We went over the plan in detail, in person, multiple times before the move, including what was to be sold and what was to be moved. He seemed to pay little attention, so we labeled and categorized items with painter's tape and Post-it notes to make the instructions as clear as possible. Despite this, he sold thousands of dollars worth of items that were supposed to be moved and moved a significant amount of junk that was supposed to be sold or thrown away. Before the sale, he told my in-laws they would receive a detailed accounting showing what was sold and for how much. After they discovered that many valuable items had been sold despite their instructions, they asked for that accounting. Austin then pointed out that the contract did not specifically say he was required to provide one. He also told them their belongings would be moved to their new home immediately following the estate sale. Instead, their belongings did not arrive for more than a month, and Austin stopped responding to them during that time. Eventually, my in-laws' realtor contacted his mother, and they finally heard back from him. Most concerning of all, the estate sale took place in mid-July, and as of September 28, my in-laws still have not received a check for the proceeds from the sale. They are seeking legal counsel, and I will update this review once that process has played out. Based on our experience, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for estate sale and moving services.
