I always waited at least 1 hour ( sometimes an hour and half ) to actually see Dr Waskins even though I never seen more than 2 people waiting and no one in the rooms. I never felt like a patient , always had issues for simplistic refills and was put in a very dangerous position by Meagan with a med that had been prescribed to me for over 20 years , she stated she would NOT refill I would need to seek other assistance when I was literally having panic attacks with no meds. I truly believe they have "god complex's" and should not be practicing . I was also told I would not be seen by their office anymore when attempting to obtain an appointment so I am now again in a precarious position thanks to them, Every time I did need care due to tests results or issues I was deferred to other Dr's , always shuffling the actual care and responsibility to someone else, as far as I'm concerned they really only operate for the insurance angle , always tests tests even though I have blood work done by 3 different Dr's I was forced to pay for visits every 3 months and blood work even though I literally just had done with others , Insurance whores !

I was scheduled for a procedure and needed a new doctor right away to do my pre-op. Dr Copen was perfect -- doing all the tests and signing off on the authorization. Since then, we see him a few times a years regularly. We used to see him in the old office, but now he's located right within holy cross hospital. He has been my father's cardiologist for the past couple of months and we are beyond pleased with him. He is very through with all of his patients and spends a great deal of time explaining, listening, and being present with his patients. I didn't realize doctors like him existed anymore! At the end of each visit with my dad, he makes sure we understand the plan of care and we are in agreement. His office staff are very pleasant and a good representation of the practice he runs. They definitely treat the whole patient and not just the symptoms by casually reaching for the presctiption pad. I have not had even one problem at any level, be it appointments, prescriptions, or referrals. They even assisted me in getting more benefits from my insurance. As proof of just how well the practice functions: in my 18 years going to Dr Mabourakh I have observed only one employee turnover. Try and match that in any other office.

The office actually answers their phones and returns calls. They accept most insurance, and the Doctor is affiliated with several area hospitals. This is important in case you are admitted for some reason. He has great reviews on WebMD and Healthgrades. The staff is friendly and asks/answers all my questions. Conveniently located off Federal Highway, but parking lot is a bit small. I wish the waiting room had better magazines, but the wait was minimal.
