inconsistent at best, and small problems have been allowed to snowball into bigger ones. It doesn't feel fresh, cared for, or particularly livable, it feels like something that's been left to slowly decline.

We were booked in suite 5, which does NOT look anything like the room shown on the website. It is old, dark and dingy. Even the front door lock was loose (as mentioned by another reviewer). I had made the reservations for my friend and me, and when we walked into suite 5, we both just deflated at how junky it looked. I wanted to show my friend how it didn't look anything like the website, but their internet didn't work at all until the next morning. The outdoor area is not lit up and welcoming, but dark and deserted. We made the best of it for that night, and in the morning, I contacted the owner via text. When I said that the room looked nothing like the rooms shown on the website, the reply was, "All of our rooms are different." So why don't they show photos of all of their rooms??? They offered to move us to another room, and I requested one that looks like the one on the website. They instructed me to find the key for suite 1, and that room was great! Looked just like the website, and was exactly what we were expecting. It was weird that this room was not rented out, but yet they didn't put us in that room in the first place. I later learned that we were charged $199 for the first night junky room, and $109 for the second night room that looked like the one on the website. That was contrary to what I remembered from the price listing on the website when I made the reservation, which I believe was $159 per night. But when you receive your confirmation email, there are no prices listed at all. I know it comes out to the same price, but it's very strange that the price/total isn't listed on your confirmation email. I would have asked if I had noticed it before we arrived. I really wanted to like this inn, but next time, I'll just stay in the heated cabins in Yosemite Valley for $155/night. The one-hour drive to the valley from this place wasn't worth it for us. If you're going to stay here, ask them specifically what room you will be in and if it's one that looks like the ones on the website. If not, consider staying elsewhere. Positive: the cafe is super cute with great coffee and food and nice people!

This inn is tucked off a small highway in Ahwahnee and has 6 very different units, each with little extras. I loved our Half Dome room - we had our own private entrance, parking spot, and a jetted bathtub. There were stairs which I knew would be a struggle after some hiking, but it was so worth it. Also had a small deck. First amazing surprise was a greeting by the very sweet Inn cat Buster. The breakfast deserves its own paragraph. Very beautifully presented, delicious, an ample amount and you get two time options which made planning our park visits easier. Speaking of which, I love that if you're planning to do an early hike you can ask for your breakfast to be packed in advance. We got a lunch bag where our host drew Half Dome with a John Muir quote (so cute! I kept it :)) filled with fruits and granola. We also got different chocolates after housekeeping tended our room each afternoon. Our final morning we got a puffy pancake with fruit, yogurt, and bacon. Sherilee was so kind and offered us extra bacon. After our meal, the other friendly cat Hank came and sat on my lap for a while. It was great! There is a real family / warm / cozy vibe here. The lodge itself is free to use anytime and they have a ton of movies and games, large table, really comfortable couches and always the perfect room temperature. They also have deet, sunscreen, cookies, and a basket with some poles you can borrow. Overall we felt so welcomed and very well cared for. I felt like I was luxury camping in the wilderness. I would definitely like to come back.

There was only 1 restaurant open (The River) This lodge is outdated, however, the location is ideal and the price is very reasonable compared to places inside Yosemite park. Overall, we had a good experience (aside from the WiFi) and enjoyed our stay. We stayed on the second floor and there were no elevators. So we had to lug all our bags up the stairs. The room was alright, it had a small kitchen area and a loft upstairs for the kids. There was a small grocery store /gift shop on site and an indoor pool. The River was the only restaurant open and was always packed. Prepare to wait. There was a small bar connected to the restaurant and that too was super busy. There was one worker who was making all the drinks and running around taking orders and grabbing food. Kinda chaotic. The food was alright, nothing special. My biggest complaint was the WiFi. The kids iPads kept losing service and sometimes there was none. We didn't spend much time at the lodge, only in the evenings. So it was doable.

At check in, the receptionist was totally unfriendly. Did not smile; did not welcome us and seemed to be bothered because I was trying to confirm the directions he had indicated about how to get to the room. When we got to the room we found a blood stain on the white sheet which we took pictures of to show receptionist. Receptionist immediately insulted us by implying that it was our own blood! He said "I know about blood and this looks bright red to me." I said cut the BS, what are you trying to say? He replied, "don't you course at me or I'll throw you out of this hotel!" I said, "why would I come all the way here to complain about blood stains if it was my own?" He replied, "to get new sheets!" I was like, "what????" He handed me a set of sheet and said, "here you go, you can change them." I immediately drove across the street to the Best Western and luckily they had a nice clean room available. We came downstairs and checked out. I explained the situation to the incoming receptionist, but she said that there wasn't anything she could do since I booked through Booking.com. I contacted booking.com at around 2:30am and they said they will speak to hotel. Eventually, booking.com said they didn't get a resolution from hotel. So we lost our money!!! What a feeling of impotence to receive this kind of treatment and service in the United States of America and there is no customer service department to complain to and the super billionaire company that made the reservation (booking.com) is not ultimately liable either! Absolutely terrible experience!!!
