Eric was very responsive from the get go. He was thorough in explaining the process and what was needed to complete the job...and then some! Eric's communication was awesome from the first time I reached out. He was professional, friendly, and professional. He let me know the morning of when he was on his way and progress getting here (his commute was 90 minutes away). I got a quote for material and he offered to call and get a better price and then I called in to pay for it. What a kind gesture! He and his crew were timely and efficient. Eric explained the process and showed us what he was going to do. When he ran out of material, he got more and when he charged us for the material and trip, he didn't price gouge. He showed us the receipt for the additional materials and that is what we paid. We couldn't be more happy with job and Eric's professionalism. However, the grout should not have been replaced in freezing temperatures. Again it has crumbled. I have reached out to Hunter over a month ago several times with texts and photos, also filed with the BBB. He has not responded. I have paid nearly $15,000 in full. I can't speak for others who hired Venator to do other types of work which may be totally different…read morethan the work I required. I hired Venator to install a 4" channel drain that was to replace an original 28 year old 1" drain that was no longer adequate to collect heavy rains and move it away from my patio. While Venator's proposal seemed to be promising to provide a much needed improvement, the end results were a big disappointment. A concrete opening had to be cut in order to receive the new Spee-D Channel drain along a 25' section of my concrete patio, but they cut the opening too small. They proceeded to trim the Spee-D Channel on the bottom to make it fit into the undersized opening, which compromised the integrity of the plastic channel and wasted time focusing on the retrofitting process. All they had to do was to cut an additional 2-3" strip from the concrete and the drain would have dropped into place as the instructions suggested. After numerous attempts to inform the owner, who refused to visit the site to inspect the work, he insisted the job was being done by "Industry Standards". His main communication was via Text. I kept him informed of the shoddy workmanship with the hopes he would come by to see for himself. That was not on his agenda, even after expressing my dissatisfaction with the job as it was proceeding. I was not given a dedicated day for the work to be done. It seemed like my job was fitted in after the workers finished on a previous job. The two workers showed up at 6pm on day one and worked until 8:30pm. Not being able to finish, they had to return the next day at 3pm and worked until 8pm. The two worked hard doing their job but it seemed like this was an exploration, not a familiar experience for them. The left photo is what the installation should look like if done correctly and the right photo is what was installed, after having to cut the bottom flange on the channel drain to force it into the opening in the ground. Unfortunately, you never know what results you will get from a vendor until the job is completed. I am sorry I hired Venator for this job and I do not recommend him for this type of work.

Concrete Solutions of Atlanta treated us fairly on the price and made things happen that other…read morecompanies said they couldn't do or would be too difficult for them. Our price was far less than other estimates, and when they were done they actually did more and charged us a little less than the estimate because of some minor delays. They also got out and did it very soon after we told them we wanted their services. Many others had long waits before they could get to our job. They did additional services like a nicer than expected cleanup and addition of pine straw where they had to bring their machines and people between the houses. They got us pine bark where they had dug in to the ground and it was bare. They also did several French drains we didn't expect with the estimate. The reason others didn't want the job was because it is very narrow between the houses. They said they couldn't get their equipment through. Even the demo required a lot of manual labor to remove concrete blocks from the prior retaining wall and blocks from the prior patio because of the narrow area between the homes. Paul's crew found a way instead of a way out of taking on the job. It was hard work, and they did it quickly and efficiently. Our patio looks fantastic and the wall is perfect. I highly recommend Concrete Solutions.
