The woman in the upstairs section talked me through loads of brochures and because we were after a two stop holiday which wasn't a standard combination for most of the tour operators she had her work cut out. After several phone calls on my behalf she found one company that would be able to arrange what I wanted. Although I didn't end up booking through Thomas Cook (I went direct to the tour operator and saved about 10% on the trip) I feel that their help was invaluable in me ending up with the perfect honeymoon break. Excellent service from a travel agent that really knew her stuff.

It's a fairly small shop but there is always someone there to assist you. Whether you just want books to think about holidays, or would like some more detailed advice on where to book, you will not go wrong by checking Thompson's out. In the time of the credit crunch it is always wise to shop around but this shop will do its best to give you a competitive quote. The staff are lovely and will do their most to fulfil your travel needs, whether that is a caravan in Weymouth, or a five star hotel on the Barrier Reef. Definately worth checking out. Andy is the manager and (according to him) he has developed his team, and therefore his office to one of the top flight centre offices in the country! He can often get very good prices (sometimes beating main airline website prices), but would not recommend going in their with a price from a website and ask him to beat it... he probably can, but this is not what this flight centre is about. To keep it brief, we had a holiday booked to Egypt when suddenly, not long after we booked it and as such without holiday insurance, my daughter was diagnosed with Atypical Tuberculosis and became very ill very quickly. Sarah and Wendy went above and beyond to help sort out my extremely distressing situation with kindness, compassion and understanding. Without them we would have lost a £10,000 holiday with my Mum after recently losing my Dad. Wendy and Sarah always delivered in the time-frames they promised and at times outside of their work hours whilst we were in hospital. Wendy and Sarah are everything a customer service representative should be and deserve the highest praise.
