Stayed here during the Thanksgiving weekend. Location is close to Clifton Hill and not a far walk from the casino. The room looked new and clean, with lots of space. The jetted tub was great. Plenty of parking available but unfortunately it is not covered and there is an additional fee. Another downside was no complementary breakfast available for the price paid. Just checked in. It is within walking distance of the main strip which feels more like a boardwalk, with the good, bad, and the ugly. This is a newly renovated hotel. The rooms are very nice and clean! The main doors to the hotel require guest key to enter. There seems to be ample parking outside. It appears like there is nothing open at the hotel- no breakfast on Mon-Tue, just a bed to sleep in. I can't put my finger on it. Maybe it is off season in April. Or maybe it is the first Marriott that does not offer complimentary water! They don't provide it at this hotel, I was told...But it seems like something is missing at this hotel. read more

A nice looking hotel lobby with the Keg Steakhouse attached to it. There's also a large pool, arcade, and laundry facilities on the main floor. Our suite was dated but very big, with a whirlpool tub. The TV was too small, it had lots of fuzzy channels, and was only standard definition. The king size bed was comfortable with average sheets but we were unable to sleep. The room became very hot at night (80°+) and I could do nothing to cool it down. The room windows did not open. We called the front desk and they said the hotel was switched to HEAT ONLY for the winter. They suggested to turn on the bathroom exhaust fan, but that rattled loudly. They also suggested to open the tiny vent under the room window, but that was far too small to do anything. Needless to say, the rest of the night still felt like an oven. Location wise, this is only a 15 minute walk from the Falls. There's lots of parking on site. read more

I'm going to try and keep this short. This Marriott wasn't up to par, my families room wasn't ready and we arrived an hour early. After two hours or so, we were upgraded to a presidential suite. Their living room was gross and they only had a king sized bed. The person at the front desk knew that we are a family of five. We ended up returning our key and had to wait till night to get the room we first reserved. This building needs to be updated and they need to fix the structure of the building. In the bathroom one of the tiles from the wall fell off. Their elevators reminds me of a sling shot. Overall, there are much better Marriotts in Niagara Falls. read more

My daughter booked the hotel and she decided since you really are not in a room to much that we would stay at the Marriott Courtyard. It was less expensive than most of the other hotels around. We got a beautiful huge room with a totally amazing view. From our 8th floor window we could see the falls both side the tower and the skywheel. If you stay here ask for a room facing the falls it is worth it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spotless and as i said huge. Another great thing is the hotel is within walking distance to almost everything. I would highly recommend the Marriott Courtyard to anyone staying in Niagara Falls. Stay there for the solar eclipse trip. The room is clean but overall the hotel standard service is not as good as other courtyard. We are their life time platinum member. First no free continental breakfast in the morning. Second there is lack of toiletries like cotton swap, shower cap like basic things. We stayed for two nights so we don't need daily clean up. However even no supplies replenishment unless we asked. Some basic hotel service is missing. read more

The Courtyard Marriott has recently been renovated and I must say it's amazing what some fresh wallpaper will do! The service at this hotel is great and I'm giving them an additional star this time because I continue to book at this location... clearly, I'm a fan! There are plenty of hotels in Niagara Falls but I seem to be continually drawn to this one. The rooms are clean, the service is great and they have pretty good deals running throughout the year. We always choose the deal that includes a $40 Keg credit and breakfast buffet for two. This year it was $149 ($159 with a Jacuzzi)... we didn't upgrade but received a Jacuzzi suite regardless. Come to think of it, every time I've stayed at this hotel I've received a room with a Jacuzzi and fireplace. In the lobby, they have a place called the Marketplace where you can pick up any items you may have forgotten or perhaps some light snacks and beverages. There's also complimentary coffee. Just a side note: The 3% TIF fee you see on your bill for parking, room charge, etc, is a voluntary tax and you can ask for it to be removed. I wish I had've know this sooner. I'm Canadian... believe me, I pay enough taxes as it is! read more

We stayed here as a couple to have some downtime away from the rest of the family during a short trip to the falls. We were able to get early check-in, which was nice. The hotel lobby does smell like chlorine, which is to be expected since there is an indoor pool, but I really didn't mind it at all. The location is great and within walking distance to the main attractions and to some decent food options. We stayed in a deluxe king room which didn't have any photos on the website, but we were very pleasantly surprised when we opened the door since it seemed to have been newly remodeled and had up-to-date amenities like USB plugs on the outlets and guest sign-in on the TV for Netflix/Amazon Prime/Youtube/etc. The view from the room was very meh (city view turned out to be a view of the parking lot and the dumpsters) but we weren't too concerned with that since we were doing plenty outside the whole day and just wanted a comfy place to rest. Bed was comfortable, shower water pressure was fantastic, and overall, it was very quiet. Would stay here again if we ever find ourselves back here. read more

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. The staff was extremely nice during the whole entire stay. We received an upgraded room upon check in thanks, to my husband's elite status. Our room was located on the 9th floor with a jacuzzi, a tiny washroom (toilet) and also inside the smallish closet was a shower. We both couldn't locate the light switch so the shower itself didn't have a light inside of it. It was illuminated well enough while showering with the other lights that were available. The walls were paper thin and could here the annoying neighbors yelling and screaming when they rolled in from the bars. This was unpleasant and could also hear them inside their rooms talk amongst themselves. It is centrally located to food, the falls, and shops. read more

Great Experience! We booked directly through this hotel, not through the Marriott Reservation Line because booking through the actual hotel allowed us to be exempt from the extra occupancy fees. We had 5 adults booked for one night in June, and upon arrival, the staff was phenomenal, they provided a quick and easy check-in and even offered us a free upgrade because I was booking with my members rewards card. We usually stay at one of the two full-service Marriott properties down the road from this Courtyard. I could not get a room at either of those properties last night, so I decided to stay here instead. It worked out great. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. I was upgraded to a suite upon arrival due to my elite status. The room was spacious and the fireplace was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the internet was extremely slow and the room was freezing all night. I would stay here again, but only if the full-service properties are booked or they are overcharging for a night. read more

The best things about this hotel are its spacious rooms and location. However, this location disappointed me on a few occasions. First, it took 10 minutes (at least) for anyone to even acknowledge us when we arrived to check in. Then, the hotel employee was clearly irritated we wanted to pay for our room in cash and asked us several times if we wanted to use a card. We booked with AAA at one rate, but were charged $30 more and could not get a clear explanation as to why. We did have to provide a credit card for a $75 deposit to cover any damages, which we did not anticipate, and were told it would not be reimbursed to the card for 4-5 business days. The WiFi, while free, is difficult to connect to and be prepared to wait for an elevator. read more

Things didn't go quite as well as we had planned for our vacation. We ended up in Canada later then we wanted. Also the original roomed we booked was a nightmare from....well, you see were this is going. Lucky for us "Courtyard" was to our rescue. We gave them a call and they could accommodate a party our size. They told us everything would be the same in price so come on by. We quickly made our way there and it was definitely a upgrade as far as aesthetics are involved. The staff was also friendly, but remember, this is a business. They talked good to get us here, but when we arrived they told us it was more money. They explained we would have to pay for a extra day because of our late check in. We left a awful place that was spacious with two bathrooms, to a beautiful place that was more expensive and smaller, with one bathroom, go figure. But I definitely felt more comfortable at "Courtyard" so it was worth the money. I just don't like to be blindsided, with hidden fees just to get my business. read more

It's a Courtyard, so don't expect much. No continental breakfast, and no valet parking either if you'd rather just park yourself. No view of the Falls, but there's a lot of activity within walking distance. The only two elevators also seem to take forever, but there are 11 floors here so that probably explains it. It's clean, obviously cheaper than hotels overlooking the Falls, and The Keg steakhouse is located right in the lobby. If you're a Marriott Rewards member and enjoy steak like me, that means more points. But I recommend The Keg overlooking the Falls at the Renaissance. If you eat there, however, the Marriott points are non-transferable to the Courtyard. read more

I had a nice stay here. I booked online using points and it seemed to be a smooth reservation, as with all of my SPG reservations. There is a lot of parking out front, but note that it is $14/night for the parking, which was not waived even with status. They did however automatically upgraded me to the junior presidential suite with jacuzzi. I was thankful for that. My room wasn't available until 3pm, which was fine. I did notice that there was no door service to help with bags or to check the bags until the rooms become available. It was fine because I had a car parked out front and it was easy enough to just throw it in my trunk. The room was clean, however has a bit of a 90s feel to it with the yellowed wallpaper in the hallway, and actually yellow tinge on everything. Even the in-room jacuzzi had a yellow tinge to it. There was an issue with the toilet that kept making flushing or dripping sounds, and when we mentioned it to the concierge they had it fixed while we were away. I asked for late check-out, and the person at concierge said he couldn't guarantee it, but said to call back at 10am. Well, I really wanted to just sleep in, so I didn't want to have to call back to check if I can stay later. I just accepted the noon check-out, which was already late enough. There's a Keg at the bottom of the hotel, and a Denny's across the street. It's a very convenient location if you want to go see Clifton Hill, and walk to see the falls. It's close to the older Casino Niagara. The Clifton Hill area is fun, and full of attractions for the whole family. read more

"No frills hotel, decent value, needs renovations, close to attractions". Received a great deal to stay here for the week! I chose it because it had the whirlpool tub and a city view, which it did, so no complaints there! We had a perfect view of the city scape - the huge ferris wheel, the dinosaur miniature golf, Victoria Avenue & Clifton Hill sites. Where was the flair of the place? I can honestly say, there was not much of any. I was not looking forward to going back to my room each night. The lobby decor was warm and inviting, which presented the illusion that the rest of the hotel would be the same. Read on... Upon check-in, I think I just got the least-friendliest staff member of the bunch because she seemed highly annoyed during the check-in process. She was very short with me and did not seem pleased, when she was talking to me and answering my questions. I just wanted to get the check-in process over and done with. Where they lacked was the interior of the room that was in serious need of renovations; it was a bit outdated. The bed... I did not feel like I was sleeping on cloud 9... more like the ground, unfortunately. My daughter utilized the pull-out bed that was highly uncomfortable as well. Thankfully, I brought an extra blanket for her that added a bit more cushioning to the bed. As for the whirlpool, it took forever to fill-up and was extremely loud! Everyone who travels to Niagara falls knows how much hotels can cost. Being a frequent flyer of Niagara Falls I have stayed at my fair share of hotels. The last few years though I have noticed that the Courtyard Marriot has been the best bang for the buck. Always great deals that include multiple vouchers (dinner, breakfast, winery, shuttle etc...) This makes me feel that you are getting much more than just the room. As for the hotel it self I give it a 4 star for the sole fact that some of the rooms can use some updating but lets be honest when in Niagara you don't spend to much time in the room. The service gets 5 stars as all the employees are super polite and always willing to take that extra step to please you. I will continue to visit the Courtyard Marriot as longs as the deals keep up. read more

Stayed during Christmas 2016. Was upgraded to jr suite - one king bed, one pullout sofa bed + jacuzzi (bath tub with six jets) from a regular room with 2 queen beds. Thought it was a good deal however the pullout bed was not comfortable so ended up with a bad back. So if you need a proper bed, don't go for any pullout ones. In hindsight we should not have accepted the upgrade. Also they charged a TIF or tourist improvement tax of 5% to our bill. Note that this is not a tax but a hotel fee that you can refuse and they will refund or reverse it. In our case I had to call and ask their manager to reverse it. Thanks to CBC marketplace in YouTube which exposed this unwarranted fee. Upon checkout I even asked if they charged such a fee and the lady with glasses said they don't. I called after checking out after seeing the CBC marketplace YouTube video. On the call, the Marriott reception said she wasn't sure they could do it and transferred me to the manager. He promptly called me back and charge was reversed. We will see once the bill comes up on my card Room was bigger than other hotels. Two star due to the bad pullout sofa bed and the TIF fee. This was our first time in Canada. I picked a jr presidential suite with the whirlpool. The room was clean, bed was memory foam(felt like), not really a view- could just see the city, the staff was very helpful and friendly. We had breakfast at the KEG Steakhouse - fantastic food and service. All around this place was great and I was very pleased with everything. I look forward to coming back. We arrived at the hotel prior to check in time. Understandably they did not have a queen room ready yet, so we were given a complimentary upgrade to a king jacuzzi room. Check in was quick and after asking if we needed parking she wrote "1-11" on a card and gave it to us and told us to display it on the dash. She didn't mention the parking fee but I imagined that even though the eleven didn't have a dollar sign in front of it, it was probably a price. Next, my wandering mind reasoned that maybe 1-11 was a parking space number, since there was no dollar sign. I'm sure the fee was on the Marriott app when I booked, but if it was I didn't notice it. $11 for parking was on the folio the next morning, but it was the cheapest parking rate we paid on vacation, so all in all not a bad deal. Upon unlocking the door to the room, I smelled a damp odor, which was probably the jacuzzi. We used the wifi without any real issues. My rewards preference of extra feather pillows was not honored. As another Yelper mentioned, there was a drain in the main room area, and even if someone was showering in the bathroom with the door closed, the drain made noise in the room. There were restaurants within walking distance and one on site as well. We stopped in the Keg for drinks on a Tuesday and they were a little overwhelmed behind the bar, but had a nice selection of beverages. Overall the room was pretty clean and I would stay at this Courtyard again if I found myself in the area. read more

We stayed here for 2 nights. The room itself was nice. It had a whirlpool jacuzzi in the room in the part of the bathroom that was open. The only section behind a door was the toilet and shower stall. There was a coffee maker in the room and a fridge, but they did not have a continental breakfast. The bed was comfortable and the A/C was quiet. The thing we found most frustrated with was the Wi-Fi. It was included in our room and just did not work. This was unfortunate since we both have an iPhone and were planning on using that to figure out places to go. They do have a LAN line in the room that is very short so your laptop must stay at the desk. They do have a community computer by the check-in area if you need to print anything. There were 2 pools (indoor and outdoor), a hot tub, sauna, little arcade and a gym. All of them were sufficient for the hotel's size. The location couldn't be beaten. It is within easy walking distance to Clifton Hill and many restaurants and souvenir shops. It is also within walking distance to the Falls themselves. I would recommend this hotel to someone who doesn't want to pay a ton of money to stay in a convenient area in Niagara Falls. read more

Great hotel! Great area! Lovely staff! Hot tub in the room, and room was nice and clean and tidy! There was a decent power setting on the hair dryer (usually drives me mad as they're always on a crap one setting only) and there was an ironing board and iron there with plenty of wardrobe space! Only problem I found, if I was to be picky, was there were no dressing gowns which, to me was an issue as there are no changing rooms down by the pool so I had to quickly dry and come back up in wet clothes to shower .. Not a big deal really, just a little awkward to have no changing facilities connected to a pool/jacuzzi! And then with that, no gowns to take down with you.. Also another detail, our room DID NOT have a falls view! Other than that, exceptional, all staff are so nice, even the cleaning staff greet you with huge smiles and big hellos, and the restaurant connected to the hotel is the well known "The Keg". Which is personally, our favourite restaurant, and I loved it! Was great to stay there for valentines dinner instead of venturing out into the bad snowy, -0 weather! I've stayed here a couple of time and both stays were just OK, there was nothing special about this hotel it actually looks really bad in my opinion from the outside and their interior is nothing to write home about either. But the rooms are very spacious and they have a Keg in the lobby and that restaurant serves a decent breakfast as well. Me and my friends have also hung out at their bar (it's associated with the Keg) in the afternoon and their bartender was very friendly and chatty and knew how to handle a bunch of guys looking to get their drink on. Drinks were not cheap but not skyhigh either. Their location is not amazing but Clifton Hill is only a few minutes walk so you're a little ways away from all the bright lights and noise but the Fallsview Casino area is a bit further away but still definitely walkable. The staff have always been friendly, there might have been one front desk staff member that was not amazing but that was a while ago and on my last stay everyone was friendly but nothing over the top you might get at a full Marriott or Hilton. The rooms I mentioned are spacious, and their beds are comfy but other than that there's nothing else great or modern about this hotel, it is in much need of a renovation as the age is showing. We did ask for connecting rooms and while they managed to get that done on our first trip, they failed on that front the second time around even after having it as a note on our reservation well in advance. But they do offer competitive rates that's hard to ignore. It is a lot of pros and cons if you stay here, but if it's within your budget I would recommend it. read more

I'm a Marriott rewards member. I've stayed here several times this summer. This time, for some reason they tried to charge me before I arrived and my card was declined so they canceled my rooms. They had space for one night but I'll be forced to switch hotels for the next night. It seems that they have no sense of loyalty to anyone who is a faithful customer. Very disappointed! Came in around 12pm (a head of check in time at 3pm). I was told my room would be ready soon and that and early check in was no problem. They had suggested I take a walk. No problem. I am early anyways. I come back at 3pm. This is when the documents said it would be ready and not before as I was told. The workers say its not ready for me (3 hours ago). And that it would be soon. It wasn't until 1.5 hrs later that I was given a room. I had to check myself. I asked if I could be contacted and they said no. That is not how the system operates. Here's the problems; - No apology - No remorse - They did nothing to help us cope. We had to wait in the lobby This is the worst feeling. It is Labour Day weekend, so the hotel was not cheap. They serve you like you are going to a motel. Common guys! This is why I didn't go to a motel in the first place. I felt no empathy from them. When I told them my concern, I was told "so? you got a room now right?" So disappointed. Very upset at myself for suggesting this place. I didn't feel this way before. A pretty aged Hotel which doesn't have the glamour and elegance of a Marriott Hotel anymore. The room seemed clean but very, very aged and used up. We had a jacuzzi in the middle of the room. Nice, but kinda weird, because it just doesn't fit to the room concept. The service at the front desk was very fast, but more in a "we have so many customers and have to hurry" way. Not unfriendly though. Location of the Hotel is good. If we come back to Niagara Falls we'll probably try to stay in another hotel. This one is not worth the daily rate. read more

Victoria Avenue is the Wisconsin Dells of Canada! In what is becoming the no frills hotel business these days, this place follows suit. The rooms have a strange design flaw, they have a drain outside the bathroom. When ever someone is taking a shower, in your room or a near by room, you can hear the water running the drain. Also (and this being a pet peeve) the sink is outside of the bathroom, so when you decide to shave the whole room gets to share. The hotel is located within walking distance from the falls, which is great. Once you park you car (for ten dollars a night), you can walk to everything you need during the stay, The free WiFi is great, but you need a password for every device in your room. Get them when you check in otherwise you will be running down to the front desk to get additional passwords. One more note. This area of the hotel rocks all night. If you want to take a nice quiet walk, do it early in the morning, no one is out. read more
