When I walked in, it felt high class, as well as comfortable. I needed a cab to pick me up to get a short ride to something up. I went down to the front desk, because I was unable to call out on the phone in my room. The desk clerk. George Harley, worked tirelessly to find me a cab; all the while greeting guests and answering the phone. George finally got me a cab. It'd been grueling - 14 phone calls and George having to deal with rude people on the phone during the process. It took a long time, but George finally DID get a cab to come and pick me up. It was a tough situation, however there was no giving up. George was also quite personable and down to earth. This gave me an very impressed feeling about this hotel. read more

Everything. Front desk less than friendly and hard to understand. No one even said how to access the wifi. Elevator made weird creaking noise which was concerning. There was a crapload of mattress's piled high in the back parking lot. The A/C in the room was confusing to figure out how to use. It also took a bit of time to cool down. The water pressure on the showerhead wouldn't adjust and popped off. The bed was overly hard and uncomfortable. The day we checjed the breakfast area was yellow taped off and unavailable. I am an HHonors member of many years and love most properties. I have never had a poor experience until today. I had to cancel my reservation today at last minute as my reason for travel was canceled due to COVID of some of the participants. I only found out this AM which is less than the cancellation policy allows - had I known yesterday, I would have canceled then. They would not refund my $$ and thus they are robbing me. this is not very businesslike and I wouldn't stay at this Hilton property again when I travel to that area. read more

Here it goes, there should be a way to rate a hotel 0 stars because 1 star is too many for this hotel! But since I have to give a star then 1 star would suffice just due to the fact that the staff is friendly and the 24 hour coffee in the lobby stayed hot and fresh! I checked in late Saturday early Sunday morning because originally I was not getting a room, I was going to go home; but i ended up checking in, and I was given room 211. Around 5:30am i was awakened out of my sleep, due to feeling like my arms were on fire and itching like crazy! I turned the light on and looked at my arms and noticed they were red, swollen, and had bumps on them. So I jumped out the bed, threw the sheet back and low and behold there was a bug crawling around fast. I grabbed my phone and recorded it. I got dressed quickly and went to check out, showed the front desk the video I had of the bed bug crawling around aimlessly on the bed, and then I showed her my arms which were swollen and red, she was very apologetic, provided me a refund, and apologized some more! What I realize is the hotels cannot tell at times I guess when a person might bring something in with them. It is quite possible that housekeeping won't even notice while cleaning since they have a strict timeline for how long they have to get a room ready, but NO ONE should leave a hotel swollen and bitten! I had to purchase cortisone and benadryl in order to help alleviate these symptoms! I have never been bitten by a bed bug, never even saw one...but now I've been bitten by one and I am suffering for it. No matter what hotel you stay at, check the beds, check the sheets, bring lysol, protect yourself!!!! read more

I recently stayed here overnight after attending a nearby event. Everything was just fine, certainly nothing special but it met our needs. The bed was pretty comfortable and the room was quite large. The only issue I had was the almost comical amount of hair on the bathroom floor. I thought I was on candid camera or something because there were tufts for days. We stayed only one night at the beginning of August as we were passing through the area, and we had a very nice stay. The hotel decor is attractive and clean looking. Our beds were comfortable, and breakfast was good. All of our interactions with staff were friendly. Even my children commented on the organization and cleanliness of the breakfast area and the friendliness of the staff. I took off one star for the following: 1. Even though the room was mostly clean, I noticed a little dirt and hair behind the bathroom door. That tells me that housekeeping cleaned the floor, but didn't bother to close the door to clean behind it. 2. As I passed the front desk on my way back from breakfast, two employees behind the desk were having a conversation, and one was obviously telling the other a story, which didn't bother me. In the course of the story, however, he cursed, using the f word. I found that to be unprofessional, especially for someone behind the front desk. 3. Like I said, I enjoyed breakfast, however I was puzzled at the provided bananas that were green-- REALLY green. They should not have bothered to put them out until they had ripened. Thank goodness that I had not had the opportunity to read some of the horrendous reviews that were posted in previous years. I would not have stayed here if I had known. Second stay at this property, probably last. The staff was okay at check in, not overly friendly. What made this stay horrendous was the cleanliness of the room. The coffee carafe was cleaned with a pine cleaner, the only clean item in the room but it rendered it useless. As the night went on I noticed more and more areas of disgustingness. Hairs on the toilet, funk in the shower, a child's handprint on the window, dirty floors. It appears that this room may have been dusted and vacuumed, that's it. My husband and I stayed at this hotel during a visit to PA over the past weekend. Our son was getting married and things were stressful to say the least. From the moment we walked in, we knew we had made the right decision in choosing to stay here. We were greeted warmly by the gentleman at the front desk. In fact, the entire staff was extremely polite, helpful and friendly. Our room was spotless and comfortable. Everything is up-to-date and convenient. Our room had two nice comfy queen-sized beds with luxurious bedding. We also had a mini fridge and microwave (both came in handy when we had some take-home food from our visit to a local restaurant). The television was large and the latest model (often not the case in some hotels believe it or not). The bathroom was modern and the shower head had several pulse settings (great on sore, tired muscles). The room also came equipped with a blow dryer, iron, ironing board and safe for guest's convenience. The cleaning staff did a fantastic job of coming in quickly to have everything spotless before we returned to our room each day. We certainly were able to make the most of our free morning breakfast. There was a wide variety of delicious hot and cold foods for us to choose from and the coffee was wonderful - it actually tasted like coffee! I would highly recommend the Hampton Inn in Limerick to anyone looking for a comfortable, immaculate and super-saving hotel (we got a GREAT deal when we booked ahead of time). Fabulous! Was in town for work and showed up around 11pm. Was assigned a room and made my way up to the room. When I got to the room the first thing I saw was three large holes in the wall filled with crumbled Sheetrock. I then went to the bed to check for bedbugs as I always do. Good news there were none, however there was BLOOD all over the pillow cases and top sheet. Furthermore the blanket and fitted sheet also had yellow stains and just clear stains which looked like old semen stains. I called the front desk and was apologized to and assigned another room. I was in town only two night and was going to be working the majority of the time. Went up to a new floor where I got off the elevator and was sticking to the vinyl flooring outside the elevator. I got to the room and it was wide open deadbolt closed and room open to everyone. The wifi keypad was also in pieces on the floor. Again no holes in the wall but there was BLOOD and yellow stains all over the bed. Pillow cases, Top sheet, and fitted sheet. I was totally disgusted. As well under the fitted sheet there was a ton of long black hairs that were also all over the bathroom. In the shower and sink. Worse yet under the toilet seat there was feces splattered all over the underside of the toilet seat. I DONT like to complain but this was disgusting. I am a diamond member and spend plenty of time on Hilton properties. This was by far the least clean of any of them. Everywhere was neglected not just the rooms. I doused the room in lysol and tried to sleep. Complained in the morning again and the front desk people couldn't care less. All they did was slip me the general managers card and said to call her. This hotel is very poorly managed. On Sat. July 8th in the afternoon, we had to wait over 30 minutes to check in. The hotel was fully booked, but penny pinching management decided to leave one exasperated junior employee in charge of the whole hotel. We were heading to a wedding reception and these delays resulted in over 20 people missing the cocktail hour as well as the wedding shuttle bus. The kicker was I had already checked in online using Hilton Honors which guarantees immediate check in, but the hotel had no one at that section. read more

It was okay. I have stayed here several times and will probably stay again, but the breakfast in the morning was not as great as it was during my past stays. It was one of the major reasons I chose to return. The food didnt even look appetizing and the omeletes and roasted potatoes were sitting in an unappetizing pool of water. I chose to head to the Wawa down the road for a pre-made breakfast sandwich there and coffee... because the hotel coffee urns weren't refilled. I know, staffing is hard and I get it, but if you plan on coming here because of the free breakfast, I suggest you plan for a trip to Wawa instead. Two friends and I stayed here on a road trip through Pennsylvania. The stay was very accommodating of a last minute booking and we got a fantastic deal. The owner was extremely friendly and wanted our stay to be the best possible and it certainly was. After walking around Philadelphia all day this was the perfect place to relax and continue our travels. The pool was very nice on sore muscles and the fitness room was the most up-to-date I have seen. It had the standard treadmill and dumbbell set, but also included a vary of medicine balls, yoga ball, fitness mat, and is the only time I've seen an all purpose weight machine. The rooms were a great size. The beds were super soft and great after a long day. The continental breakfast also offered an assortment of great options. I would most certainly recommend this hotel to anyone. read more

One word: AWFUL. Although the pictures look great, this hotel is NOT clean. The room I was given was disgusting. Bed sheets weren't cleaned/changed & stained, the shower was gross, dirty bathroom floors, leftover pizza still in the fridge, carpets had garbage throughout it. I had laid in the bed after a long drive and upon leaving, I was itching already. I was here for work, checked in and WITHIN AN HOUR, I had complained, checked out and moved to the Courtyard Marriott down the road. Worlds apart. In short, our room was disgustingly dirty with a soiled toilet and stained bedsheets. An attempt to re-accomodate us resulted in another room that had another set of stained bedsheets. Here's a summary of events: We made a reservation at Hampton Inn Limerick hotel from July 3 through July 9, Monday through Sunday. We arrived and checked in around 7:45pm on July 3, Monday. We open door to our room, suite 227, and immediately smelled a foul odor like someone had just used the bathroom. When we walked in to the bathroom, it was obvious that someone had indeed used the bathroom - the toilet was disgustingly stained and clearly not cleaned. We dropped off our bags and walked out. We notified Zoe who worked the front desk. Zoe informed us that housekeeping had left for the day. We informed her that the dirty toilet was not acceptable. Zoe kindly said that she would clean it herself, which we appreciated. We left to visit family. We returned around midnight and were glad to see the toilet cleaned. We went upstairs to suite 427 to visit cousins until about 3am. We returned to our room, took a shower, and before climbing into bed, we realized that the bedsheets had hair and stains on them. The bed was clearly not cleaned and the bedsheets were used. This was our first night supposedly. We notified Zoe requesting another room, and she gave us key to room 300. The bed was even worse; we found more hair in this bed that was supposedly clean. We asked Zoe to come upstairs and see it for herself. Zoe informed us that she can use a lint roller and clean the hair off the bedsheets. You read it correctly. I am not making this up. We informed her that this was unacceptable. We checkout of hotel around 4am. Upon check out, Zoe informed us that she had to charge us for one night because technically, we checked in on July 3 and checked out on July 4. This was our third stay. First time was fine and we returned a second time last September when we had housekeeping issues too, but they were resolved satisfactorily. Never again. read more

Wish I could give this a 5 star rating. On late arrival, had to wait 15 minutes for registration clerk to check us in as he was too busy showing something to other people in lobby on their smart phones. And during this 15 minute wait, we were "entertained" by three hotel staff members eating the cookies for guests and complaining about having to work a "double shift". Needless to say, it appears hotel staff needs reminded to keep personal conversations in secure areas away from guests ears. Room was good size and beds comfortable. But even though there were yellow post it's on each of the queen bed headboards stating "clean sheets, pillow cases and comforter for our comfort", our bed linens were never changed during our 5 night stay. When leaving our room for the day, encountered 2 housekeeping staff outside our door and asked if they were going to clean our room next and they informed us since we were "stay over" guests, another housekeeper would be cleaning our room, not them. Also, we could hear every toilet being flushed in rooms on either side and above us. Bathroom clearly displayed a sign indicating if "you have forgotten your toothbrush, razor, shower cap, etc" just contact the front desk. When I needed a shower cap, front desk told me "no we don't have that". Also, there are no restaurants near this hotel, unless you consider Wawa or Subway restaurants. On the postive, complimentary breakfast was hot with choices of cereals, waffles, muffins, fruit, eggs and breakfast meats. Hotel is close to Rte 422 and car dealerships if you're in the market for new vehicle. read more

We haven't been to Limerick PA in many years having moved out of the area in 2005. This hotel is relatively new and in a convenient area. The rooms are a good size and the queen beds are comfortable and well furnished. The only complaint I have is the pool heater was not working and the water was freezing (our kids were looking forward to swimming) and all three treadmills in the fitness center were broken (mom and dad were looking forward to getting a workout in). We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area. read more

I stayed here at this hotel one time before. I was informed by an employee that they clean everything with just windex. Only use actual cleaning chemicals to kill germs on the sink and toilet. So everything else that is obviously touched by people in the hotel rooms are not sanitized properly or wiped down with a sanitizing chemical. Also, when I was there I saw a housekeeper doing that because the door was open. When I walked passed her cart I saw the bottle that said bleach and then just a bottle that said windex, so that made me feel that it was a confirmation of what the employee was telling me when I saw that. I was also informed by the employee that the duvet which is the comforter cover(that can be removed to be cleaned) in the hotel rooms are not stripped every time someone checks out. That if there are no stains that appear visible they do not change the cover(devet) on the comforter. Also, if there are two beds in the room and the bed looked like it was not touched or the bed looked like it did when a person checks in , which is a made bed, that they do not touch it because since it still looks made, that it means no one slept in it. Which may be fine with some people but what if someone laid on it or whatever, I feel in my opinion it should still be stripped and have clean sheets put on it every time someone checks out. The towels in the bathroom if they appeared that they weren't used they wouldnt take them out and put fresh ones. They would always clean the toilet but if the tub/shower didn't appear to have hair or visible marks that would indicate it was used they wouldn't clean it. The managers wanted the housekeepers to rush while cleaning. The manager didn't care what they did or didn't do in the room as long as it appeared to be clean even if it wasn't fully clean irsanitized. I had some issues pertaining some other things and I needed to speak with the manager, the general manager Adam was so unprofessional actually kind of started raising his voice on the phone saying that he cannot help me that it's not necessarily his problem because he's hasn't been there for long and that only the owner can help me and the owner Gary never makes himself available, even when I left my name and number he just would never call me back. I'm writing this yelp review mostly because I was informed with all these things about how the cleaning is done and for the most part it appears to be a well managed/clean hotel but they truly do not clean their rooms properly. They don't sanitize anything properly. Some people may not care but in my opinion that is not okay because if I'm spending about $100 or a little less for a room, I would expect that everything is cleaned properly. Because hotel rooms have so many germs and so many different kind of people that come in and out of the rooms and it really needs to be cleaned/disinfected properly. read more

Had to stay here for work. Everything else that was a Hilton property nearby was booked. It was a mediocre, at best, hotel in need of room updates. I was greeted by dead, almost petrified hydrangeas in the planters out front. The landscaping beds were full of weeds. Obviously, management doesn't care about first impressions. I got a lukewarm greeting at check in. I was 11:30 PM, id been driving for hours. A bottle of water would have been nice, especially since their vending machine doesn't take credit cards. I was greeted in my room by a burned out overhead light. I was mortified when I pulled back the comforter and found old blood stains on it. It was completely disgusting but it was late so rather than cal the front desk, I slept with just a sheet. When I checked out in the morning there was a woman ahead of me complaining about housekeeping. The guy at the desk was basically telling her to call corporate. When it was my turn, he didn't even bother to ask me how my stay was. If he did, I would have told him it sucked. read more

Let me start by saying that I would never recommend this Hampton Inn to anyone. I am a former business traveler with Hilton Diamond status, and have stayed at my fair share of Hampton Inns. While the age and decor of properties can vary pretty widely, the customer service is typically, consistently top notch. While this Hampton appears like a nice place, the service is absolute crap. I stayed here in February 2016. We arrived, checked in, and the interactions with the front desk were fine, though certainly not up to typical Hampton standards. The room was clean on arrival, but after an hour or so, it was getting incredibly hot. I checked the thermostat and confirmed that it was set appropriately, but the heater continued to blow hot air. I turned the thermostat off, and it continued to blow hot air. I called the front desk and they said someone would be right up. So we waited. And waited. And waited. I walked down to the front desk, expecting there had been an evening rush and they were busy. Nope, empty lobby. The front desk staff (playing on his cell phone) admitted that he completely forgotten about us. I asked if we could simply switch rooms, but he insisted on coming to look at the thermostat. So he came up, fiddled with the thermostat, and explained that they break pretty frequently, and this one appears to be broken. I stated that we would need a new room, and he agreed to move us. All of that, while not great, would have still garnered a 3 star review. Flash forward to April, when my in-laws stayed at this property. They reported that the front desk staff was rude, and that despite their requests for service, the room was not cleaned during their stay. They wrote to the manager, who failed to respond, and eventually contacted Hilton corporate, who gave them a voucher for a free night. (Whatever happened to Hampton's money back guarantee??) They're back in town this weekend and booked two rooms, planning to use the voucher for one of them. The first pair of their party checked in and went to their room. In the meantime, my in-laws presented their voucher, and were very rudely told by the front desk that it couldn't be used since they had prepaid for the room. They asked to speak with the manager - the same manager that was there during their last stay - who maintained that they couldn't use the voucher, as the room had already been paid for. My father in law asked for their names (so he could reference them specifically when contacting Hilton corporate), and only then did they finally offer that they could void the transaction and take the voucher. Meanwhile, my brother and sister in law, already in their room, found only one towel, along with a used bar of soap and shampoo in their shower. Clearly, it had not been cleaned. The rooms were refunded, voucher thrown away, and they are now at the Holiday Inn. read more

I would definitely not recommend this hotel. We had the worst experience of our lives and we did not even get to check in. We arrived late Thursday night with a reservation that allowed us to check into our room online. When we arrived at the hotel around 10pm, there was no one at the front desk. There was a sign on the counter with instructions to call a number for service. Since my hands were full, I had my daughter call the number. She called and hung up immediately telling me that the person in the other line yelled at her as soon as she requested help. I then called the number myself and requested help. I could not make everything that was said but understood someone was coming. A short while later a man comes out of the elevator yelling about how he is the only one there and that he does not need any attitudes. I told him I didn't have any attitude and only wanted to check in. He continued to rant loudly and I told him not to yell at me raising my voice to be heard. He then refused me service, locked himself in the managers office and called the police. Who know what he told the police but they arrived in two cars. I told the officers what happened but they honored his request to not allow me to check in. I had them wait until I was assured that the room was not charged to my credit card and if it was that the money was refunded to me. I was not able to get any verification from the manager. I then had to deal with Hilton customer service in my car. As I sat with my daughter in my car in the parking lot trying to find another room, an officer approached my car again. Apparently he got called again and had to make sure I left the property. Unbelievable!! The most unprofessional hotel I have ever seen as a frequent Hilton Honors Gold member. Tried using this hotel to block rooms for my wedding. Trying to communicate with the manager, Jayson Miller, waste of time. I emailed him as told by the staff. Days passed heard nothing so I called several times each person not very friendly and simply told me he is busy. I gave it one last shot and finally spoke to someone who really tried to help me. Her name was Brenida, probably mispelled. She located Jayson and asked him the questions and called me back immediately. However Jayson gave us horrible prices. When I looked online to book for that exact weekend. It was Much cheaper than what my guests were offered, and by hotel standards located on the website, blocking rooms with them we are gaurenteed best pricing and lower. I contacted Brenida and she looked herself and saw the prices he gave were high, she was very sweet and asked if I could call her the following day so she could present the information to Jayson. However I was over dealing with this and dealing with the back and forth. I contacted the holiday inn express right down the street and was immediately dealt with then and there given a great price and all questions answered. So just simply went with them because of how swift and simple they made it for me. I thought about contacting Hampton inn and trying for a better price but thought to myself, if Jayson the manager treated me with no respect and only 1 of the 5 employees I spoke with treated me well, I really Dont want my guests dealing with the unprofessional and unfriendly staff either.
