They did a decent job on all the rough plumbing - moving water heater, moving gas lines, putting in the piping for my bar sink, bathroom sink and shower. Then came time to finish the job and install my fixtures. I came home from work excited to finally see my completely finished basement, only to find that instead of the high-end fixtures there were some cheap, apartment-grade faucets installed, and no shower whatsoever. Turns out that the owner never even ordered the fixtures and just tried to install some cheap crap without even saying anything about it. He then got very upset when we demanded that he order and install the correct fixtures. This was supposed to delay the finishing of our basement by 4-6 weeks, however as that time drew nearer he became very unresponsive. There was a complete gap in communication for over a month beyond that 4-6 weeks with some ignored messages in between. In the end I ordered the parts myself and in doing so found out that he had installed the incorrect valves in my walls - which at this point had already been closed up. I ended up having to hire a new plumber to open up my walls, install the correct valves, and properly finish the job. I would not recommend this guy to anyone. I can't believe that he purposely installed the incorrect valves in my wall without telling me, installed cheap faucets without informing me and then had the audacity to get angry with me when confronted about it. Just an awful experience all around. Delayed my finished basement by over 3 months.

At the time, Eleete came through and provided everyone with estimates for connecting the residence to the city water. I didn't jump right away since I knew I had some good years left in the ol' well pump. A month or so ago Eleete was back in the neighborhood doing some hookups for some houses down the street. We talked it over and decided to ask them to give us an estimate that was reasonable so we pulled the trigger. Couldn't be happier with the turn out. While the yard did get torn up I think they did a better job than at preserving the grass than some of the other contractors I've seen. It was a simple job, straight up the front yard but the best part was the hookup in the basement. All copper pipe and fittings with all the amenities you could ask for: pressure regulator, pressure gauge on the home side, a tank to absorb any over pressurization of the plumbing. They were able to use an underground process that did not disturb any of the landscaping and fixed the problem. They were both efficient and kind. They cleaned up everything. Not inexpensive, but MMSD has a program for pipe issues that does assist with the cost but you do have to use approved contractors. Heiden happens to be one of those contractors. After using them, I know why they are approved. They helped us in an emergency situation and I would highly recommend them.

I called for someone to come take a look at some water that was in my basement. It had leaked under…read morethe wall between the boiler room and the office next door. The guy that came was very nice, but his initial assessment was that the water was coming from the other side of the wall and he wanted to see what was back there. I knew this was impossible since there are no pipes in that office, so I thanked him for his time we had a nice chat on his way out. A few weeks later, the water softener died and poured water all over and back under the wall again. This was the culprit and my take on the plumber's inspection was correct. Some weeks later, the accountant from the company called and insisted on payment. I was very annoyed because absolutely no value was added during the visit. I did pay the balance because I understand that receiving a professional to your home on a service call does have an accepted base-rate or fee. I explained to the accountant however that this was bad form and would guarantee that I'd never be interested in calling again. I too work in the service industry as an onsite IT person (since '97) and I know full well when I've made a visit that shouldn't be billed. And my rates and relevance are exactly the same. I'm writing this both to make sure the marketing team over there have a talk with the accountant, and to point out to the owner of Quick Fix that I spent $18,000 on the replacement boiler and water heater. Pissing off customers over $75 really can be expensive.
