I like it and will consider it for a following day. It was a good idea to have when I decide where to place it. I've seen advertisement for 5-6 ft or 6-7 ft and the quality/fullness of the trees seem to varies on the landscapers. This season was also apparently tough on inventory and some of the landscapers I spoke with had trouble getting the trees at the right height we wanted. (I know construction supplies are low too, we've been looking into other home reno projects) Jack was very responsive from the beginning when I first reached out and when I asked, sent me photos, video and even face timed me to show me examples of the trees I would be getting. His brother also paid an in person visit and chatted with my neighbor and I about what they can do and the location for planting. I spoke with a few other landscapers but ultimately went with J&R because they were responsive, straightforward and the price was competitive! The trees ended up looking great, fat and tall and gave me instant privacy!!

One of the most bizarre companies I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. My next door…read moreneighbors have a huge tulip tree with long, heavy limbs hanging over my house. There is no access with machinery, so the tree needs to be climbed in order to do the work. For over three years I tried to get these people next door to allow me to hire someone to do the job, stating that I would not only pay for everything but would also pay to have trimming on their side to even out the tree. They refused, no reason ever given. About a month ago, at midnight, there was a huge crash and I discovered that one of those limbs ( there are four of them) had broken off, hit my roof, landed on my generator and then onto the walkway at the side of the house. I was lucky I was not out there at the time, since I had just taken out the recyclables for collection in the morning and had been right there a half hour before. My village said if I could get a certified arborist to state the tree was dangerous they could put "pressure" on the neighbors to allow me to get someone to cut the limbs. I called Hefferin, they sent a guy who agreed the limbs were dangerous and should be cut and it was agreed they would send that to me in writing along with a quote for the most of the job. I then got an email with a quote of $1600 to remove "dead branches" from my "oak tree". I emailed back that it was not an oak, and these were not dead branches, and I expected something in writing about the danger of these limbs. The email I got back was that they could not send me that letter till I agreed in writing to what they had sent me. She apologized for the error about the type of tree, and said yes, she knew it was a maple tree!!!!! Obviously I was not signing any agreement to have dead branches cut off either a maple or an oak, I know that it has to cost way more than $1600.00 to do what I need done here, and this appears as nothing more than a scam to me. I was told I would get an appraisal of the situation and a price to take care of the problem, and they are playing games. Can you imagine committing in writing to pay for something which does not have to be done and not having the real problem even addressed, let along getting done???? I now have to find someone else who is legitimate. These people are dishonest at the very least.
