However, it helps with the process when the staff are kind and willing to assist in the manner they are able. Most clerks/customer service employees here cannot answer certain questions or provide advise that may teeter into "legal advice territory" which is completely understandable when they're not practicing attorneys and are to remain neutral in the cases. However, they can answer some questions and especially if one is careful in how the question is framed. I have been to this court a few times, it feels lighter than the ones down town (for obvious (to me) reasons), I don't mind coming up here when I have to and when I do, I leave feeling a little more at ease than when I first arrived. Today, the same was true. Be patient, be kind, and remember these are our public service workers and they do their very best, I believe.

But it made changing the ownership of our property extremely simple. We chatted via a screen with a helpful person who led us through the steps from scanning our changed documents to paying for the changes. It took no more than 10 minutes and we were done. Very professional metal detector (wand)...All good. The pro bono lawyer was excellent, and I learned more in that ten minute session...than the last few years. Lol. The review would have been a two stars...but the very nice lady at window 1 where you file divorce papers, the amazing lawyer who filled me in on a few things, and the security being exceptional...earned another star. I was immediately ask what the medication was and why I receive it. I openly told them what the medication was to stop them from handling the pills. Although, I wasn't willing to tell the why I take it. I told them I would show them it was percribed to me and the reason isn't any of their buissness. I was told by a officer they would have to take the medication and lock it up. I ended up calling for a supervisor and had to jump through hoops including pulling up what medication is typically percribed for via my phone. This seems like a huge hippa violation. Government shouldn't be able to ask why you take medication. Anyways, I was disappointed and didn't feel this was keeping anyone safe or a reasonable request.

The court takes care of traffic offenses, criminal misdemeanors and town ordinance violations. Open court is held Wednesdays from 8 am until close of business. On the side of the main building are administrative office and the Cave Creek Water Department. In addition there are Blink EV charging stations. Quick trip in to drop off some paper work & I noticed they have some padding around the handles of…read morethe door to get into the building. Not completely sure the purpose since you can't use your arm to open it but I guess if it was a hot day, it would be helpful. Upon entering you not only have to walk through the metal detector, & have your personal effects go through the imaging machine but before you walk through the metal detector, you scan your wrist for temperature check. I think this is great & super helpful. The building is beautiful. You should definitely check it out when you get a chance.

This was in fact my…read morefirst experience with a Pima County Sheriff that was actually kind of an a**; he literally threatened to extend my fines because it was during, "aggravated driving hours," wtf ever that means. I mean, if someone is angry because of traffic, why are you going to justify that anger? And nothing about my demeanor was angry, I fully admitted I made a mistake. But, I digress... I had issues with paying my fines, so I called the courts. The clerks (2 I talked to over the phone) at the court were freakin' awesome, absolutely understood my struggles of being a dad of 3 and constantly super busy all the time. The first guy gave me the run down on what I needed to do, and explained it ALL in detail. He even extended my due date to help me out further. He then gave me advice on what would be cheapest, and would look better on my record! I followed his advice, but found some trouble in Arizona's website building skills... I got the majority of my ticket forgiven, and was attempting to rectify the last portion of it, but Tucson's court website was down. The second guy knew the system was down, and granted me an extension again; an absolute life savor. I even called 10 minutes before they close (which is right when I get home from work)! And he still helped me out without complaint. I'm sure you do that all the time, but it really is appreciated, guys!!! The negative reviews on here seem to be from foolish or just anti-cop people. But take a page from my book, and call them! If you get anyone as awesome, kind and helpful as the two that helped me, they'll help you save your own butt (only you can ultimately help yourself).
