I don't generally write negative reviews. I give people the chance to make things right and it almost always happens. Sadly, not this time. Check-in went well. There was no bartender so the mixed drinks on the menu were not an option. But things happen and being short staffed happens. The wait staff were all friendly and food came out in a timely manner. There were several little things - like the lotion on the cabinet was used and empty. Coffee cup lids in the room didn't fit the cups in the rooms. Small irritating things but nothing to ruin your day. But the big issue was that the shower was filthy. Looked like some type of bodily fluid was smeared on the wall. It's gross, but again, things happen. We requested it be serviced the morning after we arrived but were told the rooms were only serviced every other day and today was not the day. I nicely clarified that surely since the room was not clean at check- in, the products on the sink were used and such, that it could be cleaned today. Nope. Extremely disappointing and somewhat nauseating every time I walk in the bathroom. Never had a hotel refuse a basics service like this. We are considering moving hotels at this point. read more

I can't emphasize enough how pleased I was with this property. It probably helps, though, that the previous evening we'd stayed at another hotel that was deeply disappointing. That said, it shouldn't take anything away from the excellence offered by this hotel. COVID protocols were definitely in place which was fine with me. Masks and social distancing were required. Staff: Very welcoming, efficient, professional and polite. Services: I suspect that the gym and pool were probably closed due to COVID as I didn't see anyone using either amenity. This was the case at the hotel we stayed at the night before and I have to say that I don't quite get it. It strikes me that you can socially distance and mask up in both places. Oh, well. The Courtyard by Marriott had ample parking and it was free. I often use Hotwire to book my hotel stays and before I got wise, I'd get a wonderful deal that turned out to be not so great when paid parking was factored in. My advice -- always list free parking as a must have! The room: Bright and so very clean, and the king bed was delightfully comfortable. But let's go back to bright. The lighting in this room was actually adequate to the point of being able to read a book or newspaper without eye strain! It happens to be a major pet peeve of mine that so many hotels never have enough light, even with every single lamp and overhead light turned on. Both bedside tables were equipped with plugs and USB ports. Yay. We had a microwave and small fridge and a fully equipped coffee service. You might well wonder why this is even a thing, but at the last place we stayed, the coffee service was decidedly lacking. The Courtyard had an interesting feature that I'd never used before. The television remote was bagged up in plastic, having been sanitized, I guess, but the hotel offered a service by which you could use a QR code that allowed you to use your smart phone as a remote -- really spoke to my inner nerd. I don't think my husband was as impressed so the remote was used, too. Another good thing TV-wise, lots of choices on what to watch. The bathroom: Super clean and very well laid out. The shower was set up so that the showerhead was on one end and the control to turn the water on was on the other. Imagine being able to get the water at the desired temperature without being doused in freezing/scalding water. They provide shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner via pump bottles in the shower and everything was high quality and smelled great. Another thing about the layout that worked well was having a towel on a shelf in the shower area so that it could be accessed without getting out. The towels were nicely absorbent and there were plenty of them -- another "yay" in my book. The Courtyard by Marriott Springwoods Village appears to be pretty new so that could explain, in part, why the property was so attractive, but I don't think it does completely. My impression of the staff was that they really seemed to enjoy working there and understood what the hospitality industry is all about. My apologies for not taking pics. Bad me, but my niece took this one in the lobby bathroom. It made me smile. read more

The staff were very nice at the front desk and bistro. The room smelt musty, had ants in the bathroom and a soiled couch. The Manager did send an apology email but nothing else. I'm an Ambassador member, stay at Marriott properties all the time. This one I won't be retuning back to. read more

New Marriott facility. Still brand new. Inside still smells like a new building. Very clean. Landscaping looks like it was recently put down. Rooms have the more updated & modern design. This facility services more for the business traveler therefore the modern & simple design is ideal. Room is smaller than other Marriott Courtyards' rooms. read more

We have meetings here and get togetherness for groups and it's always very nice and clean. Smells amazing and the staff are always friendly even though we're not booking a room. I've come here separately, with crowds and they still treat us the same. The restaurant/ bar is very good, they have the same servers so we all kind of know each other, doesn't matter the time of day. Super convenient and makes the situation comfortable. It's also close to the movies so if u wana get your drink in this place is a lil walk from the theater. read more

Did I really just give a courtyard hotel five stars? Yes I did. This is a brand new courtyard with absolutely beautiful amenities spacious rooms friendly staff and a nice hotel lobby. See my pictures of the gym. Unbelievable! Not only is the gym huge but they have medicine balls going up to 15 pounds, 4 treadmills, an FTS glide, 4 ellipticals, a reclining weight bench with the full set of weights and a giant TV. In a courtyard! Unfortunately the weather was not warm enough to enjoy the spacious patio with fireplaces tables with umbrellas and a nice looking pool but maybe next time in the summer. the dollar value of this hotel is great and you get much more than what you pay for considering the typical places I stay around here. Ordered a cafe mocha in the restaurant after the first night. Paid for the mocha order with credit card and 20% tip. Then, all the staff, including the front desk person, disappeared into the kitchen. After 30 minutes, the staff returned and took an order from another guest and delivered their coffee. I asked about the status of my order and was informed they were not aware that I ordered. I showed them the receipt & they said they were sorry & would get right on it. They prepped a cup, walk towards the expresso machine then vectored off into the kitchen. When they returned from the kitchen I requested a refund. They did not know how to do that. They got the front desk person after a 5-minute wait. That person fiddled with the cash register for 5 minutes, then confessed they did not know how to provide a refund but offered to check with the manager. After a 5 minute wait, the manager was reported being off site and unknown when she would return. I thought...45 minute wait thus far, could they just make the mocha and it not be 30 minutes. Their response: I don't know. It might not be ready in 30 minutes. Similar restaurant service when I stayed 2 months ago. I guess I didn't learn my lesson. It's a good thing I did not "pay" for the mocha. I only charged it on my credit card, which I simply have to dispute. Then, Marriott accounting and my credit card company can battle for the $7. read more

First things first - the only reason for this 2 star rating is SOLELY because of the young african american male with the glasses who worked the front desk on the morning of Friday 4/23/2021 at about 11:00am. I called the front desk to request a Taxi for pickup at 10:45am going to The Woodlands Mall. The guy says he will order me a taxi, he did not advise the cost of the taxi or ask if I had a cost in mind (I didn't, but not the point). He says he will call when they arrive, I called about 10:15 to order the car. So I go down to the lobby about 10:45, I see the guy sitting behind the desk, so I ask "How long does it take for a taxi?" to which he replied "They should be here any minute." About 11:00am I ask him to call, right as I ask the "taxi" which was NOT a taxi, but more like a Uber Black, a gigantic black SUV, had to be a Suburban, black limo tinted windows rolls up to the front and he says "There they are." I'm kinda dumbfounded, and thinking to myself, this is going to cost a ton, but still, I wasn't going to cancel, that would have been rude and it wasn't the drivers fault I was not told how expensive this ride, all of 10 minutes was going to be. So, anyway, the 10 minute ride (which was very pleasant, the driver was super nice) cost me $40! I was kinda shocked, I mean, $40 to ride 10 minutes? I put the blame on this solely on the shoulders of the guy working the front desk, partially I guess on me too, for not asking, but c'mon who thinks they are going to pay $40 for a 10 minute ride in Spring, TX for God sakes, it's not NYC! As for the hotel itself, it was nice and clean and as aforementioned by a previous commenter, the bed was comfy, and the curtains completely blocked out all the light. It is my hope, with this review, that the Hotel Management see it, and have a discussion with this young man who was working the front desk, because aside from my incident with him, he was also extremely rude to my boyfriend the next day. read more

Great Courtyard! Why is it always the ones I'm only at for one night. New rooms with internet TVs and fancy showers! Quiet location! Huge gym! Friendly staff! Really the only downside was the Bistro on site - staff wasn't the friendliest or the fastest and my vanilla nut oatmeal was just a bowl of oatmeal with all the toppings on the side and no seasoning or sliced bananas. I've stayed in enough courtyards to know they aren't doing it right! However, eat your breakfast somewhere else and you are golden! I will be back! read more

My stay at this Courtyard Marriott has been one of THE most pleasant stays I've ever had at a hotel. The room was FANTASTIC for the price, very clean and comfortable. This place has its positives and negatives. The guy at the front desk was very friendly and informative. It's in a good location close to both 45 and 99. Negatives are the sheets dirty, there were hairs in the shower and mold all over the wall (see photo). Overpriced for how dirty the room was. read more

Great place to stay and reasonably priced. Beautiful and clean. Bathrooms and the room are super clean. Nice walk in showers. The beds were comfy, and clean. I was here on business but if I were here for vacation I would stay here again. I recommend staying here, the staff were great. My key didn't work right away and staff let me in my room. They went to replaced my key for me and returned with a new key. They also have a bistro and serve Starbucks coffee. read more

I stayed here March 9, 2018 for a night. Since my flight got in late, I decided not to go home & wake up everyone and coughed up $100w/tax for a bit of decompression. This hotel is relatively new w/somewhat modern finishes. The bar closes at 10pm, bummer. They do sell beer in their commissary, but you have to purchase by midnight. Their bistro isn't bad, but found their menu to be on the limited side of choices. They brew Starbuck's coffee for purchase. This hotel is 8 miles from my home and I will stay here again if I arrive late in the evening from the airport. There must be a dozen USB combo outlets in the room, even the light fixtures are USB compatible. The only con I found was the shower head is fixed and not a hand held. read more

One stay was actually 2 stays - first and last: - I had a reservation for a 2 bed, handicapped accessible room. However, when we arrived, a 2 bed, handicapped accessible room was not available. We instead had a regular room, which was an issue with my wife who has MS. I was told that we did not really have a reservation for a 2 bed handicapped accessible room, but it was merely a 'request'. If i had known that a 'request' was not the same as a reservation, i would not have even considered this property. We were moved to an accessible room the next night, but my wife was certainly not comfortable the first night. - when we did get to an accessible room, the toilet was normal height, not an elevated height common to most ADA rooms - housekeeping service was sketchy each day, one day no coffee service was left, next day no bathroom floor mat one day, etc. Felt like the housekeeping crew was inexperienced, poorly trained, or new. Will not be staying here again read more

Booked this room last minute as an unplanned escape. Pros: - A/C was great. - Bathroom was nice, bright, and big. - Nicely decorated - With the exception of some hairs on the little sofa and on the bathroom floor, it was clean (nothing that grossed me out). - Little sofa was cute and comfy. - Microwave and fridge were convenient. - Location is easy access to the freeway and Exxon campus with a CVS and gas station/convenient store within walking distance. - It's in an attractive wooded area with occasional deer sightings and also has some nice sidewalks for walking. Cons: - Bed was too hard for my preference. - Soda and protein bar cost just under $10. - Breakfast is not included which is unusual for hotels these days. - Noisy.* *Around 12:30 loud music woke me up. It was a Friday night and I was in a room over the outside gathering area so I figured there were people gathered there, and assumed the music would die down around 2 or 3am. However, the music continued and wasn't turned off until somewhere around 7:30-8am. All night I would fall asleep for about 15 minutes at a time, just to be woken up again by the music. Normally I would have brought it to management's attention. However, given that the outside gathering area is is close proximity to the front desk I assumed the front desk knew of the situation and gave the benefit of the doubt that there was some special occasion or celebration going on and I didn't want to be the party pooper (for once). Upon checking out I questioned the front desk clerk as to what celebration occurred during the night for the music to be so loud and found out that there was no celebration; that the outside gathering area is on quiet time starting at 10pm (or 10:30...can't remember which she told me). Anyway... She told me when she arrived for her shift that morning she noticed that the lobby music was " really loud" and she had to turn it down. She explained that the lobby music also plays to the outside speakers, which apparently is what I was listening to all night. Basically I paid over $116 to lose 7 hours of sleep. The only resolution to my complaint was to admit the music was loud but she turned it down when she arrived that morning for her shift. My thoughts: Gee thanks for the sleepless night...I could have stayed home and saved myself the $116 mistake. Note: I would have rated this hotel 4 stars. I give a lot of credit to feeling safe and having a clean room. The 1 star deduction would have been for not including breakfast; a hard mattress; and overpriced snacks. The loud music all night and the desk clerk's lack of resolution is the only reason why I'm rating it one star. After all....the purpose of a hotel is to sleep...and I didn't get any. read more

Stayed here for work for about a week. The bed is super comfy and the bistro downstairs is really convenient. I didn't use the gym or pool, but had a nice stay regardless. My room was clean and I was also able to access my Netflix acct from the tv which was great. read more
