I went here yesterday for a birthday dinner with some work folks.
It's not somewhere that's ever been on my radar, but I've heard a lot of mixed reviews.
First up, they have quite an extensive (and inexpensive) cocktail menu - but took almost 10 mins to make a strawberry bellini and a pint of beer.
The staff, whilst pleasant and helpful, strike me as being very inexperienced - one of the girls I was with asked for a zinfandel, and was met with a blank look.
Most of the booths were booked - which we had done too - but this required a £5 deposit per person, which was (eventually) taken off the final bill.
Being served took quite a while - there didn't really seem to be much in the way of structure in the way staff were organised.
Foodwise, I was pleasantly surprised - I had a cajun chicken burger, which was very tasty, nice and spicy too. If I was getting this again, I'd get a side of fries too - the portion of chips that came with the burger was really small. My colleagues were all happy with their choices too.
I'm not overly keen on either the atmosphere, or decor (v dark) - but the drink was cheap, and the food was tasty and even cheaper! The food bill for 6 of us came to £30.70 - minus the deposit, £0.70! Yep, the two for one deals here are awesome! read more
