Down home Southern cuisine. Good prices and great food. I suggest the collard greens, they have a bit of sweet and smoky flavor.

Our waitress was extremely pleasant and made sure our drinks stayed full. All the food we had was yummy and came out piping hot. My daughter ordered the Togarashi Crusted Carolina Grouper which she said was delicious. I had the Grilled Colorado Lamb Rack, which was also very tasty and my husband ordered the Calabrese pizza, which I tried and was very good too. We really enjoy this place and typically come for brunch on Sunday's and this was our first time having dinner there, we will return. Also not pictured, we had the calamari (8/10), artichoke dip (8.3/10) and bread basket (6.5/10). Only complaint, I hated sitting near the bathroom and I expected more lamb on my plate for the price but overall, I give everything an 8/10.

We struggled with one of the chairs that was missing a glide and rocked terribly. The host just looked on. We ordered a chicken parmesan panini sandwich and the chicken green curry bowl. The chicken panini had potential. It included chicken, roasted tomatoes, ham, arugula and cheese. It would have been great but the grilled focaccia was a little tough to eat- chewy. It came with a side of House made chipotle chips that were very tasty. The chicken green curry was a pretty plate of food. It tasted great though the curry sauce could have been warmer. It was served with a mango coleslaw (more like a salsa) over coconut rice. It may have been the best tasting item that I've eaten in a restaurant in months.

I didn't dine in this time, I ordered my meal to-go but I still got a good feel for the space. I ordered spring rolls and shrimp and scallop hibachi. The veggies was definitely the highlight of the meal. The seafood was cooked nicely, but it was the fresh, crisp veggies that really stood out and gave the dish its balance. The portions were generous, big enough that you're not leaving hungry, and maybe even with leftovers for later. The spring rolls missed the mark for me. They lacked the veggie crunch I was hoping for and didn't have that crispy, golden snap that makes spring rolls irresistible. Instead, they leaned a bit on the soggy side, which left me wanting more texture and flavor balance. Overall, Hawaii Steak & Seafood House is one of those spots where you'll walk out full and satisfied portion-wise. The hibachi veggies shined, but a few other items could use a little fine-tuning. Clean space, big plates, and a meal that's worth a try if you're in the area.

My wife ordered the Roman and loved every bite. My daughter went with the salmon bento box, which was both beautiful and tasty. And me? I couldn't resist the "Sexy Girl" sushi roll--tempura shrimp and crab fried just right. Yep, yep... YUMMY! From start to finish, everything was flavorful, creative, and well-prepared. If you're looking for a place in Sumter with variety, flavor, and that "we'll definitely be back" factor--this is it!

Eat here! Folks,…read morethis is a decent family place with delicious and unique offerings from both Germany and Italy. Regrettably, I've only been twice and both times, my entire party went for the German so we'll limit the scope of our review to that. It should be noted, however, that some New Englanders I know were very happy with their pizza from here. Ok, onto the review: 1) Food: it's all great. They start you off with some garlic bread which is obviously homemade dough. It's great. We ordered the Curry Brats starter which is a quality german style sausage that has been nicely browned. It's served with a unique curry mustard which balances the dish perfectly with some acidity and spice. As for mains, I tried pieces of the Sauerbraten, the Jaeger Schnitzel, and I ordered the Rahm Schnitzel for myself. It was all delicious and my party (normally lighter eaters) cleaned their plates. The only questionable trend with the mains is that most things come out very lightly salted. To me, that's actually a good thing so you can salt to your liking or enjoy the dishes without feeling all salted up. For sides, I've had the Spätzle (a german style pasta browned in butter) and the rotkohl (red cabbage). Both are exactly what I hope for at a German restaurant. Delicious. The side salads were fresh. 2) Service: everyone is nice and expedient. I doubt they'll hesitate to fill any request you make. The owner even wandered out to the patio to see what we thought. You can tell they really care about their customers. 3) Ambiance: the joint really reminds me of a small neighborhood restaurant you would see in a town in Southern Germany. It's decent ambiance. The only thing that could be a bit better here is price but this is not a good economy we're in here. You'll probably pay around $15 a head but you will leave full and possibly even with leftovers (assuming you eat like a normal person not a pro bodybuilder). Okay, that's my review. Sorry for forgetting photos. I feel like a teenage girl taking food pics.
