I really hope Christian gets recognized by higher management, corporate, everyone. Truly a shining…read morestar in the hospitality world. I've had an interaction with him almost every day I've stayed here and he's been nothing but warm, attentive, inviting, everything you could possibly want and need from someone working in hospitality. This was also one of the nicest Double Trees I've stayed at. Ever. 10/10. Would recommend staying here, especially for corporate stays. Some negatives: the bar is not great (my margarita was a terrible premade mix and I was charged $16... with a table salt rim) and the breakfast buffet should come included. $18 - $20 was astronomical for what we got. I had nicer, free breakfasts at embassy suites and other budget hotels. Also if you have a conjoining room, you will hear other people. But people were considerate when I was here. Made this post mainly to highlight Christian. Really was in awe of how good he was at his job.

The lounge stayed equipped with snacks 24/7. Breakfast was available from 7am. The pictures I looked at showed a jacuzzi, so I was expecting one but all they had was a pool. Pool is spacious and heated. The gym area was quick spacious with number treadmills, bikes, and elipicals available for use. The parking lot was $15 and on the cheaper side for Hilton parking prices which allowed in/out access.

So along the way we decided to check out the Artisan Hotel lounge...Wow what a great 1st impression. Love the atmosphere! Prompt, professional and polite bartenders. Very good cocktail, beer and wine selections. Well rounded appetizer/entree menu. Reasonably priced. I had the Vesuvius craft tequila cocktail which did have a tasty bite. WARNING: WOMEN ARE NOT SAFE HERE! DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!!…read more From the moment I checked in, this place was a disaster. My room was dirty and sticky, and despite being told housekeeping would clean it the next day, they never did. The entire fourth floor reeked of cigarette smoke, even though the hotel claims to be non-smoking. A few days into my stay, I went to the grocery store for some basic necessities. As I returned with my last load--two cases of sparkling water and a bag of snacks, I stepped into the elevator on the first floor. At the same time, an employee walked out, looking down at his phone. As he passed me, he turned his camera toward me and snapped a picture. I immediately stepped out of the elevator, turned the corner, and asked, "Is there a reason you just took a picture of me?" Instead of responding like a professional, he started screaming at me, calling me crazy, and getting in my face. I'm 5'1"--a young woman traveling alone--yet when I stood up for myself, I was met with aggression. Another employee witnessed the whole thing but did nothing. When I turned to him and asked, "Do you think it's okay for him to speak to me like that?" he just stared blankly. The man who took my picture stormed upstairs, to the same floor I was staying on. Turns out, he lives in the hotel with his wife, which was shocking to me. Moments later, he came back down with his wife and got right back in my face, shaking with rage, screaming at me, and spitting as he yelled. His wife glared at me like her blood was boiling At this point, I was terrified. This man, a hotel manager, looked like he was about to hit me. His wife eventually went back upstairs, but he stayed to mock and intimidate me. When I told him I felt unsafe, he laughed in my face and said I wasn't getting a refund. He offered to switch my room, but knowing he had access to every room, I refused. This place is a complete nightmare. The employees are either scared of losing their jobs or simply don't care, and management acts like they can do whatever they want, including living in the building for free. I filed a police report, but nothing was done. No matter how cheap the rates may seem, DO NOT STAY HERE. If you're a woman traveling alone, especially, pay a little more for your safety and peace of mind.

During our 3 day stay we had to get new cards twice. And no, they werent near any phones. They just wouldn't work. The bathroom on the other hand. First the bathroom door wouldn't close at all. There was 4 of us in this room. 2nd the shower was extremely hard to turn on and it was a handicap room so you'd think it would have been easier. The shower wasn't very accessible either as it was a bathtub. The shower head also had mold growing on it. The breakfast was your average breakfast at a hotel. Carton scrambled eggs, corn beef hash (which I have never seen at a hotel breakfast.) It was undercooked though. Bagels, fresh waffles, cereal, yogurt, muffins, and fruit. So nothing extravagant. Overall id give it 2 stars mainly for the mold, door not closing, and inaccesibility!

This morning trying to make coffee in the rooms coffee maker I discovered it was broken. Getting in the shower I discovered some kind of mold around the door of the shower as well as around the hand railing inside the shower. I will never stay there again. DO NOT recommend this hotel.
