I decided to give her a try and I am so glad that I did. The girl KNOWS what she is doing! She listened to what I wanted, made recommendations that she thought would work as well and I just trusted her with it. Not only did she blow me away with the color, but also the cut looked exactly like the photo I brought and works great with my hair. She is also super relateable and easy to talk to and the whole experience was just fun. I drove down to NPR a tired looking gray haired old lady and left the salon looking 10 years younger! I will be back and I highly recommend. Also not many people know this, but rumor has it she might be doing Jon Bon Jovi's hair in the future. ;)

I got my hair done by Luis Santana Millan - he evened out my lopsided locks and gave me a very practical cut that needs little maintenance as I explained that I don't even like to brush my hair. Of course, he didn't let me walk out of there with bedhead - instead, he spent a looong time battling the 100 degree heat and accompanying humidity and gave me these gorgeous hot iron curls that I felt made me look like a doll! My mom had her hair cut by Debbie Santana Millan. Although Debbie herself has a truly WILD style, she really "got" my mom's own style. My mom got a chunky cut with perfectly straight across bangs, and it looked amazing, also! I usually get my hair cut at my "home" salon in Philly (shout out to American Mortals!), where I absolutely love my regular hairstylist (Shari), and I judge all "foreign" salons against this ultimate, urban standard. I admit I was a bit nervous about a random cut in the Golf Plaza strip mall across from the WalMart, but a week later I still love my haircut and would definitely go back next time I'm in town. Not only did we walk in without appointments, but we got taken care of right away! And the price really can't be beat, either - between $15-25!!!!!!

Another hair stylist I went to in my quest to find a hair stylist after my long-term stylist left the profession did not remove hair dye out of my ears. Rachael did.
