Disgusting to me that management would allow a room to be sold not changing the bedsheets to fresh linen

Our room was very generously sized and the kitchenette provided an impressive amount of counter space. I was very appreciative that we were allowed to bring our dogs, it turns out that Residence Inns are pet friendly! There is TONS of parking including pretty close to the side doors. Check in was seamless, there was no line and it took about 2 seconds. Part of that was because the person didn't provide us with any info whatsoever regarding the hotel or the breakfast or any amenities. Contrary to another review I am seeing here, there was no traffic noise and there is no "major highway" nearby. There is a street adjacent to the hotel but I didn't notice a lot of traffic. We could barely hear anything from our room. The bed was soft and comfortable. The shower was spacious with a moderate amount of water pressure. There was tons of space and countertops for me to put my gazillion toiletries. There are also two restaurants within very minimal walking distance as well as a dunkin donuts. Wawa is a short drive away and you can be certain I made myself very well acquainted with the staff here in just a few short days. The 2 stars is because on our last night (thank god it was the last night) I was returning from my last pee before bed when I noticed a baby cockroach crawling on our bed, its little likely disgusting feet caressing the sheets that would proceed to place near my face. Needless to say I killed it and promptly flushed it down the toilet but was horrified by that experience and spent the rest of the night wondering how many others were hiding.

We had a simple meal consisting of a Fiesole Burger with Egg and Linguine & Clams. The food was good. Our server was attentive. Our only issue was that there was a regular patron who was very loud and vulgar. We were initially seated at a table near his party and asked to be moved to another table so that we would not be assailed by his foul language.

As we got there very late, almost before closing at 10 PM, I wanted something light. I opted for French Onion Soup and the Harvest Salad. With tax and tip, the bill came to $40! My friend had a full entrée for only $3 more. I would go back again, strictly for that soup. The first version that came out, they forgot the cheese. I don't know how you forget the cheese on onion soup, after all that's the central component, but once they put the cheese on it was absolutely phenomenal! It had a very rich broth and was not salty, as some of them can be. I will repeat that it was outstanding. The salad needed a magnifying glass to find the components aside from arugula. Butternut squash was chopped up ridiculously small, as were the pecans and whatever else was in there. It was basically a plate of arugula. For $18. I keep harping on the price because I can't believe that I had soup and salad for $40! My friend did enjoy her Chicken Francais. It was a large portion and she ate every bite. If I want something light, I will stop in again for that soup. There are many good places in Skippack, so I'm not sure I would come back for another reason.

Please see my review for the Blue Bell Country Club on their yelp page. Jeanette who helped us book our room block was also very responsive and kept me up-to-date as to how many guests we had on our block. She even added guests who did book rooms but we're missing from our room block list, so we could make sure that they received a gift bag at check-in. I only wish that the site was a little bit easier for guests to use, they did give us instructions on how to enter the group code, but it was too much to print out and give to our guests, and even if we did there would still be confusion. So I'm really happy that she did her due diligence, and looked up as many guests as possible and added them to our block. Karen, the venue manager at Blue Bell Country Club was a total sweetheart. She made my drop off appointment quick and easy. She also made me feel very welcomed and special on my big day. I received everything back at the end of the night. I was a little bit anxious, that certain things would get forgotten, but they did a great job of making sure that everything was collected and put on the bus. Emily the Farmer's daughter restaurant manager was very easy to work with and planning our after party which was a big hit. So glad that we did that. We reserved the dowry room at the Farmer's daughter inside Normandy Farms hotel. It was a little bit extra money to have it, but it was so worth it because a lot of people, including myself, didn't really eat at The reception, because they were so busy socializing and drinking. So having that extra food before bed to help sober up and not go to bed starving was a very nice touch.

Loved the crab cakes and mashed potatoes. Every single staff member who we walked past said hello and were extremely professional. Everyone had a blast.
