Status and loyalty doesn't mean anything these days.

Horrible bed. There is a indention like someone sleep in the same spot for 6 months straight. When I brought it up the front desk I was told they had no rooms to move us too and a mattress was on order. That's it. Now we will have to see a chiropractor for a few weeks to get straight again. Not sure how nobody has noticed this before. Ridiculous. Status and loyalty doesn't mean anything these days.

We only stayed a night. The room was clean and comfortable. Checking in and checking out was a breeze. Best thing about this hotel is that the location is surrounded by a huge outlet mall just across from the hotel. Fast food and restaurants are also nearby.

This is the nicest (moderate) hotel I've stayed at in years! Stay there if you get an opportunity!

Worst Marriott experience I have had... The overnight clerk was horrible. I booked a room, checked in via the app, and got delayed. In fact, I didn't check in until 5:00 AM. I also had to book an extra night. The overnight clerk somehow could not understand that I was checking in REALLY late, and refused to believe I had a 2 night stay. She tried to tell me I would have to check in (mind you, after an overnighter) after 3 PM. Even after I showed a screenshot of my confirmation...she was still reluctant. Then "their system went down" and she made me wait 5 minutes for keys...and when I finally got keys, they strangely didn't work. She took her sweet time making replacements, which actually DID work. She wasn't wearing a name badge, but it was 5 AM on Sept 14.

I stay at 20+ Marriotts a year and have the elite status because of my stays. This is hands down the dirtiest. Our bathroom had old soap in the shower with pubic hair on it, pubes in the the corners, everywhere! I felt like I was a Brazilian Wax boutique. Ironing board was left in the middle of the room, the cabinets open. Staff is young and could care less. I would drive the extra 15 minutes to stay at a different Marriott.

We were put in a handicap room because they got our reservation wrong. The room has moldy shower curtains, AC that doesn't work, water damaged ceilings, and no water in the entire hotel. The ice machine works but that's it...

    Moldy fridge that didn't work

The fridge was moldy and didn't work. Have pictures. Luckily they had one to change it out. I asked for room to be cleaned when out and said I was on the list. Never cleaned. Had to go down to get towels and items needed. Front desk lady who worked that Friday night was super rude and hung up on me three times when trying to just let her know our ac wasn't working. I was simply asking for a fan as the easiest option. It was for my spouses birthday and we had our two kids. Was told breakfast was included yet there wasn't anything but cereal. I even paid for the breakfast as an extra. Very disappointed. Especially all the Marriott I have stayed at this has been the most upsetting and terrible experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at this Courtyard Marriott in San Marcos! We played a show that night and Austin and honestly it was nice to get out of the city and to this quiet hotel only 45 minutes away! The staff welcomed us warmly and made every effort to make us feel comfortable! Big shout out to all of the staff for their stellar customer service! I loved how modern and fresh the entire hotel feels! The rooms were very clean, spacious and provided a welcomed respite from our travels on the road. We all found the beds to be extremely comfortable! So much so that we had a hard time getting out of them in the morning! In the lobby there is a great sitting area and a small restaurant and bar. So great when you want to grab a bite to eat or drink without leaving the hotel. We also made good use of their fitness center which was fully equipped with up to date machines. If you are looking for a friendly, safe, clean hotel in a great location I would highly recommend staying here! #SponsoredPromo #Courtyard #Marriott #SanMarcos #Texas #HotelStory #Entertainer #TravelIgnite #Musician

Recommended! This hotel is great! I didn't expect a Courtyard hotel to be so nice! We paid too much ($180 for a night) but that's what we get for waiting until 24 hours before our stay to book it. The check in process was quick. The hotel is very modern. The room was large and had a couch, desk, fridge, and lots of counter space. The bed was comfortable and large. I loved the mural above the bed. The bathroom was awesome. The shower was huge and clean. I loved the feature of the shower where there was a shelf area that was accessible from the shower and the sink area. It was the first time I'd seen that in a shower and it was so convenient. The hotel was really convenient to the outlet mall. We shopped there once even thought that was not the purpose of our visit. There was a back road to get to the road that led to the outlet stores, so it made for easy access. I would definitely stay here again!

Ok, walking in to this place everything seemed great. It sports the typical Courtyard decor and layout. We were greeted and taken care of, per usual of my Marriott experiences. Walked on to the room, everything looked good, clean. This Marriott uses your room key to turn on the power in the room. I experienced this setup in Europe years ago and wondered how long it would take the US to get on board. We had a double queen room. Plenty of space, outlets, etc. There was also a fridge in the room. However, getting the fridge to work was touch to. There are 2 buttons in the fridge, one for quick chill (cools for 2 hrs at a time) and one for....i forget. Anyway, it was heck to get the thing to turn om. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didnt. The biggest negative was the a.c. It's not calibrated appropriately at all. I had it turned to 70 and had to get up in the middle of the night twice to get it to the right temperature. Had to turn it to 65 to feel like 70 and leave it on high fan instead of automatic, though it still blew when it wanted to. We only stayed one night, so no time to really complain about it.

    Poorly thought out AC setup

Nice looking Courtyard. I am a Platinum Elite Member. I have seen quite a few Courtyards. Putting the key into a slot just inside the door of the room to activate the electronics is stupid. Entered my room and it was not comfortable. It's June in Texas. AC was not on. REALLY??? I was told to put my key in a slot just inside the door to activate the electronics. Why? Seriously, why? Does not benefit me. Just aggravates me for no good reason to me as the customer. I have been in the room for about 3 hours and the temp has dropped about 5 degrees in the room. Hopefully my picture of the AC set up will attach. Who was the designer of this room? The AC is covered by a shelving set up that blocks the AC from entering the rest of the room. Just stupid. Maybe the designer/architect should experience their design in Texas in the summer. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!

I was so thrilled when they built this Courtyard! It's right across the freeway from the Premium Outlet and centralized near tons of restaurants. The staff is friendly and the hotel is modern. I love that they serve Starbucks and the breakfast is really good too.

She likes things that are different most of the time so I thought I'd try a bed and breakfast with her and was able to find the Crystal River Inn, listed as a 3 star hotel on the travel sites. Seemed to be a discount and I found out why later, but everything worked out fine. This place is just a few blocks away from Texas State so location-wise for us was perfect for our tour the next day. Very easy to find and it's also just off the downtown square so right in the thick of things and allowed us to "check" out the area pretty easy. The reason for the discount is that one part of the hotel is being renovated and so only about half the rooms are available. We stayed in the portion they call the Thomas House. Now we got there on a Sunday evening and so no work being done. There is some bustling noise on the street which mostly goes away by sundown. Also some foot traffic as there seems to be students walking back and forth for various retail spots. Very cozy and quaint rooms however with their own bathroom. One of those small town places where you just pick up your key on the table amongst the other keys for expected guests. Open parking in the back and easy in and out. Supposedly there is a ghost there that likes to mess with the temperature but the thermostat was blocked off and it was quite nice throughout the night. Though my daughter is into that we saw no ghosts that either pushed us down the stairs or helped us up them according to legend...LOL... Has a coffee station for the morning which is help yourself. You can hear other people moving around in the other rooms but nothing too terrible at least on this night. We did not need anything but there was a contact number and the innkeeper apparently was on call if necessary. I think a cozy place. Decor was very nostalgic and man the bath water was nice and hot and plentiful! I don't know that I would call it a romantic getaway place as the surroundings aren't idyllic; but it was a great alternative to the regular motels/hotels for not much more. The bed and pillows were worth the extra 20 bucks....LOL.... I think we got the night for $120 and after all those taxes it was about $144. Don't mind staying there if we are out that way again.

This pace is a danger to the disabled, elderly and basically anyone. The backyard is a hazard for tripping because it is so uneven and even has dips. The railing on the extremely steep stairs is too wide for someone who is disabled and can't grip it properly. The entrance in the back has broken and uneven bricks, again a huge hazard. She had the nerve to say to me that they looked at the cameras and I was walking perfectly fine which is so untrue, it's shocking. I had to take my shoes off and scan the floor to be able to walk. I had to call Hilton so they could connect me with this hotel because apparently Hilton has a mystical magical phone number that works. The parking situation sucks here too. Don't get here late because you won't find parking, and when you do, if one car parks too close to the line or over the line, this pushes all the cars into other parking stalls in an already small parking lot. The best is when you walk up and someone is smoking a blunt in the parking lot by the dumpsters as you walk your 11-year-old through to get to the lobby. The elevators are also frightening here too. They shudder and shake as you ride them, and you pray that you will survive the trip up to your room. Of course, the hotel staff doesn't tell you when they shut down the elevators either, so you may be stuck on your floor if you can't use the stairs to get down to the first floor. As for the rooms, there are marks all over the walls. The beds are uncomfortable, and the rooms smell. Our room looked like a crime scene all over the walls. I would understand this hotel being in this condition if I paid Motel 6 prices, but I paid the price of a typical Hampton Hotel, and what we got was a roach motel. I am so sad that I wasted my money on this place. I stayed here years ago and it was a beautiful hotel. Now this place looks like it is on the same level as a rundown Comfort Inn in Chipley, Florida, which was just as disgusting. Won't be coming here ever again.

The construction was not too bad, but in the common areas it was loud. The hotel itself is huge. I was not expecting that. The rooms were spacious and accommodating. In terms of the conference, the staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. The room (s) I stayed in were newly renovated. On night one, a loud clackity clacking noise from a panel near the closet was notable. I assumed it was the AC. The noise was not constant so I figured I would manage to sleep through it. When I got back that afternoon, the noise was not detectable until I started to doze off. At which point I asked for a new room. Chelsea was so nice and accommodating. She managed to find me a new room and hooked me up with snacks... Clearly, I'm easy! Didn't have any problems for the rest of the week. The renovations are nice and bright. I was happy to see that they didn't have that same 90s carpet! Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and the conference areas were lovely.

She originally spoke with one of my business associates and then she blew him off when she found out he does not have a lot of honors points. Then she spoke with me and deemed I was worthy to talk with because of my point balance. She began to describe the promotion. I asked her questions about it because I wanted to know more information and make sure I knew what to expect if I were to accept the proposal. At first, she said it was okay to ask questions. The next moment she started talking down to me and was very rude telling me if I had to ask questions then this wasn't the promotion for me, and when I did not accept the promotion at the time of her discussion, she dismissively stated I must not like to travel and rudely turned her back. When room service came by on day 3, I asked for replacement towels. I gave her our 5, and I had to ask twice to get 5 towels back. 4 of the 5 she gave me were tiny, scrawny pool towels. We took those to the front desk and asked to be sent 4 bath towels. Front desk explained they were short on towels- which seems like a management issue- again, why I think the lack of effort is a staff issue, the apathy/low expectations roll downhill. Room service only delivered 3 more towels to our room (totaling 4, not 5); but we managed, as it was our last night. Hallways are dirty, floors and doors. I never saw or heard anyone cleaning them.
