I have stayed at a lot of Marriotts and this one just didn't live up to the brand. First off they couldn't find my reservation just by my name and they were super rude about it, making me feel like I was doing something wrong. I found the reservation number and she was appalled that I was right. Then the hallways smelled like smoke. I then checked in to my room where it wasn't very clean and very outdated. The AC unit on the floor looked like it had never been dusted or the filter had been changed. The bathroom had all super cheap fixtures and one thing was already broken. The ice machine looked incredibly dirty and gross. It may be convenient if you are going to a concert there but that is about it. read more

We stayed here about a month ago. When our navigation directed us here, we were uncertain if we were at the correct location because the sign outside is itty bitty. Luckily, we did notice it when we pulled into the parking lot and it wasn't obscured by the greenery from the road. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the parking lot. We had a very comfortable king size bed with a kidney shaped sofa and ottoman, desk, and a very basic bathroom. While it was clear that the bathroom needed work, I appreciated the fact that the sink and vanity were separate from the toilet and tub. It made getting ready easier! We appreciated the bar area, and had a very friendly bartender who went by Azrael (I think??? Not sure we ever got her name?). She was witty and had us laughing while pouring our drinks. The next morning we ate breakfast at the Starbucks cafe. It was decent. I am very picky about my food. I ordered scrambled eggs with avocado, quinoa, spinach, and parmesan cheese. My husband ordered scrambled eggs, bacon, and homefries. The portion sizes were very small for what we paid. This hotel suited its purpose for our stay. We were here for one overnight to attend a wake and funeral. It is situated inside of an industrial area near the highway, and sadly, there are many homeless people living nearby in the woods that abuts the property. They are in the process of renovating this property, so perhaps with a little dazzle it can morph into a five star rating. read more

We were visiting the area and needed a place central to the towns we were visiting; this was smack dab in the middle of those two towns. The rates were good for the weekend we were staying and it's really close to downtown Concord. Parking was spacious and check in was easy. Our room was on the second floor and had two full sized beds. It was a standard room with a mini fridge, coffee machine, and TV. We had a balcony which was a pleasant surprise. The room seemed clean; the bathroom sink was outside of the hallway which was a little outdated. The room was quiet, I didn't hear any traffic or neighbors. On the first floor, there was a lounge area, a cafe that served Starbucks, and a mini convenient store. The woman who helped us was nice but she didn't make my espresso martini correct; it tasted like pure coffee liqueur, it's not worth the $13 something. The pool was indoors with a Jacuzzi. The gym was a good size. Overall, we had a good stay and experienced quality for the value. I would stay there again. read more

Checked in to the hotel and encountered very pleasant staff; however my room wasn't that clean and I found that the WiFi was the hardest to connect to for any Marriott I've ever stayed at throughout my travels. Speaking to the manager, the only thing he could really say is he tested it out and it worked fine for him. He didn't really seem too concerned or offer any other assistance than "sorry." The room wasn't that clean. You can clearly see that trash was left behind the desk. The floor didn't look like it was vacuumed and the fact just having one trash can in the room causes trash to pile up especially if you stay multiple days. This hotel may be convenient if you're attending any event at the conference center, but not at all convenient if you're trying to use WiFi while there. Also, very limited TV channels that have issues with watching due to connectivity. Maintenance, by the way, when looking into the WiFi issues only says that their provider is out of Texas and you know you can't get good customer service there...as he doesn't really help further. read more

I really wanted to like this Courtyard because my client just relocated to the office park. The rates were higher than I usually pay in Bedford/Manchester where I usually stay but I was willing to pay up for convenience. First, the staff were all very nice and helpful. But the room was not that clean. There were stains at the base of the toilet and broken furniture. The food at the bistro was not good. There was a microwave in the lobby but not in the rooms. My deal breaker is the WiFi. I stayed for two nights and could not stream. That's what I do when I'm away from home for work! read more

We are Bombay members. We have travelled a lot and stayed in many Marriotts throughout the country. This one (which we have stayed in before) is very expensive being a mediocre facility. In order to get the benefits of being a "member" you have to book through Marriott Reservation, which cost well over $360. if you book through a third party (Booking. com) which is cheaper. though not much, you do not get member benefits nor a veteran discount. This is unprofessional, unacceptable and unaccomodating. I thought we were finally treating our veterans better. read more

Rooms are ok, bathroom fixtures were cheap and dated. Bathroom was poorly lit. Sporadic room service; they changed the towels but ignored the bed. Drinks and food were WAY overpriced. Not walkable and you have to drive thru a homeless encampment to get into town. Not their fault, but a reality right now if you're staying here. There have to be better accommodations in Concord. read more

I was injured in their Bistro Cafe - not 1 employee gave a crap even when they saw blood running down leg. Had to switch rooms after insisting maintenance come as I had no a/c due to 2 air vent leaks, a tub drain issue, and TV channels only worked part-time. Had to leave hotel @ 3:30am & checkout due to flight & was told I had to turn in my Room Keys - I waited 15 min (screamed, rang doorbell, nothing) and my Hold deposit still has NOT been returned nor have I received a receipt for the stay (we pre-payed, but still owed by law). And still have not received copy of incident report written with pencil by Manager Maggie (unprofessional & even tried to cover name of Front Desk Clerk who was rude & cared more about her printer than the customers). And housekeeping believes they shouldn't have to make our beds each day - told personally. Excuse me but I've had infectious diseases & to avoid return u do not reuse towels or share & bed linens from unknown places (like hotels) u get changed each day! This place is UNPROFESSIONAL, SNOTTY & full of lazy employees. The ONLY reason I assume this hotel stays open is because of Stacie - a phenomenal Front Desk Clerk who loves her job & customers! She deserves to be the Manager here! I'll definitely NEVER come back again nor recommend to clients or friends. read more

This hotel was the chosen stay for our family reunion, and shortly into our third night booking, pretty much everyone wished we were staying elsewhere. We had a sofa sleeper, but there were no linens so we had to order some from the front desk and make our own bed. There was tissue and candy wrapper behind the dresser drawer. Others complained that the fitted sheet didn't fit the mattress and kept falling off. Our sheets were old and Pilly. There was no tea in the room for brewing in the morning. Unlike my usual Spring Hill Suites and Fairfield Inn, I had to purchase my beverage at their Starbucks in the hotel lobby. The hotel pool and whirlpool were bone dry, maybe some COVID measures? The carpets in this motel are old and dirty. In short, this hotel is not what I've come to expect from a Marriott. Especially with the price you pay. It felt more like a motel off the highway you would pay half the price or less. read more

Perhaps a little nicer than you'd expect from a 3-star hotel in a small New England town, with very sweet and helpful employees. Our room was spotless and well put together. It's not luxury -- not by a long shot -- but it's a perfectly servicable place to stay. We heard from other people who have stayed at the other hotels in the area that the Courtyard is the best of the bunch, and we weren't disappointed. read more

We stayed 3 nights for a visit to nearby Gunstock Mountain. We received no housekeeping during our stay. When I asked about they said " oh sorry about that ". They did not offer any solution or compensation. The sheets would not stay on the bed. read more

Nice hotel in a quiet area. Was very convenient to many local places to eat and shop, plus close to Concord downtown. I'm not a huge fan of the Bistro--I feel like that they try to make good food fancier than it needs to be. Otherwise great place to stay, especially if you need to be the business area. read more

***The comfortable rooms and friendly and helpful customer service coupled with this hotel's proximity to Downtown Concord make this an excellent option if you are in New Hampshire for business or visiting friends*** This was one of my most pleasant stays at a Courtyard recently. I think a lot of it had to do with the location. The people both inside and outside this Courtyard (restaurant servers, policemen) were very pleasant and helpful. This property is also located very close to Downtown Concord, which has a quaint small town feel with nice streets and even some good local food spots. In terms of the property itself, this Courtyard did feature Courtyard's Bistro and modern (powered) lobby concept, but the room décor seemed to be slightly old-fashioned. My room was comfortable though. I was actually upgraded to a suite with my Platinum status and the room was very spacious. It included a very nice living area with chairs, a sofa and a coffee table as well as a long counter with a kitchen sink, refrigerator and microwave. The bedroom was a separate room and it was comfortable with a good room temperature. This Courtyard also features a fairly large meeting room section. Some Courtyards feature small 15 to maybe 25 people meeting rooms, but this Courtyard has a series of rooms including several big rooms that could even hold banquets and such. The staff supporting the meeting rooms were very nice and helpful with last minute issues. Service at the front desk was very pleasant and the room rate was not too high. This is a pleasant Courtyard and a good option for guests on a business trip in Concord given the comfortable stay as well as the proximity to Downtown Concord, which can give you a small taste of the state's culture and produce. This Courtyard offers free parking and it is easy finding an open space. read more

I've stayed here twice while working on events in the area. The staff gets high praise from me; check-in, even late at night, feels very welcoming indeed. One clerk even noticed that I'd be coming back again in a couple of weeks, and made sure to thank me for the repeat visits. The rooms were clean and in good repair, and the Internet connection included in the bill (I'm so tired of the extra $10/day charges at some hotels). I'd be happy to come back. read more

I've stayed here quite a few times and can tell you it's a very good hotel to stay in. Why the 3-Star rating? The rooms are dreadfully small. That can be said for any Courtyard by Marriott. The staff is great and have always been kind to me. In the next few months from the time of this review (July 2013) they will be adding a Starbucks cafe in the lobby which will be great if you are a Starbucks lover. I will continue to stay here when I come to Concord. read more

I stayed here recently one night for a business trip. The front desk staff was accomodating, my room had a king size bed and a pull out couch for just me and was priced under $100. Everything was clean and comfortable, which was nice after a long afternoon in the car. When I first arrived I noticed that the toilet in my room wasn't flushing correctly. I reported it to the front desk on my way out for the evening and when I came back a few hours later it was fixed with a note to let me know they'd been there to work on it. I didn't eat or drink anything there but the lobby looked like a nice place to hang out - there was a bar area and also a small cafe type space where I saw people in the morning getting coffee and breakfast. There was free wifi, but even though it said I was connected to it I did have some trouble getting the internet on my phone without using data. read more

This place is awful! Service is terrible very slow and they don't care. I suggest you go anyplace else but this place.

The website says the rooms have microwaves and refrigerators, so I planned ahead and brought some fresh fruits and yogurt, only to find my room did not have either. Apparently, only 1/2 the rooms have them, so make sure to be very clear when booking if you want one.. They also do not have a vending machine. Beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Non smoking building. read more

Yup, it's a Courtyard - Always reliable, consistent, and clean. I'm a loyal Marriott hotel user :-)

Great hotel! The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed the Bistro, Bar and Starbucks that are all located in the hotel. The room was large, clean and updated. We will stay here again. read more

Very nice hotel! The room is very nice and clean and the staff is very accommodating and friendly. They are currently doing some renovations (Sept., 2013) so they have moved the front desk. The only criticism I have is that the place is a bit difficult to find. I'd definitely come here again next time I am in Concord. read more

I travel a lot as a Supply Chain Quality Engr and I can tell you I've never been in a friendlier hotel. They even searched all the laundry for my daughter's lost bear! At first I was a bit concerned over their breakfast offerings, not included with the hotel room price and in my experience the 10$ breakfast buffets are not worth the money for pre-cooked food. Especially when traveling with 10 and 13 year olds. No worries, the prices are reasonable and cooked for your order with a good selection available. Worth the money. (Oh, a walk in medical clinic is literally right next door, nice, never needed one before on a trip) read more

Very clean and modern Courtyard. Front desk and Courtyard Cafe workers are uniformly nice and efficient. Breakfast was great. Sleep quality great. Treadmill worked -- thank you. Concord NH is a gem -- New England that is charming with small town folks who are nice. Downtown Concord is extremely well done. Old buildings with lots of fresh, upbeat businesses. A pleasure to visit. I just about gave this updated Courtyard five stars based on how pleasant Concord NH is downtown. Check out White Mountain Coffee downtown and Vibes for a burger and onion rings. read more

I'm not sure how good this hotel is to stay in as an individual, however it is a TERRIBLE place to book a wedding reception. My niece had this venue booked 6 months before her wedding and had a block of rooms reserved. Just 4 weeks before the wedding, she found out that they had booked a large drag queen show at the same time in the same area. They booked this show long after she had booked hers but before she had printed her invitations, so she could have had the opportunity to change venues and have it on her invitations if they had been upfront with her. But they were not, so she basically wasted the money she spent on the invitations and had to scramble to call, email and text everyone to change their hotel reservations. I don't think they were planning on telling her at all. And now, they are balking at giving her deposit back! Now, I have nothing against drag queens and the shows are great fun, but these two events are clearly not compatible. I don't know if the hotel event coordinator is really that clueless or really that callous towards their guests. Either way, I would not trust my event to these bozos. (Sorry, Bozo). read more

First of all, I'm a fan of Courtyard. However, this one is truly a gem in the franchise. I come here almost weekly for work and have gotten to know the staff pretty well. In fact, it only took about 3 weeks for the entire staff to recognize me and call me by name. For someone who travels weekly, having a little sense of recognition makes even a hotel seem like home. Maddy at the Bistro is a sweetheart. I have seen her, on multiple occasions, re-open the bar just for customers because she knows they've had a rough day or a tough time traveling. Even when she knows it'll result in her getting out an hour late (and most of the time without a notable tip for her flexibility) she still does what she can to serve the customer to her best ability. Whenever I hear of people coming to this area for work or pleasure, I make sure to tell them about the Courtyard - and I make them promise to tell Maddy I say hello! read more
