Overall this place is a nice stay for a quick weekend away. It's located nearby many restaurants and shopping. It took me a couple of rooms to get one that was really clean. We slept amazingly well here after a concert at Santander Arena. Quiet hotel, with friendly front desk staff. Bar area had some guests hanging out in the evening, we skipped that. Solid hotel choice while in Reading. About 2 miles from the arena, easy drive over or take an Uber for around $10. read more

Although this is new Residence Inn the management is down right rude . It has been awhile, but while I was setting up another reservation at another hotel the draft I started for this location came up. I wasnt surprised to see similar negative reviews from other marriot reward members. The front desk staff seem to forget or were never trained in the Marriott customers service etiquette. they seem to think they can do anything and say anything to a customer...rude or other wise. I interacted with the manager and not too surprissing she had the same atitude as her staff. I am a lifetime Gold member and I have never seen nor experience a staff like they have here. read more

They allow groups of unsupervised children to take over the hotel. We were unable to use any of the facilities or get sleep since they were banging on all the doors at all hours. Parents were drunk and when I asked for a manager I was told there was not one and handed a card. Sent an email to the manager and still waiting to hear back. Not Courtyard standards at all! I'm staying at this hotel weekly for business over several months. Hotel is in a safe convenient location. Rooms are clean, bed is comfortable. Nice having a lobby bar for a late night drink. All staff are friendly and helpful, but the rockstar of this hotel is Cindy. Cindy runs the bistro/coffee shop and always makes you feel welcome and as a valued customer. She also works the front desk sometimes and is just as pleasant. read more

If you have an early morning planned, I don't recommend. Aside from the fact that the customer service employees are inattentive and aloof, there is no complementary breakfast. Having a busy day ahead of me and my family, we headed down to the lobby and grabbed some juice and cereal from the bar, which was laying out in tubs of ice. As we finished our breakfast we were approached by the cashier and told the items we had consumed were actually available for purchase and that we were stealing... I went to pay and discovered that one orange juice and one apple juice, the normal one serving size, 170 calorie bottle, cost me $11.66. There were no signs that informed the hotel residents that the breakfast was not free, and there were no prices displayed by any of the items. If the sound of a sausage egg and cheese wets your appetite, just know it'll cost you $12. read more

Clean and updated. Good sized room. Decor is contemporary. One thing surprised me when I checked in. I asked for a cup of coffee and the girl at the desk said "how would you like to pay for it?" Now this is something I've never come across in years of traveling and thousands of hotels. I could see charging if it's a small lobby Cafe or coffee stand. Basics for a room. Was told by staff that the hotel had run out of shampoo, they recommended the nearby drugstore to pick up a travel size bottle. That was a first for a Marriott brand in my experience, but my coworkers and i are still laughing about it all this time later. Overall though, not a bad place. I can't recommend this hotel enough! My stay was wonderful! My room was clean and inviting, and housekeeping did a wonderful job of making sure it stayed that way. The staff was efficient and courteous. All the facilities were immaculate and well-maintained. But here's the very best thing about the Reading Marriott. When I returned home yesterday from my wonderful stay, I realized, to my dismay, that I had left my toiletries bag in my room at the Marriott! I called them as soon as made the discovery and let them know what had happened. Brittany, the front-desk clerk, said she would bring the matter to Housekeeping's attention. When I called this morning for an update, Mary Ellen from Housekeeping told me that my toiletries bag had been found and that I could pick it up at the front desk at my earliest convenience! I'm beyond thrilled that the Reading Marriott did this kindness for me. Among other things in my bag was a new, unopened pair of contact lenses, and I was desperate to get them back. A million thanks to the terrific staff of this terrific hotel! read more

Breakfast not included. They consider a room for 4 a room with a king size bed and a pullout couch with a twin mattress. Asked for a air mattress and they accommodated us. But it deflated. Asked for another one and it also deflated. Can't wait to get out of here. Thank you Bill for your response. I really appreciate it. Unfortunately it gets worse. We are in a room for 4 yet there were only two towels. Asked desk for more towels, hues what never came. I took towels from the pool so we can take showers. Housekeeping never came to clean. Called front desk again and they said it must have been an "oversight". Bill, you said you hope to make this up on a future visit. Unfortunately, you did nothing while I was there. You only say this to try and salvage a bad review. You should've done something while I was there. Like put me in an actual room for 4. Give me the right amount of towels. Throw in breakfast like all your competitors do. And for goodness sake can you get new inflatable mattresses? I'm not trying to be a pain. Please forgive my frustration. Great hotel beautiful clean and near many restaurants. I stayed here for 2 weeks on business. The bed was comfortable. Housekeeping did a great job everyday. Also there are many restaurants in the area and one right next door. They have a coin operated washing and drying machine and supply complementary soap and drying sheets at the front desk. Also you can request a microwave if you don't already have one. Their glasses are plastic wrapped and sealed. The fire pits outside are beautiful. Also the bartenders are very friendly. Whatever it is you need just ask and if they can't help you they will direct you in the right direction. Almost forgot the pool is large and clean. Also, there is a jacuzzi! Talk about relaxing! Towels are provided. The pool, gym ( I did not use), and laundry room are all together. read more

If you are coming to Reading/Wyomissing a need a place to get some R & R then the Courtyard by Marriott should be your destination. I stayed here during a weekend trip to visit my niece and nephew. It is located right in the heart of this quaint town. Several restaurants and bars bars are a short walk or car ride away. There just happened to be a food truck festival at the VF Outlet Mall right acrosd the street, which was so fun and convenient. The staff was wonderful during our stay. We even received a free room upgrade due to my Marriott Reward Status. The wonderful sentiment was much appreciated after a long drive there. Our room was beautiful and clean. The furniture appeared new and well taken care of. Our suite had a small, chic living room area. The bed was super cozy and comfortable. I didn't want to get out of bed. The shower was so large and spacious. I really enjoyed every nook and cranny of the room. It allowed me to relax and unwind after a long car ride. I didn't get to use any of the other amenities offered due to visiting family and my time in the hotel being limited. I can say the bar area seemed quite lively. When I return I will make sure to utilize that amenity! read more

I love that Reading has a new, clean place to stay when I visit. I'm a fan of the Marriott brand and this place will not dissappoint. The lobby/bistro area is so inviting with plenty of comfortably seating areas and a fireplace. No need to sit alone in your room. I found there were a number of business men and women having mini meetings different areas and yet the acoustics are fine for making phone calls. The staff is very accomodating and friendly. The pool and jacuzzi area are clean and well maintained. The room is large and clean. There is nothing I don't like about my new home away from home when I come to visit Reading. read more

The Courtyard in Wyomissing is well-kept and clean. It offers great and quality amenities. The shampoo and conditioner is the best! There is a bar in the lobby. It is in walking distance of West Reading and it is in a good location for entertainment. I've attended an event there and the space is cozy. The ceilings are high so it provides some open air. The staff was very accommodating and patient. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable! The sheets were fresh and not starchy. read more

My boyfriend and I were in Reading to visit Clover Hill Winery. This hotel is new and clean! The bar in the lobby area was a nice place to hang out and have a few cocktails before we headed to our rooms for the night. The level of service from the staff was excellent. The pool was clean and comfortable and so was the jacuzzi! Gym is about the same sized gym you can expect from any hotel and its equipment was modern and clean. The room was clean. The shower was kinda cool; not your conventional shower. We'd definitely stay here again if we're ever in Reading. read more

This is the second time that I stayed here, so it is safe to say that I like the place. I am not just saying this due to the useable pool and ice machine (see my other reviews). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The front desk got a cab to get me to where I needed to be (Royals hockey game, to watch a hockey game and drink beer). I can not forget to give a shout out to the bartender at the hotel bar. He was great. When I got back to hotel (after the making escape from downtown Reading), I headed to the bar. He was closing up, but he had no problem stoping and getting a round for my friends and I. By the time he was done serving the first round, I was able to get one more in. read more

This is not the highest end luxury hotel. I have stayed in hotels that Sylvester Stallone was in at the same time... this hotel is not that. They have a small bistro, a small gym, and very nice rooms. What set this place apart from the hundreds of places I've stayed at are three things: 1- the towels. I have Never felt softer towels. They aren't super plush, but they are big and SOFT. And in a hotel that is a miracle. 2- the bed. Soft, warm, heavenly.... with a choice of pillows. How you sleep in a hotel has a lot to do with your experience. .. and I slept well. 3- the service. I put this last because honestly it should always be phenomenal. It is actually sad to me that noting friendly, smiling service is remarkable. .. but let's just say.. the Marriott here passed the test. read more

omg heavenly :) This is an upgraded Marriott... flat screen TV's, great beds, and an entertaining lobby. I am the poster child for Marriott. I stay in them every time I can when I travel. I've seen good ones and ones that are in need of being upgraded... but this one is perfect. Friendly Service, a REAL bar, and little food place, and of course.. the market... :) The gym has TV's on the bikes, which is nice, and the indoor pool and hot tub.... ahhhhhhhhhhh ... One night coming home from my client office, they even had a fire going strong in the fire pit outside... I was actually drawn to it and enjoyed it for a few minutes. Last point, they actually have it when you turn on the TV its not that normal annoying lady/guy talking about watching movies form your room.... it is a music station with a screen of colorful lines/designs dancing to the music. Stay somewhere else. This overpriced hotel has a pleasant staff, but management is clueless. The hotel is subject to power outages, sometimes for as long as 48 hours. You get glow sticks for light, but no heat, hot water, or electricity. And they charge you full price for the experience. read more

Not a bad hotel, although everything - from the wifi to the elevators - seemed a tad bit slow here. I will say that it was very clean and the suites themselves were a decent size, but I was a little disappointed that the hotel restaurant/bar closed early and that there was no ATM nearby. They did have a "marketplace" with a few refrigerated drinks and snacks for after-hours, but we had to end up walking to another establishment for a meal. I would probably come back, though, if I needed a room in Reading. read more

This hotel was clean and reasonably priced, for how nice it is. They include water and have a coffee machine. The king beds are extremely comfortable and huge. Everything about it was just nice. There isn't a complimentary breakfast (like I hear the Best Western in Shillington has), but they do have a nice cafe. I was impressed by the overall aesthetic, also. I would absolutely recommend this hotel for whatever reason you are in Reading. read more

probably the best place to stay around this area. we were really happy we chose this place - it's new, so everything is modern, clean, and nice. we didn't get a chance to eat there, but we did drink at the bar one night. the bartender was super cool and the guests were friendly and easy to talk to. the pool area was nice and clean and open til 11p, and the workout room was standard - clean, TVs worked, everything. if i came back to the area, i would definitely stay here again. read more

Very nice hotel. Friendly staff, clean and modern rooms. They have a very nice pool and hot tub, which has an optional Jacuzzi switch. You can't hear any outside noise when you're in the rooms. It is also located in a nice area. My only complaint is that our room view is an apartment building about 200 ft away. But then again I'm not here to stare out the window read more

Ok checked in for Valentine's Day only to have a tv that didn't work, called the front desk she sent somebody up that knew nothing of what she was doing, mind you tv still isn't working called back down the front desk only for Sarah to tell us to unplug the tv then plug it back in which would of consisted of us moving the dresser out or taking the drawers out in order to unplug the tv, No I'm sorry I told her I don't work here u need to send somebody up here or switch rooms with a working tv, sent the lady back up that knew nothing so instead of calling again I jus spent more money and ordered Netflix, then all of a sudden we receive a call from the front desk saying that there is a non smoking policy ok I said but we aren't smoking she said ok and that was it we hung up, at like 11 or a little after in the am the February 15th get a call from the front desk saying they got a email last night about smoking said room 303 said we were smoking said the customer opened his door and said he smelled smoke ok that has nothing to do with us WHAT SO EVER his room isn't even next to ours he can't open his door and see our door so how the HELL did they figure it was us, I already knew there was gonna be a issue when we walked in the look from the lady at the front counter during check in said it all due to our color and when asked who smelled smoke Kenia that works in the am kept sayin well he said this and he said that well where is he why u goin off of what a customer said he don't work here like WTF was that all about I feel discriminated against to the fullest extent I called twice to speak with some one left my number and a message never received a call back corporate is my next step then Lawyer is my next step All off of heat say from a guest that wasn't even next to our room my man is clearly seen on camera goin in and out thru out the night to smoke Kenia knew that cause she even said she saw him outside ok then you should know like it was clearly done purposely they must of thought I'm some young 20 something year old chick that don't know shit from a hole in the wall Wrong I ran A restaurant for 13 years I know how ur suppose to operate they sent a housekeeper up to our room to inspect it she ain't even come in it's like when I opened the door she was frightened when I said Absolutely nothing at all I opened the door for her to smell she ain't come in but told them she smell smoke ur not even in the room lady Elaine I believe her name was never once came in the whole hallway smelled of smoke on the other end come on I guess that was us too I use a breathing machine and can prove that thru doctors excuses if need be,If i smokes anywhere in that room they would have to call the ambulance on me due to my asthma had my breathing machine with me on the 14th also please a phone call about this read more

Quick and easy check in. Clean and nice room. Food was good in the lobby. Banana nut french toast was amazing. Only downfall was the poop that was in the jacuzzi in the pool area. We probably would have rated this much higher had the pool experience been different. read more
