Re: Complaint: County Market/Neimann Foods stores (Illinois and "digital" strategy and lures/marketing/sales (Systems and practices.
This is not a comment about the Gibson City location but rather CORPORATE, the CEO/Ownership, Marketing and IT and their tactics and use of "digital" experience and risk management.
Although it is "trendy" to surveil and track and force customers who want discounts to downloand a creepy App on a Smartphone (which is unsafe and deceives all consumer privacy) it is more of surveillance tool which is a disgusting and discriminatory stragtegy against not only lower income, races, demographics, handicapped and elderly folks and those shoppers who dont want or trust 'smartphones'. The ones outa college clearly don't understand or care how things work but buy these out of the box apps and shopping stalker processes to force shoppers to give up their IP address, location and to "study buyer behavior". It is both intrusive, deceptive sales and discount practice and neglects a big majority of shoppers who have and do spend a ton of money weekly at County Market/Neimann stores. As a consumer advocate and systems person, I realize how far gone the surveillance (calling it risk management processes), stalking and "digital strategy" app/device forcing has gone. I will be contacting the SEC, BBB and Representatives and States Attorney to make sure they are aware of the marketing/sales and data sharing, selling and stalking and forcing customers into higher prices for items they would have bought at the advertized discount.
1. Stop advertizing "digital" only ads/coupons
2. Bring back paper ads and coupons (not all your shoppers desire a smartphone, trust them, are physically or mentally capable of using the terrible User Interface, use a "app" that requires so much navigation in order to even get a so called discount/coupon and that shares and sells data and tracks individuals and behaviors.
3. Stop calling Risk Management that when it is totally surveillance of employees, customers and stores and it exploits employees, customers and visitors and buyers. Research what you do a bit more (This includes systems, IT, 3rd parties you share and work with and logistics and your corporate/owners who clearly don't even care or know what your organization/stores do.
Your Gibson store cleary does not treat employees right and puts them in terrible positions and you don't pay them enough to put up with your intrusive corporate ways/process, systems and terrible "digital" and marketing/sales strategy. Reports mean nothing! Time to grow up and stop being cool and understand that plug and play marketing/sales and targeted apps/discounts and lure tactics are disgusting. So is surveillance via apps, systems, "risk management" systems and your corporation/stores have gone down a truly dark road.
This impacts elderly, frequent shoppers, consumer privacy protection laws, data breach risk, handicapped, races and low income folks and ANYONE who DOES NOT HAVE OR USE A SMARTPHONE !!!! Your demographic and logisitc strategy stink!
Maybe pay your employees more and treat them better rather than invest and glorify your "digital and marketing/sales" deception!
Me and my family and friends won't be utilizing County Market or Neimann in any area and trust me. You have stolen enough money from us for your gain and exploitation of employees and customers. What use to be a decent organization has gone to the dogs.
Stock and price better and stop acting like surveillance kings and queens at the expense of long time customers and locals! Its disgusting. Yesterday your organization stole $30.00 from me on items I should have been given a discount on but instead you forced an app download to get and then even after that fiasco, no discount was given.
As a systems person and developer on integrations its clear this fast and easy path to your stores and marketing/sales and lures is dark and disgusting to normal consumers. read more
