Not as advertised... We were told by management that we…read morewould have full hookups and a nice natural gas site within a couple of weeks of moving there (we were told two weeks later that he never said that and it would be months later). Don't be fooled by their blog site, it does not look at all like the pictures. The campground has seen some stuff, it needs major renovation on the grounds, the cabins, bathrooms, and their water pipeline. You do not have full hookups until pretty much the summer time since their piping isn't dug deep enough. Reasons to not go here: 1. Management does not give you a copy of their lease so they can do whatever they want when they want 2. They lie so much to their campers. Context: we pulled into our plot and we got accused of breaking the water pipeline (which did not happen). We were told by a previous camper that the person in that same plot before us had left the water on 24/7 in the winter time and destroyed the piping in the process. While digging up the piping their maintenance guy literally ripped off our water hose and didn't tell us while on a excavator. He tucked it underneath our camper and just went on with his day. We come home to find that part of our water hose is broken. No one returned our calls, no one cared. 3. Poor upkeep. Their bathrooms are great if they ever got serviced. The campgrounds themselves are not leveled out, trash is left behind by previous campers. Their cabins have visible damage to them, cracked doors, windows and porch needs help. 4. Cops. The cops love to lurk around there, some people find this comforting but when they are slowly looking into every single plot in their cars looking for something or someone... I get creeped out. This isn't the first time the cops have been there either. 5. Bar is over the campground. They obviously care more about how the bar is doing than the campground. If they put as much work into the bar as they did the campground they'd have a wonderful campground. 6. Ask around. Other people who have stayed in their campground have horror stories galore about this place. I wish I hadn't have spent my money here for such a run down and terrible service. 7. For long term campers they will stick you right next to the highway on a slope. Not only is it loud but it's windy. 8. A woman was nearly beaten to death in the bathrooms and the cops were called for that. Blood sprayed the walls in the mens bathroom. 9. "Bathrooms are only for the cabins because campers already have their amenities, so you shouldn't need our bathrooms. Those are reserved for the cabins full time but we will allow you to use them since it's broken (our gray tank doesn't work)" -Sacora Station Campground We were judged because we couldn't fix that issue immediately. 10. They charge extra for electricity. They won't tell you this until you get there. Which is ridiculous. A 30 amp camper isn't worth metering. Moral of the story... GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Water pressure strong. Good sewer connections. High Speed internet, 12 to 20mb/sec. Good Verizon 4G signal. Pet friendly to include all breeds...i've seen pits. Bar...loosely restaurant does have specials on certain days. Bad: Mgt lacks tact. All the bathrooms need serious work, more so than the single wide trailer park mgt works on so hard to get people in for revenue. Sites not level. Ok: The campground is by hwy 90, but quiets down at night. The tent section is up on a hill furthest from the highway and quieter. The RV area is down the hill closer to the highway. Dark, and starry night skies at the tents, but much more light pollution at the RV section.

The cabins are small but very cute and air conditioned. There is toilets and very clean and private showering spots. There is free washer and drying machines !! There is an RV hookup spot and lots of room for those. Super affordable and nice for what you get. Awesome spot to stay at for a cozy night. The owner is absolutely amazing. Me and my friends love her.

I would expect this rating to improve as the improvements to the facility continue. We stayed for a week and would certainly come back if we find ourselves in the area. As it stands, here are some pros and cons: PROS- The location is beautiful and very peaceful with great night skies. It's out of town but not too far out to access stores and restaurants. There are quite a few full hook up sites, but for those who only get into an electric and water site, the shower houses are nice. We came late in the season so they needed a little cleaning and maintenance, but they have good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The laundry facilities are free. The machines are a little tired, but you can't beat free! Over the air TV reception is good. We got 15 to 20 channels including the four major networks. The owner, Terri, is very accommodating and wants to make this an inviting facility. CONS- The full hook up sites back up to a road. This was not a big deal for us and the road is not very busy, especially overnight. The water pressure is pretty low and variable. The sites are currently all grass and have no fire ring or picnic table. There is no Wi-Fi. (In our experience, even the places that advertise Wi-Fi still don't have it...). However, we have Verizon cell service and got four bars of signal.

Restrooms and roomy showers were clean. We had a 25' TT and site accommodated our tow vehicle. We had 2 sites a back in (3 nights) and pull thru (2 nights). Beautiful hiking trail behind campground. We had a fire ring and location is somewhat hilly so difficult for handicap to get around. All in all a great location and easy to find. Nice general store on site. Definitely have to get some homemade pie from the Purple Pie House, blueberry, apple and bumbleberry were delicious warmed ip with a scoop of Vanilla ice cream! The Claw Antler & Hide store had very unique and cool items bought antler whistles for the grandkids. Had the best buffalo burger at Black Hills Burger and Bun but go early its very popular!
