Andy is the manager and (according to him) he has developed his team, and therefore his office to one of the top flight centre offices in the country! He can often get very good prices (sometimes beating main airline website prices), but would not recommend going in their with a price from a website and ask him to beat it... he probably can, but this is not what this flight centre is about. It's a glamorous outlet - deceptively spacious - unlike any travel agents that I've ever come across previously. Even more extraordinary, given the current economic climate. On entering, you'll see a huge world map, on one side of the wall, stickered with comments from happy travellers. To the other side, there's a comfy and inviting sofa with a plasma screen behind it. Take a seat and you'll be offered a drink, as you contemplate and ponder your next trip. There are only around six staff - with booking screens - in spite of the impressive size of the premises. It's set-up to enthuse and inspire the traveller, with space to dream and inform yourself. On my recent visit I had a lengthy chat and explored some ideas, confirming that one of my dream destinations will realise itself on my agendaone day. I wasn't made to feel pressurised, or ill-at-ease, although I didn't make a booking there and then. Instead, I was encouraged to return and experience one of their special evening events (I haven't had the chance to yet). During 'normal' office hours, it's a 'pure' travel agents (albeit luxurious and super client-friendly) but venture here in the evening and you might find it transformed into an exotic destination, featuring themed dancing and festivities. It quite turns the trend for isolated exploration, from the 'comfort' of your lonely keyboard, on its head and re-inspires enthusiasm for the expertise and input of a real travel specialist. I'll definitely consider returning when I'm ready to book, or if I'm close to the area and fancy a quick 'escape', or some enticing inspiration.

I found the agents in here knowledeable and they were able to advise me about various locations and provide me with a couple of quotes. Cover all the usual holiday options - at home, abroad, europe, long haul, 18-30 etc Bureau de change at back of shop. Friendly, knowledgable staff. Worth a trip here just to pick their brains about the area you fancy going to!

The Kailash Manasarovar 2013 trip organised by the Lumle team was perfect from start to finish…read more Being one of the most difficult pilgrimages in the world, attention to the minute details was critical. Narayan and his team did a wonderful job at it. We had plenty of instructions before the start of the trip and during the trip itself, so that we could be physically and mentally prepared for it. Actually, the trip turned out to be much less strenuous than what we had anticipated. Full credit for it goes to the excellent facilities provided and the very helpful and courteous support staff. Eleven support staff for 28 members is a very good ratio. Accommodation along the way were the best available. We had been informed prior to the start of the trip that some stops in Tibet had only basic accommodation. Actually, they all exceeded our expectations and we were pleasantly surprised to see very clean rooms and bedding everywhere. The 4-star hotels in Kathmandu and Saga were as good as any in the Western world, and probably as expensive as well. The rapid rate of improvements in roads and hotels along the way may mean that in future this trip will have such hotels at all stops. As usual in tours of this kind, the whole party of members and staff became like a big family. I am sure that many of them will maintain the links and communication well into the future. We would be excited if any of the members, who were all London-based, or the Kathmandu and Tibet based staff would visit us in the Land Down Under. "We will slip an extra shrimp on the barbie for you!" Thank you again and congratulations to Narayan and the Lumle team for a well organised trip of a lifetime.
