10/20 Tea Event. I would prefer to give a 3.5 star rating. I was disappointed that the event did not take place in the area in which it was advertised (Lord's Dining Room). I was also disappointed to learn that you couldn't swap tea flavors? It's an event centered around tea. I did enjoy the food and the castle is magical. Despite my gripes I would love to go to another Tea event.

Blueberry specialty drink!

Stokesay Castle is another place that is about the overall experience. The ambiance on a night with light humidity & a nice breeze makes it the perfect place in Berks County to chill with friends or that someone special over a martini or one of their specialty drinks! The food is good and they run many creative specials that are always worth selecting. The scallop bisque is creamy & delicious! The entire staff is always polite & friendly!!

First timers here, seeing a show in reading so we chose to eat here before. From the moment we walked in the assistant manager Sherry was super welcoming and smiling. We entered in the wrong door and she met us and let us in anyway. We got there early and since she had some free time she gave us a tour of the entire building and gave us all the old information on the building. The food was awesome from start to finish and our waiter Sean M was also fantastic. She told us to come back in the summer time and we will definitely be back again! Thank you for making our date night worth it!!!!

The place is beautiful, service is horrible.

We waited 45 minuets to be seated. We noticed three to four empty tables but they needed to be clean. After we were seated, we waited twenty more minutes until the server came to to the table to take our order. The place is beautiful and it has a lot of potential but they really need to work on customer service.

Unfortunately, the buffet was very disappointing. The scrambled eggs were overcooked and hard, the waffles were dry, the ham was also dry, and the bacon was cold. The pre-sliced turkey was probably the best item available, but overall, the food quality just didn't match the price point. For what this cost, we were especially surprised there wasn't even a carving station. The salad appeared to be a basic bagged mix, and the pastry selection was extremely limited (only two options), and didn't taste fresh. Desserts were also underwhelming--bite-sized brownies and mini cheesecakes that seemed store-bought and weren't quite the right texture--like they'd been frozen too long. On a positive note, the service was good--the staff was attentive and pleasant. Overall, this brunch felt overpriced for the quality and selection offered. We won't be returning, and if asked, I won't recommend it.

I had fish and chips and well, all I can say is getting frozen bagged glorified fish sticks was disappointing. Now in defense of the club, it was only $11 but seriously, if your a serious eating establishment why would you serve this? My son had the RCC smash burger which was actually pretty good. The service was fine, the bar was mostly empty, which is where we sat. It's a nice bar tbh. Perhaps it's sparsely populated on a Friday night for a reason? It's close and convenient so I'll probably come back, hopefully it will be a better experience. I won't be ordering fish and chips if I do come back.

Both bathrooms are rundown and smell like piss and sewer every time I've gone in there. Draft beer is flat. Miller Lite cans are $5.50 for a 16 oz (THATS CRAZY). While it was a fun time together, and we spent a few hours bowling, the atmosphere was rather run down and outdated. The shoes were overly worn, and frayed, having seen much better days. The decor looked the same as about 20+ years ago. The place was not crowded at all which was nice in a way of not being crowded with social distancing in place... but on the other hand it was disheartening as I remember it being one of THE places to be. If you're interested in a quiet and slower pace without worrying about aesthetics, give it a go as it will definitely be what you're looking for as we had a wonderful time and experienced no difficulties with the equipment. Everything ran smoothly and the customer service was friendly. If you're needing something that's aesthetically pleasing in your surroundings, I'd suggest seeking an alternative so you're not detracting from an otherwise positive experience.
