Cox Motor Company provides good service at a reasonable price and specialize in Volkswagens.
We had just purchased a 2001 VW Golf GTI from another dealer in town (Bob's, see my other review) and it started to experience problems almost off the lot (seriously, like three days after purchase). After running around with Bob's, we took it to Cox Motors.
I interacted mostly with Mickey (who owns the place with his brother, I gathered) and he was very amiable and professional, explaining everything they planned to do, what they could see, and what they might possibly run into. In the end, we spent about $700 to get the car fixed up which, for a VW, is not too bad for everything that was done, and the check engine light didn't come back on again until my thermostat got stuck open (nothing to do with Cox Motors, just a bad thermostat).
The staff actually went out of their way to get us quality parts at the best prices--shopping around with different vendors and even scouring junk yards for some parts (to no avail, but they made the effort!)
I can't speak for their vehicle sales practices (as they sell cars, too, mostly VWs), as I have not purchased a car from them, though I certainly would, given my experiences so far. I certainly recommend Cox Motor Co. as a mechanic's garage (they work on other makes, too). read more
