First, we are…read moregrateful to PODS Moving & Storage for being able to accommodate us short-notice the week of Thanksgiving. So far, we've only had our POD delivered, moved into, and picked back up from the DC location. Five stars go to our Driver, Justin Williams! He was extremely courteous, kind, and patient with what became a difficult campus drop-off. He came up with creative solutions and was highly professional and communicative with our Family the entire time. We were not physically present for either the drop-off or pick-up, but Mr. Williams very quickly built our trust to put us at ease regarding keeping our schedule. We took off 1 star in this review for the overall experience. That automated system or whatever PODS uses to send customer notifications via text & email does not update in real time. Many times throughout that day, we received emails/texts that conflicted with the information communicated by our Driver, or with the actual status of the move. This was very confusing for us. Also, we ordered the upgrade for same-day delivery & pick-up, and once the Driver's schedule ran late, the notification system kept re-timing/rescheduling our initial drop-off service (triggering new & wrong updates) to make sure it could clock our delivery & pick up for the same day. That was very stressful, because in our case, we could not verify when or IF our POD was actually picked up that evening until we called customer service the NEXT day. (Sidenote: Customer Service did work with us to resolve our issue!) Still, it would be better overall if the actual Drivers could do something to trigger the text/email updates, since they are the ones running the schedule. Hopefully, the second half of our move will be smooth and consistent with the professionalism of the first. Until then, Thank You!

It was supposed to be dropped off on Wednesday, 25 November. I took off work to make sure they placed it exactly where I wanted and I lined up movers to offload the container... I waited... and waited... and waited... only to get a call at 4:16 PM to let me know they weren't going to deliver due to a sick driver... "No sh!t", I say... :-) Now, we are rescheduled for Saturday, 29 November... time moved three times and I waited...and waited....and waited... never showed up, never got a call... So I called and spoke with a nice Customer Service rep So it's, Monday, Dec 1st. PODs System says it was delivered... and it's clearly not... So I called. we're rescheduling for delivery on Tuesday, Dec 2nd... crossing my fingers on delivery... Not holding my breath. Meanwhile, I'm getting delivery charges on my account and the timeline for renewal (14 Dec) hasn't budged.... It's a money pit that you should avoid!!!

I WILL CONTINUE TO INFORM PEOPLE ABOUT THIS SOLOMON MILBURN Solomon M, owner of MDT Towing, approached me when he saw me &my children at a storage unit where he was dropping off a guy's stuff. Solomon refers to his customer who was moving in that day as the "st!inky African guy." I was worried bc I had never used a moving company before due to concerns and fear about people knowing where I live, scoping out my house, & then the obvious which is property damage, and other horror stories I had heard. All of these things I expressed to him & he assured me my stuff would be tied down and that they been in the business for 12 years. Let me add STUFF IS MISSING & broken. I spoke w/ him on 10/15, the day of my settlement, between 8am and 9am, and inquired whether it was too late to get movers. He said no, we'll be at the storage unit at 2 p.m. Now, I'm big on supporting black owned businesses and Solomon and his team showed me more and more why it was a horrible idea. I will never ever! I asked him if he was sure since if so, we could move the timing if necessary to 4. He claimed the timing was great and that I need to pay $40 for holding fee. I had him on speaker phone, and my realtor, title firm, and daughter were all listening. I have pictures of when the invoice was paid and when I notified him that it was paid. I asked him again about the pricing and whether it will alter due to the last minute, and he answered no. He added, "Better yet, I'll give you a discount of $550, with the $40 included." When he first spoke with me a few weeks ago, he quoted $525 and claimed he would give me a discount. At 2 p.m., myself, my kid, & my closest friend were waiting for the movers to come. I sent him a call/text about their location, and he said they'd be late around 45 minutes after I sat there since 2pm. The truck arrived late, as did Solomon, and the movers (2 guys) did not show up until 4. During our 1st talk, I expressed my concerns about movers & asked Solomon if he did background checks while being concerned about theft. He chuckled. I contacted him after 1 1/2 hours of waiting; at this point, he is waiting w/us for his contracted movers after Solomon also showed up late. I told him I had to leave at 4 p.m. since the guys wasn't there to pick up my son & return the Verizon box to kill time. I was only able to pick up my son, never to deliver box back and the movers arrived minutes later. During that time, Solomon asked me could I run him about 7-10 mins up the street to his truck. Again, this is my time wasted 2 hours yet he needed a ride. I should have charged him for gas. Then he gets in the car asking personal questions after noticing my government laptop and card. He then started asking where I'm from and all other questions he shouldn't have asked. Also, sharing w/myself and my BF about how the African he helped got money, etc. He knew too much personal stuff about his clients that he shouldn't have known. During the transfer of my belongings, they had no tarp, straps, or anything to secure my belongings, as he stated--TV, dressers, nothing. My best friend and I did the majority of their labor running up and down the steps. The guy upstairs was throwing my stuff everywhere. Solomon stayed downstairs on his cellphone. We left the storage unit after 530pm-6pm, and just 10 minutes later pulling out of the storage unit, Solomon called to say they needed to stop for 15 minutes to eat. They ate after arriving two hours late. They stopped at WAWA parked near the side and back of the building. We waited 25-30 mins at my house bc they had the bulk of our things. The 2 guys brought items in, we realized that my big screen TV had been severely damaged. Solomon addressed me as ma'am before stating that they worked for more than four hours and that he will not charge me $735. Now, while he behind sat in the car doing nothing, his the short guy asked me why was he there. I told him who Solomon and he said yes. I told him I was not sure because I figure he go to all sites with them and he said no he doesn't go to all the sites with them. Part2- I will use my SM platform to expose them. After unpacking I found broken class from m entire kitchen set. He takes no accountability. Only 2 showed and he said it would be 3. They also asked personal questions and scoped out my house. The owner still had their cameras up around the home and heard the two way talk amongst them. It was a set up.

    We had the absolute worst experience with this company. A window in our bathroom was broken while…read morethe packers were there. They were the only people in the bathroom from a walkthrough with the new buyers, and when we discovered the broken window. We filed a claim to get that window paid for. It was denied. My husband called to dispute that, and was sent to Stephen. I have never, in my life, heard a MANAGER talk to a customer the way this man talked to my husband. He came in extremely aggressive, asked why we think his movers did it. When my husband explained that they were the only people in that bathroom from the walkthrough to discovery of broken window, he responded sarcastically, "Well I'm still not hearing why you think our movers did it." He brought up the fact that the packers claimed I brought them things from the bathroom so they didn't even pack anything in there. My husband told him that was not true, as it wasn't, and the manager spoke over my husband, told him he was being aggressive and offensive. My husband was being extremely calm for the way this manager was talking to him. He insinuated my husband was a liar in a very sarcastic way. He eventually hung up on my husband. We received a phone call a few minutes later that they were cancelling our move for the NEXT DAY. Our things were packed, they were supposed to load it up and move it the next day and cancelled it at 5pm the night before. We had to scramble and thank God found another company that would take us on such short notice. So grateful we did and that we did not have to deal with this company anymore. We told our realtor about this ordeal and she put them on a ban list. We have never been treated this way by a company. The window ended up costing $164. All they had to do was own up to their mistake and pay $164 to fix it, and they would have gotten thousands of dollars from us from the move. Instead, they made sure we will let everyone know about the experience we had, ended up on a Redfin ban, and lost thousands of dollars. If you want to deal with movers who lied about me bringing them items from the bathroom, and a manager who talks to his customers in an arrogant, demeaning way, go with this company. If not, steer clear.

    I got a groupon for Twins Movers so I booked my move with them. I called to book approximately 2…read moreweeks in advance and actually changed my original move date because they couldn't guarantee a time on the date that I originally wanted and since I live in an apartment building and have to reserve a service elevator, I needed to have a time nailed down. They were scheduled to arrive on moving day between 9-10am. Because I didn't received a confirmation call the day before, I called around 945am to check to make sure that the movers were still coming. I was told by the dispatcher that the movers were stuck in traffic but if there was a significant hold up, I would be contacted. I called again at 1030am and was told by a different person that the movers were actually held up at the previous job and that they would be there in a "few hours". I told the dispatcher that this would be unacceptable because I had other things that I needed to do that day and that I only had the service elevator reserved for a certain amount of time. The dispatcher told me that he would see if he could get another crew to come instead and would call me back. When 11am rolled around, I couldn't wait any longer and decided that it would be better to rent a truck and move everything myself. When I called to cancel the movers, they still had not found a crew for me and did not apologize at all for the inconvenience that they caused. I suspect that they had a more expensive job come up that would have paid more than my apartment move. I was very disappointed with the lack of service I received and will certainly never use this company and will let others know about my poor experience here.
