Ordered a wrist corsage and boutonnière for my daughter's prom a week prior and specifically asked for peach and pink colored flowers. Had my husband pick up and they had made two wrist corsages with no boutonnière. When told of the error all they said was, well that was what was on the order form, of which I was never given a copy, and gave us a boutonnière that they had lying around, which looked like it was made for Christmas, not spring, with a large red rose and some sort of sprig of berries. The wrist corsage was 7 white mini roses with baby's breath and red ribbon, which wasn't even close to what I had asked for. All for $54... Although I was in Genuardi's earlier to grab a cutesy-dog Valentine's card, the thought of grabbing one of those quickie semi-dead floral baskets with the heart-shaped helium balloon and a Palmer's (barf) Chocolate bon-bon by the Little Debbie snack case sent chills of "lame last-minute husband thoughtless gift-giver" up the old spine. I remembered vaguely that there was a florist in downtown Erdenheim; so I headed there to grab a nicer last-minute bouquet. Although they were super busy, they were friendly, attentive and quick. ZERO STARS. He would get ZERO but Yelp is not giving me that as an option. I arrived as the first customer and the man who unlocked the door (I guess the owner?) was grumpy from the get-go. He asked me if I needed any help and I explained to him that I was looking for a small bouquet for secretary's day. I asked him about Gerber daisy's and he told me that they were three dollars a stem and with a little sticker shock I guess I repeated "Really? Three dollars??" several times. Over the course of five minutes I tried to find something small but pretty to offer my receptionist but he seemed incredibly put off to be helping me. I was his only customer. "Wow, really, three dollars for Gerber daisies?" I said again, to which he replied VERY curtly that YES, that was the cost of daisies because he had to have them imported and that is just the cost. I diplomatically asked him to not be aggressive with me and this is where he basically exploded. He got very angry saying "Well, if you didn't keep asking me over and over the price of the daisies - I TOLD you they are three dollars a stem, that is just the cost!" Upset, I told him I was taking my business elsewhere and that he should know better than to talk to a customer that way. He yelled as me all the way until I got out the door, saying "That's not how YOU treat the general public!!" I will NEVER be going back to this flower shop again. Coupe Florist is excellent! Our son and his wife used Coupe for their wedding this past July. What a beautiful array of colors and depth inclusive of greens and succulents. The venue was brightened by such beautiful flower displays! The bridal party bouquets and boutineers were perfect!! Also, we had a family party and used Coupe flowers for fall bouquets, table center pieces and mums and other plantings around the patio area. It was very well done and made the yard look fabulous! Did not deliver on time and poor quality. Flowers were clearly old and already wilting. For the price I was very disappointed since the bouquet was for my mom for Mother's Day. I would say do not buy anything sight unseen Update: Called to complain and the manager said they would send a new bouquet that day. Replacement flowers were as bad if not worse. read more
