Today I had a Sanders technician come out to my home to perform two recall issues. Brent was on time, very professional and courteous. He performed the work efficiently and effectively. This type of experience is what I have whenever I utilize Sanders maintenance services. read more

I brought my vehicle in for a recall repair, took 6 months to make that appointment, due to their explanation of having one vehicle to rent out to everyone that needs a warranty repair. My experience with the service department was extremely frustrating. While my vehicle was in the shop, for the warranty recall, I was informed I needed a new battery and a purge valve replacement, and provided with a price. I opted to replace the battery and advised Ally I would call back in a few short weeks to schedule the purge valve. A few weeks later I made the appt for the purge valve and Ally sent a text with the cost which was 60% higher than what I was quoted. I was advised if I approved the work while the vehicle was in the shop for the warranty repair I would not have been charged the additional labor. This was never explained to me, had I known this I would have likely had the repair done that day. Instead I was put in a position where I was penalized due to lack of transparency. To make matters worse, after questioning the price increase and asking for clarification, I received no response, I then sent a follow-up email to Ally and the service manager, Steve Flores, to which I did not receive a response from either. The lack of communication, and follow-up has been just as disappointing as the pricing inconsistency. read more

My complaint is with the Service Dept with your vehicle at SANDERS FORD in JACKSONVILLE NC. I wasn't going to make a review but after no response people need to know what to expect when you take your vehicle for issues or service work there. The Service dept. ( a man) is horrible for calling or texting you back regarding your vehicle to discuss estimates or related issues with your vehicle. This was my second time and was hoping for a better experience with the service dept. this round and again its still horrible. No Response or communication. You receive a text message at first when vehicle is taken in and then when finished. But if you reply it may be several days before a response. By far don' t request an estimate for a repair service and expect to get one back to fix your issues with your vehicle because you will not get it. August 14th asked for a estimate Been 14 days and NOTHING yet still!!!! I even resent a text request again Monday August 20th and still not a word back with an estimate. So what's the use of a vehicle warranty when ford want to do service estimates or repairs you need done here. I have been trying to get my vehicle fixed and I have to be the one to keep reaching out to try to get any information which is not the way this should be happening. My expectations were to be called and texted with an estimate for the price to fix my vehicle, but I guess that was to high of an expectation, instead its ok to not follow up with your clients and upper management is ok with that. HORRIBLE SERVICE DEPT. GO ELSEWHERE!! read more

Kudos Charles Arnold, a very low key and knowledgeable Salesperson. Never pushy with a sincere desire to Serve. Same can be said of Sale Manager Mr Bailey and Crystal of the Service Department. My 2024 Escape had a minor issue, Crystal took it in immediately, found a part had to be ordered so they put me in a 2026 Bronco loaner, and my vehicle was ready for pickup before noon the next day. No expense for any of this. All in all the most seamless and first class service I could ask for read more

These guys are absolutely awesome. They are always willing to help and they are very involved in the community.

I went in to purchase a new F150 already approved from Ford Credit. I received a very low ball offer on my trade of half of what it is worth. I understand there is always give and take on these things, but that was insulting, especially considering I received over double their offer 2 hours later from a dealership in Wilmington. I can see why so many stay away from dealers in Jacksonville. read more

I've taken my vehicles here for services and never had an issue . This time the staff was new and they claimed that the place I bought the car from must have over tightened the lug nuts and the tire wheel bolt broke off when they rotated the tires ... they took no responsibility and then said it would be almost $400 to replace the one bolt and lug nut . So why didn't more break off if it was the other service departments fault if they were over tightened?? I'm not happy or costly expense it's causing me now to get this fixed read more

I initially went to this dealership to have a recall fixed on my vehicle. They told me no problem and would have their van come to my house and take care of it there. They came, but after driving my car immediately afterwards I noticed that my backup camera was flip flopped, which pretty much made it useless to me. After about a week or so it stopped working altogether. Now my camera wasn't perfect to begin with, it would go in and out, but at least when it worked it was beneficial. I told Sanders ford about this issue and made an appointment. After sitting there for a while I was told the warranty covered the camera and they were seeing if they had it in stock, which I was super excited about. Cut to 1 1/2 hours later and they tell me my car is ready. I was then informed that the warranty does not covered the camera and that it will cost $925 to fix it. And I asked "even though it wasn't irreparably damaged until you guys worked on my vehicle?" And she said yes, because apparently whatever recall they fixed didn't have anything to do with the backup camera. Must have just been a super convenient coincidence that my camera stopped working after they worked on my vehicle. So I wasted my whole morning on my day off and got zero help from them, but she acted like it was a big deal she wasn't charging me for the inspection. Why even call customers after fixing a recall to make sure everything is working properly if they have zero intention of taking responsibility for things not working? HIGHLY recommend finding a better dealership. I'm super disappointed. read more

I traded in a 2024 Camaro convertible after driving only 747 miles, and I owed about $28,500 on it. I purchased a 2017 Mustang Convertible that had been driven 39,000 + miles . I had a new camaro in 2011 and traded it after a few months and forgot that I did not like the interior, but, I had really liked my 2019 Mustang convertible and saw the 2017 on the lot, and decided to trade. Anyway, I love my Mustang, but, recently found out that it is worth only $16,000 -$17,000 snd Sanders Ford charged me over $35,000 for it. I wish I would have gotten a CARFAX because I would have realized how badly Sanfers Ford was taking advantage of me. I guess the people who say that car dealerships take advantage of single women are right, and the other thing is that I am in my late 70s. At this point, I can honestly say I do not trust Sanders Ford and do not recommend that anyone goes there to purchase a car, especially a used car. read more

cannot recommend the Sanders Ford Service Department highly enough! Not only is this dealership not open until 6 but I called ahead of time to see if they had what I was looking for on their lot. They looked It up and said that they did. I told them Id be traveling 45 minutes to come to them to see it. I get there and Im told its actually not on their lot- its a half hour away and that they close in a half hour. This ate two hours of my day-they had plenty of time to call me to let me know they Didn't actually have it on their lot.Save yourself some time and dont go here. If this is how the very first appointment goes imagine what happens after you decide to purchase from them. This is how they treat their customers straight out of a pandemic- wow-must not need the money. read more

We came here after being poorly treated by another dealership. We wanted to trade in my husbands leased Tundra and purchase a new truck. Brennan greeted us and talked with us to see how he could help. In the end we purchased a very gently used 4x4 Diesel F-250 SuperCab. We were were so pleased with the service we received that I decided to trade in my RAV4 as well. Brennan took the time to explain all the various finance options as well as run different scenarios for us. In the end we decided on the 0% interest option. I am enjoying my 2020 Ford Edge. The customer service at Sanders Ford has made us a Ford family once more. read more

Back in May 2023, I bought my car in because my compartment for a 2016 mustang wouldn't open . They open it and shut it back down because they want me to think it's unfixable and damaged. Sanders I took my truck in to the service garage for repairs. When I got my truck back there were hoses not properly put back and leaking radiator fluid, my fuse box cover was off, they bubble gum welded my exhaust back on and now it leaks. When I met the service manager about it, a week later, he was nice at first until they cut my exhaust again and bubble gum welded it again. When I told the service manager that it was unacceptable he started being rude. Claiming they didn't cut my exhaust, and he doesn't know what to do about it and that there's no way of fixing my exhaust that they clearly ruined. No apologies, no coupons, no free oil change, nothing to make up for the fact they ruined my exhaust. Worst customer service, clearly lying about damages done even though I had pictures to prove everything. I am so stressed, depressed, angry, distraught, and now my exhaust leaks to remind me everyday of the ignorance of Sanders Ford. This post is long overdue but I've been insanely busy. I wanted to give a shout out to Stephen over here. I was constantly getting the runaround from another local Ford dealership. He went above and beyond to fix my vehicle and put me in a loaner in the meantime. I highly recommend them! read more

Less than 30 days after my friend bought a used Explorer from Sanders' in Swansboro, the engine was running hot. After discussing it with a couple mechanic friends, they felt it was the water pump. She took it to Sanders' service department because it requires special equipment. They didn't feel this was the issue and did a diagnostic check. They found other issues and charged $1,548. When her car was still running rough, she took it back and they told her it would be another $1,800 to fix the WATER PUMP!! Took my car in for warranty service - turned out to not be a warranty repair, so I asked them to put the car in the parking lot & I would pick it up. After dark, drove out of the parking lot and onto LeJeune Blvd and realized that I had no headlights or ANY lights on the front. Had to stop on the ramp to the bypass with rear flashers only on and called them. Since the service dept. was closed she said they would not come and help me back to the dealership and to call AAA. NOT! Got the car back to the parking lot and went in next morning. I'm told I'm supposed to feel sorry for the poor mechanic who diagnosed my problem and then did not check the car, which could have gotten me killed. Never taking it back there for ANY reason, much less something I'd have to pay them for. There are other Ford dealers. read more

We are so happy with how smooth our car buying process was! What really made our experience great was our salesman, Anthony Johnson. He was kind, professional and listened to every one of our needs. He is based out of the Swansboro location but Anthony drove out to the Jacksonville location since it was closer for us. It's very clear that he cares about his clients and truly wants to help you find a car that you like. We will only be buying cars from him in the future. '12 Ford Edge, 107k mi. Brake pedal started to go to the floor. Still worked but with a very soft pedal. Took it to Sanders Ford in J-Ville, NC. "Nothing is on recall for this diagnosis, but you're Master Cylinder is leaking/bypassing fluid. This is why your pedal goes to the flour." -Svc Advisor. Over the phone he quoted $575, when I got there he tried to charge me ~$690. After firmly standing ground with my quote, I got away paying $604. But, upon driving away, the brakes were doing the EXACT same thing after JUST paying $604!! Took key back to Service Advisor. He said, "It also needs an HCU (Hyd Contr Unit $700) to completely fix your problem." After 2 weeks and haggling about the mis-diagnosis-- or could both MASTER CYL AND HCU have been bad together?-- I paid the additional $530 for the HCU & install, that I haggle down from what would have been Christmas finance sacrificing..... Because nowadays I value my serenity more than arguing about something I didn't think I could ever prove otherwise, I walked out feeling a bit dealer raped, but the brakes work again and although it'll affect Christmas a bit, I really don't know what else I could have done, shy of sacrificing my sanity to prove to the dealer a (possible) mis-diagnosis. This process took almost 3 weeks; no apologies from Sanders, no courtesy vehicle offered, nothing. Ended up at about $1140 to fix the soft pedal. read more

SERVICE DEPT: I don't give out 5 start very often but this situation is a little different. I hate dealing with dealerships but Sanders Ford of Jacksonville NC yes you read right Jacksonville. This place has been very good in taking care if my BMW. For an American car dealership they do not try to jack up prices on you just because your car is an import. I have have grown to trust them. Which is hard for me to do especially for a mechanic shop. JB at the Service desk is very helpful and professional. He has been there to help me through two repairs. I always ask for MIKE DAVIS to work on my BMW. I never have a repeat issue for the same problem. My car comes back clean and they treat it like how a BMW dealership would (I don't have a BMW dealership close by). I recommend this place the labor costs are not through the roof either. Financing is also available through FORD for repairs. Thank you FORD for being one of the few businesses in Jackson who actually care about their customers. -Don Thomson 325xi read more

I have a car that I bought an extended warranty for and my issue is covered by this warranty ( which I had to call myself and find out) but to schedule a claim I have to talk to a service advisor and now I've been waiting for days for this magical person (JB) to call me. I've called more than a dozen times to get someone else but "he's our best one!" I've left message after message to no returned call! He's not here or what's your info we'll get it right to him! This place has no customer appreciation and I don't want anyone else to have to suffer and worry about their significant other driving a car that can't be fix because they're to lazy and have 0 initiative to help someone! Went to Sanders Ford this evening to look into replacing the vehicle we lost due to hurricane Flo, apparently you have to have a man with you in order for them to acknowledge you. I'm pregnant, walking around with 2 kids looking at Explorers and Expeditions and not one sales person acknowledged us, however, a couple showed up 15 min after we had been looking and a sales man hurried outside to help them. I even spotted two salesmen standing around chatting with one another and they both saw us but didn't acknowledge us. read more

Anytime you find yourself staring down at a check engine light... we can agree it's not a great time. Compound that with a hectic schedule and a flight to catch and that was my day. I managed to get a scheduled appointment on the website and had my fingers crossed. I checked in upon arrival and spilled the bad news. I have a check engine light, my remote start doesn't work and I have a plane to catch at 1pm. Jeff Daughtry greeted me buried in work orders but calmly came up with a plan. He gets the word to the Service Manager of my situation and squeezes me in for a diagnosis. All in this process took about 70 minutes. Car was fixed and I made the flight. Superior customer service and first class work ethic. Sanders Ford should be your dealer... these guys get it. Thanks again Jeff, you are the man! read more

Don't buy here... I thought I was happy at first when I went here. I did feel like I over paid for my 2019 Ford Edge ST but they went out of their way to let me borrow the car for the weekend to see if I liked it. I couldn't bring it back on Monday and they were ok with that, So Tuesday, when I returned the car, I had decided to purchase the car. There was a brake light out and some paint chips and they fixed those. BUT when I got there and started doing the paperwork, I was upset to find out that the dealership wasn't going to pay off the remainder of my lease that I had. Which by the way, was just about 20,000 miles under the allowed mileage and in excellent condition! I was under the impression that they were going to take my car and pay off the remaining balance of the lease (under $2,000). I felt like I was put on the spot and if I had to do it all over again I would not have purchased the car. It was over $40,000!! After having the car for exactly 3 weeks today, I haven't really been happy with it. So I went on to KBB to see what the trade in value was and was EXTREMELY disappointed!! I feel completely taken advantage of and ripped off!! My trade in value is TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS less than what I paid for the car. Can a car really depreciate that much in 3 weeks?? Anyway, my advice is to go elsewhere or really be a stickler on wheeling and dealing on price. I was told they couldn't go any lower on price because it was a certified pre owned. The people I dealt with were nice and I was impressed, but now I feel like it was pretty much all an act for me to buy the car. I feel like an idiot now........ read more
