I first started coming to D Michael Salon when my now mother-in-law recommended it when I moved to…read morethe area. The stylists here are wonderful to work with and very talented. The salon is always full of life and busy whenever I stop in for an appointment. I love this salon so much that I had my bridal updo and bridesmaids hair styled here the morning of my wedding. Carlia did a wonderful job with my hair and all the bridesmaids looked stunning with their hair too. Selena and Shela are skilled with beautiful and modern hairdos. I'm sure the other stylists are equally talented, although I haven't had the pleasure of having an appointment with others yet. The salon is located in the Norwin shopping plaza so there is always ample parking. The prices are competitive with other local salons in the area. They also sell a variety of Paul Mitchell products. I would recommend this location to all of my family and friends in the area.

The salon itself is easy to access off of route 30 and there is parking right out front. The space is bright, clean and looks modern. There are many chairs set up for styling, a space to the left for nails and a back room with the chairs/sinks for hair washing. The shampoo/blowout was nice. It was an affordable way to get some pampering and it was a relaxing experience. The scalp treatment was soothing and relaxing. They took the time to answer questions and find out what kind of finished look I wanted. Overall, it was a great visit and a salon I'd consider going to again.

My hair is still damaged and new stylists are slowly fixing what they did. My blonde hair was orange and turned out super brassy. My stylist kept adding toner after toner and just made it worse. The owner stepped in after three hours to help but she was unprofessional, rude, and passive aggressive with me. She had the audacity to act like I was at fault and I was being "emotional" because I wasn't okay with orange brassy hair. She made a comment about me turning 40. Hugely unprofessional and intentionally mean spirited.

The options are a cash tip or independently going into Venmo to send a personal tip. The receptionist explained to me that the owner does not want to pay taxes on tip money, so she does not allow her employees to be tipped in a typical way. I'm sure the IRS will catch up eventually, but for now I won't give another dime to a business owner who doesn't feel she owes the community a fair tax burden, and effectively limits the tips her staff receive. Full offense, but don't open a small business if you don't feel its fair to pay taxes.
