Came here for the first time last weekend with some friends as we were looking for something chill to do. Found a few wineries and decided to visit this one. We had a discount card for 2 for 1 tastings (usually $20 each for 6 tastings from a set menu). We walked away without a bottle, which is unusual for us. Mostly reds here and all were pretty tart and strong with tannins and tabaco, which I am not a fan of. The tasting room was small and so was the available seating. Megan who helped us was great, thus the 3 stars! She knew her wines, the blends, and was super sweet! However, we will pass on this place next time we are in the area, because the wines are not our taste.

$20 for wine tasting is not bad, it's not like Temecula type of fancy winery, but here is chill and open space like a park for family and friend gathering. plus live music once every month. Parking is little tie, come early.

What a nice surprise! Keeping our expectations low, we did not think we would like these wines as much as we did! We weren't fond of the Chardonnay; however, the reds are really good - especially the Barbera and the Sangiovese, which we went home with. We did think the price point was a little high, though. You can buy a selection of crackers and cheeses. There is an outdoor seating area as well, which is really pretty. ** On the day of our visit one of the tasting rooms was closed for repairs, so we are not sure which of the actual rooms we visited, but we tasted wines from both Cowboy Canyon and Giracci. They are located on the same property, but separate tasting rooms.

We thoroughly enjoyed visiting Cowboy Canyon Winery on a beautiful Saturday. We enjoyed the Chardonnay and flatbread pizza (enough for 2 to enjoy. And yummie!) . I could see the other appetizers available. I am looking forward to returning and trying something new. The view was relaxing. I especially liked watching the horses. The staff was prompt and friendly. For a local winery experience....... this place is a must.

Michael you kept your word. It's good here. Nice grounds Horses everywhere Good tasting area Solid fun wine to taste. Return visit is a guarantee If you make the drive once...and it's close by to anywhere in oc. Yes it's a hidden gem Yes bring friends on your first visit because there is no risk to having great wine in a very nice place. Home spun + nice atmosphere = get out here

The owner greeted us the second time we walked in which is a nice change for a tasting room. He was super welcoming and told us all about the winery. The only down size is the pour sizes are a lot smaller than other wineries I've been to. The lay out of the winery is beautiful, theres actually a wedding here today. They have horse stables you can walk into and pet the horses. And there's another tasting place right next door.

We were first greeted by Joshua who gave us a great overview of the venue and how weddings take place there. We walked the expansive site with multiple photo ops and then met up with Liz who gave us a more in depth explanation of the main ceremony and reception spot. We believe this will be where they choose to get married.

I actually love attending weddings and wish the very happy couple the best of life. Marriage is a great institution. It's right off Santiago Canyon Road and across the street from Cook's Corner Motorcycle Bar. If you have an event here on Sat or Sunday you will hear the roar not of the live zoo animals, but the Hogs (Harleys) running up and down Santiago to Cooks. It has a romantic ambiance, but you have to be okay with swatting some bees or flies from time to time. It was hard to get that bee off us eating those delicious lamb chop appetizers... The food here was catered and very good but you can ask them who they like for that. No self-parking, valet only. They will golf cart you to the action and back if you can't walk and you will get a good stair workout too. Definitely a memorable place for a small to medium size wedding or event if you want to be outside. Sundown brings a different character to the place. Many of the guests were wondering what it was like here when the animals were present? For me, my first time here last weekend for a wedding brought me full circle. I have cycled by the entrance to this place over 100 times. Santiago Canyon Road from Cooks to Jamboree is a 15 mile favorite stretch for cyclists. I used to see cars entering Rancho from time to time wondering what goes on there? Now I know...
